Joni, not really, IMO. She said 'tell me the truth' and he said 'no affair' - she didn't say anything about what she knew etc.

I think Kate was so calm when Gemma was questionibg her because she is brazen.

So shutup when Gemma cried in the kitchen when Simon denied the affair, do you think she cried out of anger that he'd denied it or that she really wanted to believe him??

I think she cried out of grief that he denied it - as it was confirmation that she is married to someone she doesn't know at all.

Poor Gemma. Feel sorry for her. It its just a standard affair, I'll be disappointed but hoping that Simon's not part of it. Hoping that Kate is his daughter from when he wasnt married.

Well she'd have to be bloody stupid not to realise Gemma knew if it is Simon she's sleeping with. She must be wondering why Gemma delved into it so much? You'd have to come to the conclusion that the wife knew and had just practically confessed as much.

Agree Kate is definitely the daughter and the affair is with her Mum. Gemma is definitely unbalanced, it looks like she is plotting some kind of elaborate revenge plan.

dh said after watching this he would never have an affair as it looked far too much hard work, all that organising and remembering where you're meant to be - it's easier just to come straight home.

I hope also that Gemma doesn't kill Simon by drowning him but then realises when it's too late that he's completely innocent of everything.

Simon is fit and too nice to be having an affair. I still stick to my imagination theory. Perhaps she had a history of paranoia previously in their marriage,which is why he casually said 'im not'when GEmma asked about the affair.

His mother knows about the affair, but not who, could it actually be Ros? She was at school with Simon, maybe they have rekindled an old romance? (What has she been in, by the way? I know I've seen her in something before)

I think anger and also disbelief that he could lie so blantly to her face when she had given him opportnuity to confess.

I think she cried because she believes she has all the evidence she needs and now she just needs him to own up, he didn't and it must have just condemned the relationship for her.

Read back, to my theory. The bribed patient who wants sleeping pills will be a figment, or at the least an elaboration after the crappy BF confronted. They met in a bar, late at night, and the brain tumour man didn't come face to face with her. She either doesn't exist at all, or has just been a trigger for a character which doesn't fully exist in DrFs mind.

All that forehead rubbing, angst , confusion, yeah it's an affair thing but also a clue as to mental angst.
