I think the French team are collectively stronger- although it seems an odd decision to leave Gasquet out of the opening matches, when he had such a good Wimbledon. GB are in the semi finals for the first time since 1981.

Woo hoo, I got tickets to the Davis cup semis today! Rubbish seats though as my session kept timing out just as I got to the payment screen and I had to start again. Can't wait!

Murray has drawn Kyrgios in the first round of the US open. For once (and once only) I am hoping for a Murray win. He can lose in the second round
