Oooh no that's Chris robshaw... This is James Blush

MaddieMoo82 · 18/09/2015 21:36

Easy to confuse them... Smile both big and muscly

KellyHb · 18/09/2015 21:43

I got my names mixed up. It's definitely Chris Robshaw I liked. Smile

I'm not keen on that James Gaskell. I think he's going out with that Chloe Madeley and I can't stand her.

MaddieMoo82 · 18/09/2015 21:46

What about..... Danny care? Nice tan lines Smile
Can you tell I have a thing for rugby players Blush

MaddieMoo82 · 18/09/2015 21:47

That's Richard and judys daughter isn't it? Naaaa don't like her much either. Every time I look in a magazine she is posing in her pants with a 6 pack!

KellyHb · 18/09/2015 21:50

Back in the day maddie when I used to have a bit of interest in the sport I used to love Kieran Bracken.

MaddieMoo82 · 18/09/2015 21:52

I was in love with Jonny wilkinson for a long time....

KellyHb · 18/09/2015 21:56

Yes, Jonny is a nice one. I'm sure Asda were selling Rugby tops today too.

pixieg1rl · 18/09/2015 22:27

I was a Rob Andrew fan

KellyHb · 18/09/2015 22:37

Ah yes Rob Andrew. He opened a unit in our local hospital years ago.

Rhubarb01 · 18/09/2015 23:16

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Maddie and Kelly your two-hander discussion of the finer points of rugby players past and present reminds me of those two ladies in the Minstrels Ad describing the merits of Le Grand Bulge again.

Many moons ago DH and I had some close encounters with the South African Rugby Team during the World Cup at a cinema in Edinburgh - strange but true! They sat in the row in front of us and got a bit raucous now and then. Big lads all of them especially the one who stepped over me to get to his seat. The next day they beat England. However, I'm not and wasn't then a Rugby fan.

Ilovelblue · 18/09/2015 23:18

Sorry to hear your sad news Rhubarb. It does indeed concentrate your mind when somebody of a similar age to yourself dies.

I had a relatively similar experience last week when a colleague of mine, who I had been joking with when he was hobbling around with a bad back and we put it down to old age, was rushed into hospital when he lost the use of his legs. He was transferred to a hospital with a centre of excellence in neurology and a tumour on his spine was diagnosed. I do know his Mum and have rung her a couple of times to find out how he is. He is currently undergoing radiotherapy. He's not yet 50 - I felt so sad - whether he comes back to work is as yet unknown.

I opened a bottle of wine tonight and one of the cats knocked the glass over (what a waste) and then I dozed off again in front of the TV. I'd better not nod off on Sunday night! I was supposed to be checking on car insurance prices... no wonder I fell asleep!

Richtea19 · 18/09/2015 23:33

So sorry to hear of your sad news rhu. Sending hugs to you Flowers.

Completely missed out on all rugby related stuff, but I'm sure that Inwill be inflicted by it over the coming weeks!

Radio 2 concert was fab. Spitfire and Hurricane fly pass was very emotional. rhu I do think of Another Time another Place whenever I think of that era.

Off to Aldershot, Hampshire tomorrow with DS road race relay finals. Massive long journey for what will take him minutes to run!

Ilovelblue · 19/09/2015 00:05

*Richtea: pretty good place for soldier spotting is Aldershot. We have an office in the area.

So glad you enjoyed the concert.

pixieg1rl · 19/09/2015 07:07

You could go to the RAMC museum in Aldershot rich

KellyHb · 19/09/2015 08:49

Morning all.

Sorry to hear about your work colleague ilove. Its awful going through chemo/radio at any age but especially when they're fairly young and on the spine too. Is it one of the two men in the photo I saw who you work with?

Glad you had a nice time at the concert rich. I get emotional seeing those planes too especially when joined by the Lancaster. Going to Aldershot is somewhere I wouldn't mind too one day. Wink

pix it was my turn to have a poor nights sleep due to darling children. DD had a cold yesterday and it went into her chest overnight so she's wheezy. Inhalers at the ready.

Oh there's a drama on bbc1 tomorrow night at 9 called The Go Between. Its being recorded as its the same time as the watch-a-long but there could be QS potential dare I say.

icemistOBE · 19/09/2015 09:01

Morning

Feeling more human after having a long sleep.

Am looking forward to watch-along tomorrow night. I did watch ep 1 and 2 whilst flying. Was so good to see them again

Kelly from my occasional trips to Aldershot and Farnborough, the town centres weren't very inspiring. I do recall seeing lots of signs for different barracks but I had to be in work mode so no chance for a detour. The town (village?) of Sandhurst was similarly disappointing.

The chap with a tumour is somebody different to the ones you saw on the photo.

Off for a day out with my cousin now.

KellyHb · 19/09/2015 12:08

Welcome back ice. I bet your DS's were so pleased to see you. Lovely pics too. Especially the first one where he's looking so coy. Love that scene. Did you see the pics of TG with MK the other day?

That's disappointing ilove. I was hoping in those places, you wouldn't be able to move for hot tottie in their combats. Have a nice day with your cousin.

DH has taken twins to a birthday party. Boys are dressed as Spiderman and Antman. They look funny walking down the road with their costumes on. With DD not bring well, I thought I'd stay with her and it saves me running and blocking all exits of the party so the boys don't run out

Ilovelblue · 19/09/2015 20:07

Seems to have been a quiet day on here.

Had a nice day with my cousin but was tired on the drive home, probably because I'd called in at an out of town outlet shopping place. Just bought a new nightie.

Kelly I did The Go Between for A level Literature. Do I want to see it again? Hmmmm not sure.

KellyHb · 19/09/2015 20:56

It is quiet on here today ilove I bet it won't be tomorrow somehow. Smile

I bought some snacks for tomorrow night. I'd bought a bottle of prosecco the other day too. I'll only have the one glass as that stuff is really strong with me. Confused

I've never heard of the story ilove. The tv guide for next week gives it 5 stars but I'll record it anyway and give it a watch through the week.

pixieg1rl · 19/09/2015 21:19

Been out for dinner with my brother and kids, my oldest nephew off to his second year at Uni tomorrow. Looking forward to tomorrow night, not least to get a break from the non stop rugby. Although happy to watch Leigh Halfpenny for a few hours Wink

Nickel45 · 19/09/2015 21:20

Hello all. Been a completely manic couple of days for me.

Bit belated but sending hugs rhubarb, so sorry to hear about your friend xx

Welcome back ice, I think you might just need to post some pics of gorgeous mounties, even though you didn't find any ... there must be some somewhere?!

pix thank you for the tip about updating my ipad. I'm such a technophobe that I have never upgraded the operating system, since I first got my ipad, as I liked it as it was. Also it meant deleting OG off the videos bit so I had enough room .. but have discovered it is still there and I can re-download it (I know, completely useless at all this!!). But given that half the games no longer worked on the current version, and even BBC iplayer didn't work any more, thought I'd bite the bullet! So, I did! I couldn't work out how to get version 9 but upgraded to the one it said in settings. And it is all fine!!! Now feeling a bit of a numpty that it took me so long (mind, I do prefer how it looked before, but I'm sure I'll get used to it!)

Nickel45 · 19/09/2015 21:20

PS. Cherin is joining us tomorrow :) :) :)

KellyHb · 19/09/2015 21:35
