Dull day again here. Hubby gone off to Liverpool to visit a cruise ship for work. think I'll get the arts and craft stuff out for boys, they are colouring at the moment.

You know it's desperate when the craft stuff comes out (or it is in our house)

Rhubarb01 · 28/07/2015 10:39

rich job starts next week after my holiday. If my new boss is reading this she will know who I am! We will be dropping code words into the conversation to test each other. Wouldn't it be funny if someone used familiar expressions but in an entirely innocent way - what confusion that could lead to. They would definitely put me down as a total weirdo. Shortest job in history. However, I once worked somewhere where a new employee hated the job so much they didn't return after lunch. It was the same job I was doing - admittedly not a great job but I could at least congratulate myself on having some staying power - or stupidity!

I had a little chuckle whilst watching the new Partners in Crime on Sunday with David Walliams and the ex-midwife. (who was it who read the stories and was horrified at him playing the part?). When the MI5-like boss told them that if anyone used the expression "200 not out" it meant they were OK. How on earth do you drop that into conversation? A few 'wait-outs' are definitely easier.

Dizzydots · 28/07/2015 10:49

Grey and chilly here too. I'm feeling the loss of summer - come back to me! Very quiet in the house, teens still under the duvet. I'm just trying to distract myself from housework.

KellyHb · 28/07/2015 11:31

It's chucking it down here. Did something a bit different this morning. After dropping boys off at nursery, went to Asda to buy school cardigans for Lauren but they were none in her size. Typical. Got to order online. But decided to get a fried breakfast. Was lovely but they gave me 5 sausages as I didn't want tomato. I felt like Mansfield with his 50 sausage challenge! Needless to say they weren't all eaten. Confused

What did people think of Life In Squares who saw it? I thought it was quite tame really. Don't even think I saw 6 sex scenes in it?? Unless with all the QS FF I've read everything else is tame in comparison. Grin

Richtea19 · 28/07/2015 12:32

kelly i watched it and didn't think much of it. With all the build up perhaps u was expecting something a bit more racy! Next week with RPJ might be more appealing.

Off to work, boys only just surfaced from bed!

pixieg1rl · 28/07/2015 12:56

I thought Life in Squares was a bit dull. My friend who is a Bloomsbury Set nut couldn't understand what the hell was going on, so there was little hope for me who was only watching for the smut anyway

pixieg1rl · 28/07/2015 12:57

What age are your boys richtea? I'm asking cause I want to know when I'm next likely to get a lie in any later than 7am.

Dizzydots · 28/07/2015 13:14

One of mine only surfaced at midday pix, much older but rest assured your turn will come. Didn't think much of Life in Squares, wouldn't recommend it will still be on QS alert and watching next week though

KellyHb · 28/07/2015 13:24

Yip think I'll still be watching next weeks. Even though I only saw a soupson of RPJ last night, he still looked tasty with his brush in his hand. Smile

pixieg1rl · 28/07/2015 13:29

He'd look much better with a bush in his hand Wink

cjwoofwoof · 28/07/2015 13:47

Hello fellow cockwombles, I'm back in the room!! RL being a pest as per, plus AT was having a crisis of confidence over his latest AChristie role so required a great deal of massaging of body parts ego to soldier on with the 1930s monocle and spats. We're getting there, extremely slowly, but I for one am enjoying being his crutch, or at least spending as much time in that vicinity as possible Grin

moojangles · 28/07/2015 14:00

And she's back, yay!
Trying to find ways of my brain, channel hopping & saw Hugh FW getting into s bath...too much flesh

KellyHb · 28/07/2015 14:01

Grin pix

Hi woof glad to have you back. Are you going to help AT lumber up for Poldark S2 as well? Make sure that his upper body strength is in tip top condition for all thst scything? Smile

pixieg1rl · 28/07/2015 14:04

Woof! Thank goodness. I can now stand down the team of specialist lawyers we had prepared in case your disappearance was in connection with the import of your back catalogue from the Ukraine.

Good to hear your unique skills are still in demand in the personal coaching field. These actors are such a fragile bunch aren't they, always on need of a bit of pumping up from an old hand

moojangles · 28/07/2015 14:05

Bleaching my brain, what's left of it

pixieg1rl · 28/07/2015 14:21

More bleach, mooj?

Thanks for the welcome back, one and all, it's good to get away from AT for a few minutes tbh, he can be very demanding in the pilchard tasting and pasty smashing department when he's feeling a bit vulnerable, and even I need a break for a quick wagon wheel and mug of hot bovril to keep my strength up sometimes.

Rest assured pix there's no need for lawyers on standby at the moment, as orph has discreetly taken all back-copies of Oops There Goes the PMs Trousers Part IV in the back of her Cortina Estate to Biffa's Dordogne landfill waste site for prompt disposal. At least that's what she was supposed to be doing whilst posing as a middle-aged-tankini-clad-yet-still-chubby-but-not-caring British tourist this last week Grin

pixieg1rl · 28/07/2015 14:23

Sorry, I really didn't mean to post that twice. The app said that it failed to post when it obviously didn't.

pixieg1rl · 28/07/2015 14:26

That explains the blockade of the channel ports then woof

cjwoofwoof · 28/07/2015 14:26

Ooh thanks for sharing those pics pix . AT eat your heart out - if ever he refuses to do Poldark S2 HFW is an ideal replacement...and no need for a wig either, double-bonus

moojangles · 28/07/2015 14:28

Nooooooooooooooooo!

cjwoofwoof · 28/07/2015 14:30

That's not a blockade pix that's orphs queue of transport for all the back-copies ready for disposal. Shes across the channel directing the lorries to the landfill site as they pull in at Dover as we speak

cjwoofwoof · 28/07/2015 14:34

Methinks you protesteth too much mooj and harbour a secret fantasy for HFW to appear in the new series of OG as the sexy combat-panted CO who has Sugartits gagging for a taste of his homegrown organic plums
