Nickel is very much real and alive - I can vouch for that pixie. I hope if you meet that you did better than when I met her as we ate in Pret a Manger. Not a single glass of prosecco in sight!

Just seen a clip of the end of the Tour de France in Paris. The Eiffel Tower was half covered in mist. I'll be in Paris three weeks today so hope to goodness the weather picks up a bit. Mind you, the weather in Lyon for the first few days looks hotter. A couple of weeks ago it was 38 C and I was starting to panic that it would be too hot but the current forecast is around 28 C which is bearable, yet still almost twice the temperature it has been here today!

We did a few long drives over the course of our hols, longest being 5 hours. Definitely take the iPad pre loaded with films / TV progs - it saved us. I think you should do west coast of Scotland, then you can drop in on me!

If you do the west coast of Scotland and happen to do the M6 through Lancashire en route, you could drop in on me too!

Well pix you must be in demand on here today because thinking about where you live, you're not far from where my MIL lives. She lives in Northamptonshire but she's not far from the A14 I think. She lives near Higham Ferrers.

I highly recommend movies on iPads for long journeys. We went to Devon a couple of years ago and it took us about 6 hrs. I kept saying we could of flown somewhere hotter! Having said that you can't beat our countryside of the weather is good.

I've just seen Mr Potato Head C Tatam in Magic Mike 2. It was so funny. I did think of us, as one scene was a group of middle age (sorry for you young folk) women cooing over the male strippers. All I could think of was our naked wrestling! I wasn't struck with Mr Potato Head but one of the other actors was rather lovely, I will google him. He was in True Blood.

Oh yeah rich think he's called Joe Montelligliano (or some such surname) but he's def called Joe. My friend wanted to see that but I wasn't fussed. I don't know its just I've never been keen on strippers.

I've always thought it was quite dark in the bunker kiss scene and I could never see it clearly. ice have you got any clearer pics of it?

Lovely headsets ice. It's finally stopped raining here ilove, yesterday we thought autumn had arrived, bit windy today but holding out for sunshine later :) It's a very big yes from me richtea, very nice indeed. I'm just around the corner from Higham kelly, I was late to the party so probably missed it but don't really have much idea where everyone is. Cornwall bound at the weekend, our journey has brightened up a little since fab new services opened on M5, Gloucester services I think they're called, worth a stop off, MIL lives in Truro so it's a regular 6hr trip.

Chelveston my MIL lives dizzy Its such a small world isn't it?

Morning. Dizzy we happened to stop at the same services on the M5 last week and have to agree with you. They are Westmoreland the same as the ones at Tebay in Northumberland. Lovely farmshop there - definitely an improvement on most service areas. Go there rather than Michaelwood Services which are about 15 miles further south!
