Hooray! Let's hope that this series is better than the last.
Oh look it's Arya Stark! And more Missy!
And PC's hair is madder than ever!
(And I've found the box of exclamation marks!!!!!)
Let's see Tardis

I want to see the row that sent him to the otters!

Idontseeanytimelords · 11/08/2015 07:35

I'm still reserving judgement on Missy until they give her something to do other than rant & rave - Michelle Gomez is a brilliant actress but all she seemed to do on the last series was prance around pulling faces in between yelling at the Doctor.

YouMakeMyDreams · 11/08/2015 07:50

I'm getting married on the 19th!! Didn't plan that very well did I HmmGrin

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 11/08/2015 09:46

Yonic Yes, I realised afterwards

VagelinaJolie · 11/08/2015 11:09

Dreams-ive been to weddings where all the footie fans traipsed off to watch an important match-this is just as more important!

Has anyone watched the fan reaction things on YouTube? One popped up a while back on my FB feed of The Day Of the Doctor at the end where PC makes his first official appearance. It's so funny - the best one actually warns you to turn the sound down before he comes onto the screen Grin

YouMakeMyDreams · 11/08/2015 22:07

Oooh now I never thought of that, meal should be ending when it starts I could get them to put it on in the bar and me and my family will troop off to watch it and dp's family will all be looking with a cats bum mouth. Grin

fancyanotherfez · 12/08/2015 19:18

There was a doctor who themed marrying mum and dad on on Tuesday if you get to see it on catch up. They really went to town!

Idontseeanytimelords · 12/08/2015 20:00

VagelinaJolie · 12/08/2015 21:50

You can all love me forever now.

YouMakeMyDreams · 12/08/2015 22:55

I don't do you have a link to the shoes? I don't have shoes yet. Well I have converse for thr day because the little chapel is well in s field of trees so went for comfort before style but want some dancing shoes for nighttime.

Idontseeanytimelords · 13/08/2015 07:57

www.etsy.com/uk/search?q=doctor who shoes&ref=market

Just browse down, they're mostly flats & converse style but there are a few pairs of heeled shoes (I love the weeping angels pair!)

Idontseeanytimelords · 13/08/2015 07:58

Is there actually a way of not cocking up links on the app?

YouMakeMyDreams · 13/08/2015 11:25

Ooh thanks I am off for a browse.
I gave up on the app a long time ago just use the mobile site now.

I love PC but hate the stories (except Time Heist, that was brilliant).

MUCH prefer the OLD DW (and Livia, I too LOVE colin Baker!)

Too much Political Correctness brigading in the rebooted one, the old ones were perfect without the usual clichés that the new ones have:

a female master- NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
a female Brig.
the obligatory lesbian shenanigans.
the gay references and shenanigans. (the old DW was camp at times (Martin Clunes Im looking at you!)without being cpmpletely gay.

Disclaimer- Im not anti gay, jujst theres too much going on in DW.

The snogging (happily not too much any more with PC).
the companion getting more airtime and story than the Doctor.

The blatant digs at some religions. (especially Christianity, Russel T ewas the worst offender).

the complete aresness of changing the look of the cybermen. the 70's and 80's ones were best. new ones not scary at all.

Moffats got too big for his boots and I really think -dons hard hat- as much Whovian as I am it should take a LOOOOONGGG break so people can come up with GOOD stories.

Tardis.

and agree, the Sarah Jane kids would be good. especially Clyde.

YonicScrewdriver · 14/08/2015 18:18

Jenny and Madame Whatsit from the paternoster gang were in love. What other homosexual relationships were there? Captain Jack was bi, his original interest was Rose (was his DW interest in DW at all or just in Torchwood? Anyway, the screen time was something like a ".you too, huh?" to Martha.)

YonicScrewdriver · 14/08/2015 18:21

And why shouldn't the head of UNIT be female in the 21st century? After all, Stella Rimington was head of MI5, a fairly close equivalent.

fancyanotherfez · 14/08/2015 20:40

Yes seems a bit odd to object to a female head of unit. I've seen a lot of the old Who and Gemma Redgrave and Michelle Gomez can act both the guy playing the Brig and the hammy Roger Delgado Master off any stage. Surely that is the antithesis of political correctness? Hiring the best talent regardless of gender?

I think Captain Jack was pan sexual!

You'd love the Doctor Who Marrying Mum and Dad.vLesbian wedding as Jenny and Madame Vastra

Idontseeanytimelords · 15/08/2015 08:42

Well...
I'm fairly certain that Silurians don't identify as male or female for a start!
A female incarnation of the Master is the ultimate disguise - in still not sure about Missy because all she did was grub and act a overly psychotic, give Michelle Gomez a proper decent script and it'll won't be a problem Smile
(Although no one can beat Anthony Ainley's Master).
Jack just loves everyone Grin
It's perfect for the Brig's daughter to take over as head of UNIT - that's not being PC it's just keeping the show up to date with reality - women do have top jobs now you know!
I do think they went overboard on the romance especially during DT's stint but I suppose it's what people expect from TV shows these days. It was good to hear that PC didn't want all of that.

Idontseeanytimelords · 15/08/2015 08:43

All she did was gurn, not grub.

YonicScrewdriver · 03/09/2015 10:55
