DH is sitting sorting screws so have put the Life in Squares on to record not sure if I can cope with his what are you watching this for comments!!

Rich DH has now seen stain - discussion was about turning the carpet around so most of it will be under the bed!! Owned up and was met with why did you have that stuff out again??!! So might have got away with not needing the rug!!

Very late tonight as a friend came round for tea. We have an arrangement: I sell stuff she wants rid of (usually clothes) on eBay and make her tea and in return, she does any sewing alterations I need as I HATE sewing. We had Mary Berry's sausage casserole and a sponge pudding made with jostaberries out of my garden (they're a bit like blackcurrants).

I switched Life in Squares on but it only had 5 mins to run. I have recorded it - do we reckon it's worth it or not?

It has tipped it down virtually all day today and the same is forecast for tomorrow.

Jen good luck back at work tomorrow.

Kelly how is your Mum doing?

Thanks for asking ilove. She's finishes her treatment a week tomorrow. She's really ill at the moment. Although she's not losing weight, she's finding it difficult to eat or drink and is barely speaking with her throat feeling so tight and shes so exhausted. Doctors say they're pleased with her progress. I find with my parents, the treatment was worse than the cancer but my Dads still here 5 years on so swings and roundabouts I suppose.

I can't believe I've been at my job nearly 6 months. We have some students helping out and I'm training one of them!! No longer the newbie.

DS came back from his DoE weekend with a cut finger (opening a bag of pasta with a penknife! Decided against A&E and went down the savlon with iodine and steri strips!
