I was hoping that Gemma was Whitestone, and she was checking that her subterfuge had worked. I like my version better Tbh.

I'm so hoping this is all Gemma's big plan to get Simon to trust her then bring him down just when he needs her most.

But on the relationship board, no one goes off and sleeps with the accountant! A ducks in a row, revenge set up and then she leaves him in the end would be a much better and more plausible story.

He remortgaged her house and used her parents inheritance for his business, both without her knowing. Dr F clearly isn't as bright as she likes to think she is.

TheSpottedZebra I don't think we do know for sure that Kate's dad is Whitestone BUT Simon said in a previous episode that Kate's dad was helping him out with the business....

It would make perfect sense for Kate's dad to be supporting his business financially and then to pull the plug when he finds out about Simon's relationship with his daughter.

And then Kate's mum will announce that Simon is actually Kate's father!

Question: When Gemma at the beginning of the episode went to see the divorce lawyer, did he say that if Gemma and Simon had split up, they would've started off splitting things 50/50? Just hubby spoke over that part.

Yes, lawyer said it would be 50/50. And I agree, I'd shag him rather than the accountant (he was in Teachers but he looks better a bit older/with a beard).

I think shagging his own daughter and getting her pregnant is a shock Too Far for the beeb

2rebecca I'm only thinking that maybe Kate is Simon's daughter because:

1. There was clearly some history between him and her mother and he looked quite perturbed when he realised that Gemma's patient was the same woman. In fact, he said "Sorry" to Gemma as they walked towards the restaurant.
2. We know that Simon used to sleep around as a young adult because the old doctor said so. There was nothing else to do in that town.

I don't think Simon realises that Kate is his daughter but he has inexplicably strong feelings for her and is confused by this.

I could probably get over him shaghing someone else but I'd never get over him remortgaging the house without telling me nor forging my signature. I mean, that's actually fraud.
