Series 2... filming starts Jan 2016

Well that was the boys last day at private nursery. I bought the staff a thank you card and a box of biscuits but they looked like they couldn't care less. Onto round 15 of trying to potty train next week. Apparently nursery definitely won't take kids who arent.

Glad you had a nice week for weather always. It's been raining all week where we live. Endless amounts of DVDs watched.

I should really go to the gym tonight but I think I'm going to be persuaded to have a Chinese takeaway instead

I've had a lovely day with all my DSs partaking in a spot of lunch then getting the barbers visit out of the way for the holidays. So there are some benefits in having older little bleeders who you can actually talk to and who no longer need crayons in a restaurant. My eldest DS of course used his charm on the waitresses for extra helpings of ice cream for his little brother so it did make me chuckle. They decided that they felt like my Carer being out with their old Mum, checking I had my napkin and a drink etc, little devils

I need to rant and whilst Kelly mentioned a thank you card, it has made me remember something from earlier today. I did the leaving card for our senior manager on funkypigeon.com with a photo of my own of Lake Windermere. I mentioned it on Tuesday? It came today at work as specified so I opened it and was very pleased with the quality and the wording I'd chosen. I took it to his deputy who kept flicking between the front and the inside and generally looked less than impressed. In the end I had to say "is it ok?" and he sarcastically pointed out that on the front I had put "We are very sorry to see you go...." and inside I had put "We are sorry.........". I was so mad that I said "Tough sh*t, if you don't like it, you will have to buy one of your own".

My colleague suggested that we made the two deputy managers sign it first and start the collection off. The one who made sarcastic comments about the card is known to be careful with his money so if he is starting the collection going, we hope he will put in paper money so as not to look mean!

On the basis of glueing a pirate ship together in the last hour I can tell I'm not going to encourage air fix models

Poor you ilove, good on you for swearing at him. If it's so bloody important to him then he should sort it.

We've had the paints out today. Left them alone for 5 mins while I had a coffee and came back to kitchen and they had been hand painting which meant it was everywhere. Apparently it was L's (2 yo) idea

ice we still get "it wasn't me or it my brother". Nothing changes as they get older!

woof reading your post reminded me that little DS hasn't had his hair cut yet! The older one goes off in his own but small fry wants me to go with him still!

My meal for 2 for 10.00 from M&S (but have to buy two of them) is in the oven, which means I have two bottles of wine to consume, goodie!

Currently being subjected to cricket on tv-no idea what's going on or what they are talking about but they do the odd bottom close up!!!!
ilove well done for speaking up. My real life OG friend has got a job elsewhere & I demanded to do department leaving pressie for her for similar reasons as the one that was sorted for last colleague that left was embarassingly dismal. Well done for doing so many, it is such a thankless task when organising but your hard work will be appreciated.

Ditto Rich but of course whilst I'm taking youngest DS to barbers the elder two "tag along" and get a free lunch plus a paid for haircut...they ain't daft!! But it was lovely to spend time all together for once and they do get on well...most of the time

DS conked out nice and early so I'm watching Eastenders for the first time in years. I don't have a clue who half the people are and Molly's just off to shag Martin Fowler in the shower. Pauline would not approve

Theres an interesting programme on about Prince Philip on Ch 4 at 9 and trying to mould him into being a Queens husband. I like random Channel 4 docs. My Mams friends brother used to be a Royal Protection Officer in the nineties. I met him once (he was so interesting to listen to) and he said it was well known that PP was a bit of a naughty boy when he wasnt long married.

Well that documentary was interesting. Not quite CJ, but PP was very good looking when he was younger.

Thanks everyone for the nice words about the card. It probably seems so trivial but he's the kind of guy who (a) would never buy a card but would get his wife to do it and (b) wouldn't normally read the words anyway. I will go in tomorrow to see if the pair of them have signed the blinking thing and how much money they've put in. I will report back. I can't attribute telling him off to the empowerment of OG - I would have done this anyway - but you could easily imagine Molly saying the same!

Been out after work tonight to our local Italian. Intended doing a pile of ironing when I got back but ended up putting the fire on and then dozing off. It's really cold tonight. At 9 pm when I returned, it was only 10 degrees. Brrrrrr.

Yep just watched the double episode ending of Strike Back Rich aah that's the last one ever unfortunately. Agreed it was very slow to start with and disappointingly we only got to ogle Scott's bum once but I have to say those two in their combats all sweaty and in charge is very easy on the eye, I shall miss SB indeed

I've persuaded DH to take the kids to his Mams for a couple of days, week after next. Result!! I'll probably help him take them all down and then get a train back from Peterborough to Newcastle. I'll be coming back to a lovely empty house. Can't wait. DH isn't too happy but tough titties.

I'm very jealous Kelly I wish MrP would take the boy away for a few days.

This will be a rarity believe me. This is my only chance of any kind of holiday this year. Get the train back with me and we'll see if we can spot a CJ lookalike.

Yes!! I could find my army man and rectify the error of my ways and investigate the low slung combats properly. I've got a couple of days free. A thorough investigation requires a lot of time.

Our comprehensive OG knowledge would stand us in good stead of gaining entry to any "army personnel only" areas.
