Anyone watching this, I like Suranne Jones so I'm hoping it's good, but she is one paranoid woman, maybe she has good reasons, we'll wait and see

Does anyone know the relevance of the motorbike accident? Was it the OW or just some random girl that knocked the guy off his bike? I couldn't figure out why it was in there at all?

I think the motorbike accident was just 'life' and of no relevance to the storyline at all.

just checked Mr Bartlett (the writer) out a bit more, as I want to guess what sort of direction this is going.

I was heartened to read he has re-written Medea for modern times, before, so he's quite into extreme revenge!

Would hate it if she just accepts it all and stays with him. NOOOOO!

But don't want her to go full Medea either, as I like the boy (Tom)....

I'm in the minority, but I think Suranne Jones is a terrible actress. Over the top, with gormelous facial expressions. Very monotonous in her delivery too.

The GP who told Ros to stop flirting seems to have a distaste for them all as if he knows something about them all, though Dr F doesn't seem to know as she appeared confused at his manner a few times.
I know it was mentioned before and discounted but is there some kind of sex party going on, as the Neil was very quick to jump to an affair, his wife's flirtiness with Simon and Ros seems like she'd join the party too given half a chance. Definitely some kind of 'open secret' amongst those from the village.

Was she suited up for her meeting with the divorce lawyer or for something else?

We know something big has to happen with accountant man's wife and Kate's father as they're both well known actors who surely can't be relegated to 'spear carrier' status.

What if it's mostly about how Ros is a baddie? She's always wanted Simon and had stirred throughout their marriage, and prodded/cajoled him as he had an affair (Simon still a baddie obvs). Then she stirs with alcoholic dr somehow - so he can be the one to come back, newly sober, and Reveal The Truth, aided by gormless dr.

Yes I agree about Ros. Something just not quite right about her.

She's like a sponge - going round mopping up little bits of everyone's lives, very creepily.
So she knows everything from ages ago and what's happened over the years, everyone trusts her, and yet people at the same time seem to regard her as somewhat insignificant.
I think she resents this "good old Ros" facade and is doing something about it, whilst maintaining that faux innocent persona.

She seems desperate to be liked/loved/shagged. I think she is in love with Simon and is jealous of SJ who she sees as a bloody upstart who stole her childhood sweetheart away from her.

It's really showing Dr.F that no matter how long she has lived in this village and a pillar of the community, she will always be an outsider to the "locals".

the investor cant be her parents as the money left to her was her inheritance when they both died, which he frittered away

tbh part of it is her fault, there is NO way i would leave all financial stuff to dh (rip) as if it were my money i was investing/saving i would keep a beady eye on it - saying that, dh did leave me to do all financial stuff (which im happy with) so guess some couples let the other do it all/trust them till too late and all money gone ..........

I think Simon and Kate aren't having an affair it's just a big scam and something to do with the flats and the investment.. I think the whole row/show down was an act for the the lady behind the bars benefit... So either they are all in it for the money working together and the whole mobile and photos etc she was meant to find... Just my thoughts .. Strange as they are!! Lol

I suspect there are any number of red herrings in the plot in order to keep this thread goin

Maybe the abusive boyfriend of the woman Gemma pays to spy is getting revenge on Rate My GP.

Lots of people have an axe to grind with her and could want online revenge:
Kate (jealousy)
Kate's mother and possibly father
Accountant's wife (jealousy)
Accountant (blackmail)
Lawyer (telling his wife about medical condition)
Ignored patient in surgery
Ros (jealous)
Alcoholic doctor (jealous)
Abusive boyfriend (threatening him and girlfriend leaving)

I'm not sure where Simon's assistant comes into it though.

Did anyone else find Gemma particularly cold towards her son when he was crying about his dead granny? She was hesitant in hugging him. She just sat back and observed father and son grieving.

Maybe the nervy male GP fancies Gemma?

I didn't get the impression she provided her MIL with tablets. Seemed strange Simon would tell his Mum so much!

The bad review on Rate My GP could have been sent by the annoying patient or Anna?

I thought the start of Episode 3 with Doctor arriving at an accident scene en route to meet the solicitor was just to show how good at her job she is in a crisis. She didn't elaborate when she arrived, just said modestly, "Traffic". Ofc perhaps the grateful biker will turn out to be an assassin.

Not sure if Gemma is aloof and arrogant, just an outsider. She's put a lot of trust in Carly, and she could have walked past the senior ex-partner drunk on a bench but she's helped them both.

I thought maybe Kate lied about the abortion just to get at Simon. Now Gemma has told the guy with a brain tumour she and Simon are back on course it will all kick off again when Kate says she's still pregnant.

Love the theories! Kate's dad is definitely Whitestone. He'll stay with her because he can't lose the investment (or something).

Agree there's something weird about Ros. But Genma's an oddball too, can't figure her out at all.

The accountant is so NOT hot. And if that was supposed to be all about passion it was very unconvincing.
