I think you have all spent too much time on the Relationship board and so the events are all too familiar. For many people watching they'll have no idea how finely balanced it can all be and that you'd need to have all your ducks in a row before confronting and that despite having been cheated on you need your wits about you to protect yourself.

I prefer the MN version. Poor job, BBC!

This is so disappointing.

I completely agree that it's like a soap affair strung out too long when you don't really care about any of them.

As usual, the MN thread plot is much better than the actual programme, just like in the one with the missing child.

Noel I hate Ros too...she is slippery. But I think Gemma knows that and is going to use it to her advantage.

I'd like the story to be about revenge...hell hath no fury and all that....surely that has got to be the theme. I wish they would just get on with it though!

Maybe Kate is Simon's daughter but he just doesn't know it. There was clearly history between Simon and Kate's mother. He would have been 18 at the time Kate was born. All possible in that place where everyone is sleeping with someone else (nothing else to do there).

Simon is definitely a bellend but I think he is damaged from his childhood. Not that I am using that as an excuse for being a bellend but it does go some way to explaining why he just can't cope with life.

I think it's all pretty plausible actually. Probably based on one of the many threads on here where a woman finds out her husband is being unfaithful (although I did love the flights of fancy earlier :o) and then dithers and prevaricates because she can't bear the idea of her whole world crashing down. So many times they say 'I can't bear to wreck my DC's life' although they're not the ones doing it - it's the shagging husbands.

Having said that, some of the plot is a bit beyond the pale - her shagging her accountant was v silly
