Poor jay getting dumped by Lola! I felt a bit sorry for him.
He is quite old fashioned, by EE standards. He does need to ditch that cardi! The young girls are nearly always fashionably dressed.
The babies are always easy to raise too! Life in a soap, its another world.

Zsa Zsa is Tina's daughter but they've never actually been on screen together.

Jay has turned out well considering everything that's happened to him and the people he lives with!

Zsa Zsa is Tina's daughter. Dont think the dad was ever mentioned. All i recall is a pretty girl with very blue eyes. Was in trouble a fair bit.
Not in it that long.
Was amazed when it turned out Tina was her mum when the carters all appeared one by one.

I knew she was Tina's daughter but just assumed we'd never seen her, can't remember her at all!
Was she known as Shirley's niece when she was in it then? Or was that not mentioned?

She had big blue hair and lived with Shirley for a while. Was part of the E20 crowd that spawned Fatboy, Leon, Mercy, etc.

The Kathy story is ridiculous. So they just managed to slip into the country unnoticed by the authorities. I know its soap world but its a silly storyline.

I thought Ben was bloody brilliant tonight, I really liked his rant about taking a boy who likes musicals and putting him in the East End of London. You could see the scared little boy come out. Fantastic acting.

Maybe that's just in comparison to Les though...

I think the actor who plays Ben is very good. I really felt for him during his monologue - poor sausage.

I thought Ben was great tonight too, I had tears in my eyes when he said "mum". His speech about the little boy and all his troubles and admitting he was gay, that was such a huge thing for him as he has to pretend to be this big tough Mitchell when that's not really him at all. I feel very sorry for him.

Les really is shit! Why couldn't they have gor someone who can act ffs.

Dean is a horrible creepy weirdo and being very controlling. I wish his bloody comeuppance would happen faster. I'm hating seeing his face now.

The alternative Kathy story that She suggested this morning would have been great but there were some credibly powerful and moving scenes tonight with Kathy and Ben.

Bens acting was great. Can't work out if Kathy is scared of GAVIN - if she is playing games or if She actually loves him

Ian has taken Kathy returning really well. Not sure I would tbh

Les. Ahhhhhhhhh his gurning drives me insane tho did think his birdie was being a tad nasty. They have both lost their son but seems pam thinks it's only her who can grieve /miss him

That Les guy is a great comic actor. He's been in loads of stuff. I can't imagine why they decided to cast him in a role that would have serious storylines. Maybe they just thought he'd be the wacky undertaker at first, then they developed the character a bit more.

I also liked Ben tonight. I hope he will come out soon. Not least because it'd mean the end of his stupid relationship with Abi.

Anyone else laugh when Kaffy mentioned wanting a nice normal xmas? Yeah right lady. It's not gonna happen.

Just love the way everyone jumps from job to job and never hands notice in whether cafe pub mini mart or massoods meals on the market

Dean was also very controlling and coniving to mention the saloons job knowing damn well ROXY would say I can do it

He was. Dean is getting quite nasty. It's weird because he wasn't like that before (or maybe i don't remmeber, i had an EE break for a while) he had a huge crush on Linda (which in no way justified him raping her) but you could see why he would initially try it on when she was being so nice and sympathetic to him, of course as soon as she said no that would have been his cue to stop but since then, it's like they have changed him to fit in with this 'he is a rapist and a horrible person in all areas of life' ideal. But then they couldn't really have him being a rapist and being nice as that wouldn't fit.

I'm rambling and not making sense. But they need to get this storyline done and I'm getting so fed up of Dean swanning around whilst Linda has to put up with seeing him and people not believing her (which I know unfortunately is true to life). I think they are going to get much darker with him, then some people won't be able to take it anymore.

I think the development of Deans character has been interesting.

I think that he's got issues around women because of his mum leaving him. I don't think that he believes that he raped Linda he was obsessed with her couldn't see that it wasn't reciprocated. As for him getting off with it as horrible as it is that's the reality of rape in most cases, it can't be proved.

We've seen a vulnerable side to him but he also has a nasty controlling side which we're seeing now in his relationship with Roxy, I think we saw a glimmer of it when Lauren dumped him.

Sorry for the ramble but a similar thing happened to me that happened to Linda, and as with the story when I eventually spoke out people split and some people didn't believe me, and there was no evidence. It's the sad reality.

I am quite conflicted about how Dean's character is being developed. On the one hand, having people only start to believe Linda when Dean has turned into a monster might in some way reflect the struggle there is still ahead of us to have rape victims believed; but on the other hand it serves to reinforce the stereotype.
