The thing is that Wee Daniel is a showman - he's been waving his hips at Irish Mammies for 30 years. He's comfortable in front of an audience.

I mean, he's not a dancer but if he has any rhythm at all he might last a few weeks just on sheer professionalism.

The launch show was quite something. Quite the glitter and cheese fest. Loved Craig as a conductor, but then I love him anyway esp on ITT where you see how he would be when not playing the panto baddy as he does on the show.

Claudia was v good as always. Pleased that Natalie is back.

There is indeed a Mrs O'Donnell. She gave an interview saying that KR seemed like a lovely girl who was part of a happy relationship and she was delighted to see her dancing with Wee Daniel. She seems to be intelligent enough to realise that no woman who is shagging the gorgeous (though morally bankrupt) Ben Cohen is going to look twice at Wee Daniel except to insofar as is professionally necessary to correct his posture.

Ben was the year before last. They denied that anything whatsoever was going on for ages and BC did some fairly sick-making interviews about what a devoted family man he was and then they finally admitted it in a blaze of messy tabloid publicity a couple of months ago. Mrs Cohen was Not Amused all over Twitter. Mrs Cohen's mother was Not Amused all over the tabloids. BC threatened to sue. Total clusterfuck all round.

Joe apparently got jealous of Kristina dancing with other men (although I can see why if she had a thing for Ben) which caused them to split. And she also apparently had an affair with Vincent. Or so the tabloid rags say.

Yes this I why, whilst I think she's a great dancer, I'm glad Kristina got someone whose marriage she's unlikely to want to wreck! Yes- I blame the men too before anyone questions that!

Mrs O'Donnell is called Majella and he's her 2nd husband. I think she was about 40 when she married him which is why they don't have kids. She has kids from before, though.

Anyway, she's just recently beaten cancer and has been just the most inspiring and kick-ass woman ever (shaved her head on live TV, wrote a really frank book about her battles with depression etc). She has an amazing personality and I have a massive girlcrush on her.

She's so awesome that even if Kristina was single he wouldn't look at her twice!

It's on tomorrow at 9. That seems late - not very family friendly.

Does anyone know who will be dancing on Friday and Saturday? I think it's usually male celebs one day and female celebs the other day.

I think they mixed them up last year, the choice of who danced which day was fairly random.

I think it's a bit of a waste making them do the jive in the first programme: I think it's more enjoyable to watch when they've got more experience.

Thanks Inimitable. I agree that it would be better to wait for the jive. They do seem to be putting Peter Andre at the centre of things on the promo side, as though he's their biggest star. I cannot wait until he is voted off. My belief that the public usually sees through such artifice as runs through is bones will be sorely tested if he goes far in the competition. I had forgotten that I met him at an airport 18 years ago when he was at the height of his fame. Even then I didn't really get his appeal and went over to get his autograph for my friend's sister as my friend was too shy. He was sweet and gave the autograph and a peck on the cheek. I was surprised to see this caused quite a stir when I got back to work and told my female colleagues.
