About a month to go before it starts, and they've released the name of the first celeb.

Georgia May Foote (I think I've heard the name, but couldn't pick her out of a line up - and I started off so well with the men!).

Apparently she was in Corrie as Chesney's girlfriend.

JV sounds good - apparently he's a Superfan, and used to play drums at school so maybe won't dance like a loosely joined pile of coat hangers as first appearances might suggest. I'd love to see his brother doing it as well - pity about the tour.

AH I hope will stay just the right side of eye gougingly awful wackiness, he seems like he's got enough potential talent that he'll be able to rely on that rather than cringy "comedy" routines.

I'm not familiar with the soap actors but then I hardly ever am - the last one I recognised was Patsy Palmer.

I can already see Ainsley in that crab/lobster outfit that they had Scott Mills in last year.

Dancing with the Stars had a really good Disney week. I don't know why ours are so rubbish - I'd rather they didn't theme at all! And DwtS show proper training footage.

I like Helen George. I'm surprised that she is not currently filming CtM though, given that it's broadcast in February (?).

I was wondering whether any of the Downton cast might sign up, given that the final series wrapped a fortnight ago.

Not as yet. Peter Andre was leaked accidentally...page removed now but if you google pa + strictly you can see the bbc page headline. Think Katie Derham was leaked too hence no official reveal now until tomorrow breakfast.

Yawn at Carol Kirkwood. BBC breakfast did a ridiculous unveiling ceremony this morning, featuring Bill thingy in a top hat and some enthusiastic youthful dance prodigies. It was toe curling. I couldn't wait for them to get back to READING THE REAL NEWS.

I haven't seen any of the reveals but wish they'd just announce them all at once. Am bored by it all before it's started.

Carol Kirkwood is nice but not exciting. She's got a great figure

Tbh it's always the ones that I don't know about who end up being the ones I root for like Abi Clancy and that lady from Corrie whose name I've forgotten already. As much as I thought Caroline Flack deserved to win last year I was a bit 'meh' about her and wasn't really rooting for anyone last year - except Tristan but he ended up with Mrs Brown's daughter/wife just coz they're both Irish :/
