At least Jazz-hands-Andrea is on her way out. I'd be grateful if she would take a coach-load with her.

Every time I see her I think of Aveline in the series "Bread"!

I only watched Bread with the original Avaline so I don't have that problem!

I could never stand Bread, I didn't even know she'd been in it, Brassed Off and Playing the Field are the things I've seen her in.

He was a lad in Sarahs school baileyb2, he died sometime later and then his mum kidnapped Bethany and tried to jump off the church roof with her, epic fail, silly cow is a pain in the arse, dreadful actress and her mother is no better, can you tell I can't stand them

Andrea overacting eating the chocolate gave me full on rage.

Cathy just shows what a difference casting a really good actress makes. It was the same with Roy's mum

What is being done to Kirk? I know he isn't meant to be Brain of Britain, but that scene with him answering his phone, the phone that he had come in to get Lloyd to search the lost property box for, just had me gritting my teeth!

That double act between Steve and Craig Charles is gettin on my nerves now all that pouting and flouncing its unrealistic

Max is run over. Leg streaming with blood, he is carried by Nick to the Medical Centre. Later, he returns home sporting a large bandage on his knee. He then told to 'go upstairs and lie down'. No-one goes up with him, no-one offers him a drink or any kind of comfort. Is that the way anyone would treat a child who has had a frightening experience, let alone his close family members?

See stuart blackburn is going thought it would be around the lives- I might be able to start watching corrie again now.
New producer is from emmerdale hopefully she starts with a big cull

Just read on Digital Spy that Stuart Blackburn's reign at Corrie is coming to a close, and Kate Oates, current producer of Emmerdale is to take over. Good news for Corrie, in my opinion, although Blackburn will probably manage to pack in many more dud storylines before he moves on.

i agree about kirk, playing a really gaumless character.the scene the week when tracy was arrested and kirk kept going about it being about a pizza, its not funny its cringy.the writers are trying to make out hes got the intelligence of a 12 year old, im sure he wasnt this stupid in previous years

I wonder if the Kirk thing is another Friends rip off: it's the kind of comically stupid thing that Joey would have done ( although not with a mobile phone as they were probably too big to lose back then ).

Yes, that pizza thing was stupid. The phone story was completely idiotic.
I see they made a mistake about Roy's birthday too. He was 60 last year, but was going to be 60 again this year, for the live episode...

Someone mentioned Max's birthday upthread. It was 5th September. Perhaps there will be better continuity with the new producer. What has happened to Roy and Cathy's allotments?

I think there will be better continuity with her. I'm looking forward to seeing it improve, when she takes over, fingers crossed.

Yes, why aren't they filming at the allotments? Because the current Roy/Cathy storyline feels rushed, and long chats whilst gardening would be the more natural pace.

It seems the new team won't be in until the New Year. Redtops are saying they promise a bloodbath of characters that don't work. So can we get rid of Andy and all the boy racers, Erica, Tracey, Sinead, Faye, Izzy, Maria for starters.

(I'd keep Dev, because he's got an interesting back story, and was much better on screen when dealing with Maya. Can that be reawakened?)

Actor who plays Steve Macdonald has gone on sick leave. I hope he recovers soon, but his silver lining is that he'll miss any association with what promises to be some ghastly weeks ahead.

I watched the Road to Coronation Street last night about Tony Warren's arduous journey to get the pilot approved. I notice he is still a script advisor and would love to know his feelings about the current writing because it is so far removed from his original idea.
