Anyone watching this, I like Suranne Jones so I'm hoping it's good, but she is one paranoid woman, maybe she has good reasons, we'll wait and see Smile

So the girl is the daughter, but the affair is Ros? Shock And all the villagers collude to cover it all up?

Other people had the number of the affair phone, didn't they? They were listed in the text log.

chicaguapa · 16/09/2015 22:50

The daughter said she was having an affair with a married man though and the mum said he'd been having an affair for 2 years. Plus he left when he found out about the baby.

NoelHeadbands · 16/09/2015 22:53

Did anyone else notice when Ros came round and DrF offered her a rum and coke (she declined), there was a water glass on the counter, as if for someone else already there

PontyGirl · 16/09/2015 22:53

This made me feel terrible tonight! Not personally relatable but I just thought of all the threads I've read on Relationships and just felt angry for all the women who have to deal with this shit. I wanted to slap the 22 yr old when she was getting checked out by Dr Foster.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 16/09/2015 23:06

me too ponygirl. I dread to think what would become of DH's bollox if he ever did that to me.

Enjoyed the pace of last week's more than tonight's episode. dinner party neighbour man is a cock with his repetitive comments about the broken wing mirror Hmm

alabasterangel · 16/09/2015 23:19

I just think it's all some massive schizophrenic or delusional episode.....? I don't even think the girl she bribed with the pills really exists. I think we'll see cctv of her in the bar talking to no one....you never saw the brain tumour patient and the sleeping pills patient together in the bar? Sleeping pills lady was in the loo waaaaay too long? It was weird.

alabasterangel · 16/09/2015 23:20

Actually, I think she'll drown him THEN find out it was delusional and realise she's murdered her innocent husband....

YonicScrewdriver · 16/09/2015 23:22

the daughter theory doesn't add up with the sti bit though

Iusedtobecarmen · 16/09/2015 23:25

Right im getting in first with my theory before someone else has the same idea!
Firstly, I love this, its so intriguing!
Last week, when it showed the pics on the secret phone I immediately thought it was his daughter (kate).
Now this week too much confusion. He looked genuinely like he hadnt a clue when she collared him about affair.
Her friend quite casually breaching confidentiality. Not to mention the shit GEmma is doing.
Now I reckon none of this is happening. Not sure what exactly is going on, but reckon shes got some mental illness and is imagining all this. Mark my words!

Iusedtobecarmen · 16/09/2015 23:26

Fuck some of you got in before me!

DragonsCanHop · 16/09/2015 23:26

Me too pontygirl

Iusedtobecarmen · 16/09/2015 23:27

Alabasterangel
You have flaming nailed it. While I was still typing!

TheSpottedZebra · 16/09/2015 23:27

Or the friend is dodge. It was her that said about the sti. And that makes no sense.

Is she trying to stitch up Gemma professionally? Or is shagging husband? Or wants to?

Iusedtobecarmen · 16/09/2015 23:29

And noel,it defo deserves twiglet zone music.

squoosh · 16/09/2015 23:30

I'll be pissed off if it turns out to be all in her imagination. That will be such a lazy way out for the script writers.

Iusedtobecarmen · 16/09/2015 23:35

Squoosh
Its defo in her head. Too much going on to be real.
Ros breaching confidentiality
Gemma too++
Gemma packing and unpacking suitcases etc
Mil knowing
Stuff about lawyer with tumour. More massive breach of confidentiality.
Bribing a patient
I could go on!
Agree that she will kill him at end due to belief of imaginary affair(Schizophrenic)

lorelei9 · 16/09/2015 23:57

Not sure I can be arsed with it tbh. Not around next Weds either.

quangotango · 17/09/2015 00:34

or is it just a standard affair and revenge story?

did criss my mind that they might both have met in a psychiatric hospital in London during the 5y thing and she's having a relapse (could she be a senior partner GP tho?)

ellenanora5 · 17/09/2015 02:09

Noelheadbands, the glass was there because she was going to get her son a drink, he asked for coke and she said no, squash, took the glass out but the bell rang so she put it down on the counter, I think, I'm very confused to be honest, im not convinced at all that Kate is his lover or daughter, could she be involved with smarmy open top car man, can't remember his name, the two scenes where he mentioned the wing mirror, in the second one you can hear his wife saying "leave her alone" and she gets into the car without acknowledging them at all, arrgghh....like I said, I'm confused.

Can't wait for next week though, it is intriguing Grin

BabyGanoush · 17/09/2015 07:02

I don't know if the whole story will lead anywhere

Hate it that she has no friends to tell her to LTB

She can't do revenge as she has ger son to consider

What if she just takes him back? Sad

TheRainDrops · 17/09/2015 07:09

That's what I think Ellen, and maybe Kate isn't Simons daughter but he is having his affair with Ros??

NoelHeadbands · 17/09/2015 08:07

Re the glass, she'd already taken her son the glass of squash to his room, the doorbell went when she was upstairs talking to him didn't it? I don't think she took it back down.

Like this has any significance whatsoever Grin

poorbuthappy · 17/09/2015 08:14

I will be extremely pissed off if it all turns out to be in her head. Typical neurotic woman making it all up. No actually the chances are he is having an affair rather than her imaging it all.
A strongly worded letter will be written...??
