Hacker sidekick was so stupidly naive but I did feel sorry for him.
Red hair working with the Russians makes sense. Saul looked suitably surprised at explosion. Red hair less so.

Anyone ever wondered about Dar's bizarre name and what this means?

Dar is a very common Arabic word translating to "house of" or "home of"depending on content. I've never actually heard it used as a person's name, only as a business name, but I'm not a native Arabic speaker and maybe it's the Arabic equivalent of the English name "Summer"?

Saw on another forum his name being translated as Dar Al-'Adl -The Just One or House of Justice.

Allison answered the phone in Russian, according to the subtitles. She also gave the guy some cigarettes which was probably the bomb.

I reckon Saul knows Allison is a Russian double agent, hence the relationship. The nonsense about sending her back to the US was to make her think they had no idea, but she was never going to go. Saull is hoping for some interesting pillow talk.

Saul knew Quinn wouldn't kill Carrie and put her name in the box to flush her out as he was looking for her, but couldn't find her. Also maybe to get Carrie and Quinn to work together. Or maybe Allison put the name in the box knowing Saull's weakness when it came to Carrie and she has something else up her sleeve.

Is it just me or anyone else not care less about the American journalist's struggles to get her hands on the information? She's boring, one dimensional and er, boring. I hope she gets killed soon. I do, however, care about the hacker whose stupid friend and girlfriend were killed. Good actor.

Yup, it was Hair but working for the Russians (as per subtitles). Reflects real life too as Russians want Assad to stay in power.

I quite agree about the American journo lady. She just seems like a PITA going around getting everyone's backs up.

I reckon she was going for the mad woman / homeless look.

There was something about that wig (although it obviouslynwasntbred) that Made me think of Run Lola Run. That was in Berlin too I seem to recall.

Though, saying that I'm not sure the producers of Homeland quite do subtle homage.
