With Miley gone, never to be heard of for the next 15 years until she turns up with a new head, at least Emily won't have to babysit her every day and night for the foreseeable future.

New thread where we can hope the scriptwriters wake up and actually start paying attention to plot lines and character histories.

I have read they have just casted an on screen father and sister for his character.

Strange these relatives never attended any weddings or funerals over the years.

Does this topic allow spoilers ... as I have read how they are being brought into it but don't want to get i. troubleWink

AnguaResurgam · 21/07/2015 07:19

Could you link, rather than post, the spoilers?

Then people can read them or not, according to their preference. If you want to post spoilers actually on thread, then think about ask MNHQ to add a warning to the thread title.

southeastdweller · 21/07/2015 07:32

I agree that posting link's rather than posting the spoiler's is the way to go on this thread.

Sarah Harding's first episode is on Thursday. We also get the next dose of Callum and Bethany then.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 21/07/2015 15:46

Links are the best idea.

Unless the spoiler is that they have finally found a decent scriptwriter. Then feel free to post directly on the thread.

The hair on Tracey's new ex husband is bloody awful and so distracting. He must have gone to Paul McCartney's colourist.

eddiemairswife · 21/07/2015 18:03

Is Tracy's ex played by the same actor who played him originally? If so he must have noticed that Tracy is (literally) not the same woman he married.

Oh, if only... Grin

I agree. It's nearly a character all by itself Grin. Looks really weird.

TheLastPickleInTheJar · 21/07/2015 18:56

Paddy McGuiness is joining the cast isn't he? Or did i dream that? Could he be mechanic material?

Mairyhinge · 22/07/2015 14:11

Does anyone else thing the way fizz speaks to people is really condescending? It's all false care, and soppy talk. Ugh. Hate that character now.
Bout time they did a massive cull. Boring characters and boring storylines.

MitzyLeFrouf · 22/07/2015 14:39

Oh yes. She speaks to Roy as though he's a 3 year old.

eddiemairswife · 22/07/2015 15:45

Are Hope and Ruby still in the taxi?

theliverpoolone · 22/07/2015 17:34

Well, I said on here a couple of weeks ago that there was something I hoped wouldn't happen - and have just had a browse through Digital Spy and discovered that yes, unfortunately it's definitely going to happen! These storylines are so repetitive and predictable (yawn). On the plus side, I also read an interview with Sally Dynevor where she was saying how much she enjoys working with Joe Duttine, so hopefully they'll take note and not let boring Kevin come between them......

Clawdy · 22/07/2015 20:00

Tonight's episode seemed very unsuitable for pre-watershed viewing - the violence aimed at Leanne, the silly but unpleasant scene where Liz was hitting Tony, and Simon hissing "Dirty prostitute!" at Leanne. Not good before eight o clock.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 22/07/2015 21:29

Leanne should send Simon to live with Ken. Or to a boarding acting school (which has no holidays).

OP posts:
AgathaChristie01 · 23/07/2015 10:54

It was suggested on Digital Spy that Si should go to live with Zeedan and they could scowl at the world together. Grin

Jo4040 · 23/07/2015 10:56

Oooo I couldn't agree more!

Wishful80sMontage · 23/07/2015 11:12

I'm warming to Zeedan it's just his grandparents that need to go...immediately.
Leanne is saving the Simon scenes ATM so I'm not hating those scenes as much as everyone else last nights reaction was odd I was expecting that to show an emotional response in Simon and then he's realise all the pain Leanne had been through in her life and start to change but it's set to carry on then.
Still no mention of baby miley then have they done a single scene where it's be discussed between Tim and Sally?! The follow up on these storylinea is appalling.
I don't watch any other soaps but I did catch some of hollyoaks the other day and it gripped me more (even though I don't know who any if them are!) than corrie lately

swimmerforlife · 23/07/2015 11:52

I'm quite enjoying this storyline with Simon and Leanne, even if Simon is a bit of a brat, it will be very interesting to see where it leads too. Jane Danson is a bloody good actress, her scenes were heartbreaking.

Ooh I really like Tracy's new husband, about time she had someone as a good influence on her and I wonder how long this 'turning over new leaf' will last Grin

differentnameforthis · 23/07/2015 13:01

I can't watch Hollyoaks...all the girls/women in it are so heavily made up, they can't move their faces!

And don't get me started on the hair!!

ProfYaffle · 23/07/2015 13:43

I agree about Zeedan, he's beginning to develop a bit more.

I also thought the same about Simon, especially after he was so upset when he was downstairs and Leanne was still upstairs in the flat with Dan. I thought that would be his epiphany. But apparently not

ProfYaffle · 23/07/2015 13:46

The other thought I had was that Zeedan would be the one to eventually talk sense into Simon. Simon seems to look up to him and Zeedan made that comment about showing Leanne some respect. He's a good combination of being young and cool enough but with moral fibre and family values.

Jo4040 · 23/07/2015 13:50

Talking about made up girls...Sarah Harding makes her incredibly anticipated appearance tonight. It's been all over LK today. From what she was saying tho 'I'd love to come back' , hopefully we won't need to ensure her for too long

augustusglupe · 23/07/2015 17:12

Has the actor who plays Simon Barlow decided to go for blank facial expressions as an acting (or not) technique as opposed to running into the arms of the nearest person and burying his head, so as not to take the 'acting' any further. I think the little girl who plays Amy is brilliant, with acting skills to rival Dame Judy compared to Simon.
I mean it's getting so bad, someone must have noticed!! Couldn't they have let him go off with Peter for a little 'holiday' Hmm

augustusglupe · 23/07/2015 17:20

I would've bought him his bloody trainers in 'Hot pink' just to hopefully provoke some other reactionGrin
