Oh ice I hated it when dp decided to watch the dvd with me. It's never good to have a gooseberry tagging along...

pixieg1rl · 20/09/2015 18:46

MrP has no idea that he's doing the washing up that we're watching tonight

pixieg1rl · 20/09/2015 18:47

orphan · 20/09/2015 18:51

pixieg1rl · 20/09/2015 18:54

Me too. We're obviously dead classy Hmm

Rhubarb01 · 20/09/2015 19:01

This time last year I watched Downton Confused before turning to iplayer. What was I thinking? I do have some hopes of Downton being better this series as its the last. Must admit I really enjoyed the first two series but it all started to go wrong when Sybil died and don't get me started on the pigs again!

Well I have my DVD in place ready to push the button at crucial moment to start operation watch along. I make that 119 minutes and counting!

Ilovelblue · 20/09/2015 19:11

Can you not find a v urgent DIY job he needs to concentrate on? Or send him out to the pub?

KellyHb · 20/09/2015 19:16

Sorry you can't join dizzy or post kezia. Yes the threads will be a comedy highlight reading back.

The kids haven't had their tea so quick in their lives. Before theyd finished their starter, out came the mains and before they'd finished that, out came the desserts! Every thing done early so can relax now.

DH will be watching Formula 1 highlights in the living room and I'll be watching OG in the children's playroom. Its a fairly big TV so I'm happy to watch on that.

orph if I was to have any more than 1 glass I'll be no good for the school run tomorrow. Have a lovely night.

Yes rhu my DVD is ready too. Imagine if BA was watching along with us. Agree about Downton I loved it up until Sybil died but kind of lost interest after that. Funny how theyve got Downton on the same time too as the watch-a-long.

icemistOBE · 20/09/2015 19:18

I'm gonna be unsociable and watch it on my tablet with headphones on.

I can join in then quicker on my phone

Do you think there will be a strange dip in viewing figures for Downton for the next five weeks that no one at ITV will be able to understand? Ha ha ha!

Rhubarb01 · 20/09/2015 19:29

Just informed DH I am commandeering the bedroom for an hour. He was a little outraged as he uses it to hang out in most of the time - which means to escape from the kids. However, I informed him it was essential that I was not disturbed and he's got no choice. It's good to take command sometimes!

KellyHb · 20/09/2015 19:29

I tell you what-we'll be smashing the trending thing on MN. Oh yes, I think we will be trending. Smile

MaddieMoo82 · 20/09/2015 19:32

Ahhh DSs witching hour has just begun! Commencing every shhh-pat, rocking, swinging etc technique I can find to get him to sleep.... Sad

MaddieMoo82 · 20/09/2015 19:33

Amazing update jen may have snuck in the loo during screaming to read it....

icemistOBE · 20/09/2015 19:35

I've set Downton and the programme on BBC to record. I'm sure I'll watch them during the week.

ilove it was me who used to work (quite closely) with Lady C many moons ago when she was plain old Fiona Aitken. She was always very well connected, and I just knew she would marry well though didn't suspect it would be that well! She was actually quite fun but very posh, and beyond after work or lunchtime drinks (it was the late 80s!) I didn't really socialise with her.

Sorry to hear your sad news this week, rhu and ilove. Life really is tragic too often.

I won't be able to join for the watch along tonight but I have been to Bath today to drop off dd to start at the uni. I listened to the soundtrack all the way home, and have watched a sneaky episode 2 while waiting for the rest of the family to return from the RWC game ta Wembley. I will definitely be with you in spirit!! If I knew how long they would take to be home I'd try and watch 5 as well but can't risk my guilty secret being found out!

KellyHb · 20/09/2015 19:46

Thinking of you Maddie. I'm clueless at how to get babies to sleep I'm afraid. I had the opposite problem. Mine loved sleep too much.

Richtea19 · 20/09/2015 20:11

jen brilliant new chapter, I had to sneak to the loo for piece and quiet!

MIL has done her normal turn up and the roast dinner has been miraculously divided up. Looking touch and go for the watch along.... If I can't watch I will be with you in spirit (or prosecco!)

moojangles · 20/09/2015 20:20

Hoping I stay awake long enough tonight. Need someone to drink prosecco for me, and lots of it please.
Arrived at petrol station at same time as lots of uniforms & not a low slung combat in sight.

icemistOBE · 20/09/2015 20:21

KellyHb · 20/09/2015 20:24

Ah hoping you can join us rich. MIL's eh?

Hoping you can stay awake mooj. Get some food to eat, sometimes I have to eat to stay awake. Confused

Onlygirljen · 20/09/2015 20:27

Thanks maddie and rich. Not long to go!! DH has taken off to meet his mates and can't work out why I'm being so accommodating - I nearly shooed him out the door! One child asleep, one to go! See you all at 9!

moojangles · 20/09/2015 20:28

genius kelly
MrMooj has passed out, yay so I get peace and quiet-sent him to the pub to watch rugby this afternoon, he has no idea why! Dog had a massive walk too so he's crashed... need to find provisions

KellyHb · 20/09/2015 20:37

mooj Ive gone a bit too full on with the snacks-indigestion guaranteed. Prosecco, popcorn, nuts and maltesers. Not all to eat tonight of course but to last over the 5 weeks.

Nickel45 · 20/09/2015 20:41

Phew, kids in bed but not asleep .... Fingers crossed. Got a big bag of chocolate buttons .... Quick grab on the way out the corner shop, best stay of the good stuff till the kids are asleep. 20 min to go, I really should not be this excited!
