Quiet in work so I've been making up my 2016 CJ calendar from my photos.

OMG definitely daren't look at this vices thread on my work PC. Might have to look at it on my own phone. On a conference call shortly so it will give me something to take my mind off the usual boring rubbish talked about.

It was a surprise coming in to work today to find I have had a payrise! With redundancies etc, I don't think anyone actually expected a payrise. Now desperately trying to work out what to spend the extra £2 a month on! (Joke, though it's a pretty small payrise. Still, better than last year when we didn't get one at all).

I've been given a whole bunch of new (rather serious from a risk & compliance POV) duties at work. No pay rise though. In the public sector it's very much a culture of 'be thankful you have a job'.

Ditto for my dp pixie. No pay rise now for 3 plus years I think, just constant reorganisation and blooming hot desking.

pixie it's the same for us. More sort of "this is a challenge, let's see how you do and we'll think about it but not very hard".

A while ago, we had a bunch of people TUPEd into us from Royal Mail. In their previous existence, any extra role/duties etc they took on meant they got extra money. Doesn't happen now they are part of our company though!
