And PC's hair is madder than ever!

Thanks Giraffe!

I missed a shed. Was there a shed? When was there a shed?

The place he was hanging out while waiting for important Gallifreyans to come talk to him (and then there was a firing squad) I thought that was from when Matt Smith and David Tennant met the War Doctor.

So if that's the "shed", what's the barn?

Or did someone say shed and someone else say barn and they've been put onto the list as two things?

I called it a barn but that's the place I meant

-Four Knocks - Preceding death
-Song on radio: Song sung during Mummy On The Orient Express
-Shed: From the Anniversary special
-Diner: Lake Silencio (with mentions of Amy and Rory)
-Run you Clever Boy: What Clara used to say
-Reference to the woman in the shop being Missy
-Steal a tardis, the episode where Clara went into the vortex and got split up

I thought the four knocks was a Master reference too, was expecting Missy to be outside the Tardis

Guitar also plays Clara's theme and the Dr who theme.

Hmm, I'm not sure about that as a season finale. . .I thought the shed from the Anniversary special was the barn from Listen. I thought it was where the Doctor grew up and assumed that the woman who gave him soup was his mum/person who raised him?

I quite liked that they finally explained the woman in the shop was Missy. I thought that was going to be one of those loose ends that never gets answered.

The Doctor and Clara were the hybrid because their relationship made the Doctor risk the fabric of time itself. I guess they were also a hybrid because as the Impossible Girl Clara went into the Doctor's timeline? Meh, my head actually hurts and I don't know if it's this cold I have or if that was just too much thinking for me Grin

I think they're the same place but I'm not entirely sure why the magic-time-war-ending-box would have been in the Doctor's barn. . . I feel a bit cheated out of a Gallifrey episode and am desperately hoping we don't see Ashildir/Me again.

NeedAScarf yy I know what you mean about a mid-season finale. It seems odd it ended with Clara and Me zooming about space in another Tardis. Is that just going to be another loose end that's never tied up? Maybe they'll bump into Jenny! I can just see them all sitting in some space bar like the Mos Eisley Cantina, swopping stories about the Doctor whilst Captain Jack hits on them Grin

specialsubject · 05/12/2015 22:59

actually quite enjoyed that one although it was glacially slow at the start. But still getting crucial lines mumbled, one each for Capaldi and Coleman. Argh!

like the old school TARDIS, and the return of the sonic.

there's no way the doctor will be reminded of Clara from that awful painting, though - looks nothing like her!

Gruach · 05/12/2015 23:27

That was a pretty impressive resolution of the "cheating death" theme. The hybrid thing, not so much.

(Loved the way SM took Rory's 2,000 years and laughed them into oblivion.)

Pleased my instincts or storytelling logic or something proved vaguely reliable. I knew there was a reason I didn't feel anything when Clara faced the Raven. It's a shame they couldn't find a way to squash Ashildr, she seemed totally extraneous to requirements in this episode. But, setting aside any other commitments, no one's actually said there won't be a spin off series have they?

This series, especially the final two episodes, has been worth the wait.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 06/12/2015 04:27

I really like Ashildr. I'm assuming she will turn up again.

I quite liked that they finally explained the woman in the shop was Missy. I thought that was going to be one of those loose ends that never gets answered

Which shop ? When?
