Grin woof

pixieg1rl · 06/07/2015 17:08

Yes, I can imagine that it was difficult to escape the 1970s unscathed woof.

cjwoofwoof · 06/07/2015 17:25

Nothing that a course of antibiotics couldn't purge pix

pixieg1rl · 06/07/2015 17:27

Lord bless Alexander Flemming Wink

orphan · 06/07/2015 17:32

Put it this way pixie genital swab is a phrase woof is only too familiar with. She was responsible for the entire USSR male gymnastics squad pulling out of the Commonwealth games if only they'd pulled out far earlier, or rather not even put in.

cjwoofwoof · 06/07/2015 18:01

Those were the kind of tactics employed during the Cold War years orph and I was more than happy to lay back and think of England

Welcome back, btw, did the clinic finally discharge you?

cjwoofwoof · 06/07/2015 18:07

Although your memory is slightly fuzzy orph just like most parts of your anatomy because dear USSR is not part of our Majesty's Commonwealth. It was in fact at the start of my career in Tokyo '68 that bad news spread through the Russian team so to speak

orphan · 06/07/2015 18:19

Of course you're correct woof. My brain is a little addled due to the treatment I was forced to endure at the clinic. I still claim it wasn't necessary to admit me. I am not addicted to alka seltzer rocket launches and Rupert's injuries were not in any way connected.

cjwoofwoof · 06/07/2015 18:24

What, even though he was limp?

cjwoofwoof · 06/07/2015 18:53

I heard that once Rupert had launched that rocket there was no way you were coming back down to earth anytime soon orph so the clinic had to nip it in the bud as they say

Ilovelblue · 06/07/2015 19:48

Back home now and work again tomorrow.

Felt quite flattered whilst we were out on our walk this morning. It's my absolute favourite walk in the Lakes and around 6 miles round Elterwater and Skelwith Force. There's a particularly steep bit and it was hot but I got to the top and had noticed at least twice on the way up that my friend had paused for breath but I just kept going. When she arrived at the top totally out of breath, she said "God you must be fit, you just stormed ahead!" I never think of myself as being especially fit as apart from a cycle ride at weekends and a quick walk at lunchtime here and there at work, the only other exercise I do is gardening and it's not as if I'm digging compost heaps every day. I work with a load of guys who are either into running marathons, fell running or cycling so usually feel pretty useless compared with the rest of them!

icemistOBE · 06/07/2015 20:05

Looks like you had a great time ilove

Evening ladies! Well I met up with RL whaj today for lunch plus prosecco and cocktails, brilliant afternoon spent giggling an awful lot! Smile.

Possibly not as much fun as being shot into space by Rupert's alka seltzer rocket (orphan can confirm), but a close second nevertheless. Grin

Ilovelblue · 06/07/2015 20:15

Isn't it fun (but strange) meeting up with somebody from this thread Jen? Nickel and I felt the same a couple of weeks ago! Good for you!!

Did CJ feature in your conversations or did you concentrate on the prosecco and cocktails? Do you live far from each other?

Nickel45 · 06/07/2015 20:25

Sounds like you had a brill time ilove.

Ditto to meeting up, it was fab ilove, hope you and whaj had fun too jen ... Looks like your lunch involved more wine than ours (both driving ... have to work on that next time!). Not seen whaj in here for a while. Say hi to her .

My RL is just a tad hectic at the mo (bit of an understatement!!!), but I've been dipping in and out and you guys are keeping me sane! You lot are brilliant!

moojangles · 06/07/2015 20:40

Sounds like regional AGMs a plenty. Still trying to fathom the exact method with alka seltzer

KellyHb · 06/07/2015 20:42

I think that must be so nice after a year or so like all you guys talking virtually to each other and then meeting in RL. Smile

I think there's a programme on tonight on BBC1 at 10.30-one of those Imagine documentaries. I think it's about a man who lives on a ranch in SA. I'm gonna give it a watch and pretend I'm in SA with CJ!

How's your sulk orph?

Onlygirljen · 06/07/2015 20:43

So much fun! Feels funny to talk out loud about stuff you usually write about though..! We had a great laugh, as you can guess a lot of CJ chat!

Hope hectic RL calms down a bit soon and we get you back nickel Smile

orphan · 06/07/2015 20:56

Mmm, prosecco and cocktails - now that's the kind of lunch date I like jen! Did the conversation veer into QS territory?

My sulk is still going strong kelly. I just can't warm to TangoTits not that I've tried too hard . However, I can highly recommend alka seltzer rocket launches for alleviating the sulkdom, if only temporarily. The excitement of Rupert counting down '10,9,8,7...' and then the blast off, really is uplifting quite literally.

Ilovelblue · 06/07/2015 21:14

Jen that night when I spoke on the phone to greenstuff, it was the first time I had actually said out loud all the things we talk about on here re CJ. I could hear my voice and thought "This just seems so odd!" When I talked to Nickel face to face, it was also very odd, especially as we were in Pret a Manger in Bicester surrounded by hordes of rich oriental ladies who wouldn't have a clue who or what we were talking about. I am sure had CJ walked in though, they would have thought of him as quintessentially English and would have clamoured to have their photo taken with him.

Does anyone have any suggested updates for our Collective Handbook? Have we granted any awards recently I've forgotten about?

Ilovelblue · 06/07/2015 21:14

Hang in there Nickel!!

orphan · 06/07/2015 21:37

ilove I think I bestowed upon woof a much esteemed literary award the LOL - Laureate of Lewdness (or something like that) because her smut really is sheer poetry... I can't erase from my memory her in depth account of having the honour tattooed on her ample arse cheeks.

KellyHb · 06/07/2015 22:21

My sulk still majorly appears every day orph when I see MK in the Daily Mail shopping or prancing about to perfection. Can't believe she's gonna be so lucky as to (potentially) star opposite BA. Envy

Random question I'll put out there. Does anyone think BA has actually sat and properly watched OG all the way through? He's probably seen snippets and that but it makes you wonder if actors actually watch anything they're in? Hmm

Ilovelblue · 06/07/2015 22:28

I'm not really very well up on actors/actresses and their foibles but from the few bits we've seen of BA being interviewed, he doesn't strike me as being especially narcissistic. When he was being interviewed before OG aired last autumn, he did seem quite shy. He didn't say too much on the Radio One interview either (though that could have been down to the rubbish questions Scott Mills posed). I think he had come round a bit by the time the Radio Solent interview was on. Did you listen to any of those - the Solent one was by far the best.

KellyHb · 06/07/2015 22:56

Yes ilove listened to them all. That Radio 1 interview was such a waste I thought.. I wasn't keen on Scott Mills to start with. Scott Mills assistant bloke kept interrupting BA when he was trying to talk sometimes. But I do love BA's well spoken voice. You can't really tell he's from Devon.

Would you laugh if I told you I had to look up the word narcissistic?! Grin I hope he has seen it just to see even what a great piece of drama it was.
