I'm sure there was a young Dirty Den in the photo. Sharon's bio dad knew Den didn't he so I think they are setting that up. Agree with pp that this could also be why they are changing Dennys head, he'll be acting with his grandad instead of shipped off to friends all the time.

What is the point in Ronnie being a mum if she is going to blow off taking her son out to track down Kathy with Phil! Made me laugh when she said what sort of mother does that when talking about Kathy, and she had just ditched her son for this! Ok not on the same scale of what Kathy has done but Gavin has clearly done a number on her. She really semmed to believe his bullshit about protecting them etc.

Gavin said to Ronnie that she looked like her dad - there has never been mention of the Mitchels knowing dirty den & co in the past has there?

I love that photo - it's hilarious! Grin They could at least have made each of the photos similarly blurry if they expected us to believe it was real...

So, Den, Vincent's dad... who are the other 3? Presumably one of them is Gavin, maybe one is supposed to be a young Archie Mitchell? Why is the guy on the right so smiley when everyone else is looking menacing? Was Phil's dad ever in EE or did the Mitchells appear as Peggy & her boys? I could be persuaded to believe that the middle guy was Phil's dad, #4 could be Archie & Mr Smiley could be Gavin. Maybe the photo was taken just after Den agreed to adopt his daughter & he thought all his troubles were over?! All the others could be looking grumpy because they're sick of clearing up his messes.

I don't think I've ever heard of a link between the Mitchells & the Watts clan before. I was under the impression that the Mitchells moved to the area without knowing anyone & set about sleeping with forging links with half the square until they were related to everyone.

its so silly all this ' what happened in the past' and having links with the mitchells. it was always the fowlers and the beales in the beginning.
the mitchells didn't come into it till very early 90s I believe.

The guy third from the left looks like Barry Evans to me but I think it's Phil's dad. I love how Vincent's dad is just plonked at the back. The picture looks like those Victorian photographs of posing dead people. Just odd.

Paul McCartney = Archie
Paul Nicholas on the end, from when he Was Vince in Just Good Friends

I don't remember Phil's dad knowing Den, but London is such a tiny village it's obvious all the wrong'uns would know each other.

That was sooooo disappointing. I've been looking forward to Kaffy coming back for ages, but everyone seemed to forget how to act, except Trace.
The photo was awful. Would all those men ^ not be vastly different ages
Archie Mitchell was in his 70's when Stacey topped him
Sharon is about my age (46) so Den would be 20-30 years older
Charlie Cotton was old (Nick was 50 not long before he died) when he died
Also Phil is mid 50's possibly older so his Dad would have been a fair bit older than Archie and presumably Gavin is about 50 too
Well overinvested I know but that episode got on my nerves in so many ways. Not even going to talk about Ronnie

Agree Gingercat, it was a bit meh. No tension, it was obvious she was going back to the square. I don't like EE when they go off the square. It all seems a bit more ridiculous in real life settings.

i'm sure this has been mentioned before-but why hasn't lauren come forward before and state her dads innocence. She knows who the real killer is. I know she could be keeping quiet because of peter, but I thought she was in a good place with her dad before she left? Doesn't make sense. It will annoy me if she returns and she isn't wracked with guilt for not coming through sooner

I don't think it is Archie after all. I looked at the Digital Spy forum last night & they were pretty convinced it was Ted, Kathy's brother. I didn't even know she had a brother but I've looked at photos & it's got to be the same guy. I guess that retrospectively explains how she met Gavin. I still suspect that the short guy is a Mitchell - either Phil's dad or apparently there was another Mitchell brother, Clive. If one of the Mitchells had something to do with Vincent's dad's death then it would explain why Claudette is after them, but not why she's waited so long!
