I really don't see how TG could put CJ with new medic - I can't see anyway he could do it without destroying his character completely. Maybe I just lack the imagination to figure out how he could do it, but I struggle with that.

It's late 2016 it's due to air isn't it? Going to be a loooong speculation -filled year...

Ah but jen it's a well known fact that all medical personnel are irresistible according to Carry On films anyway

Thanks Jen I also agree that it would be foolish to have CJ lusting after another medic. His character would lose credibility if he was a serial shagger! Anyway, wasn't there some criticism about S1 that there was a love interest in it at all. Let's give TG some credit, he wouldn't waste everyone's time writing something so clichéd would he? Let someone else fancy the new medic.

I think CJ will have a different role and love interest will be someone else. I don't think TG would have CJ with someone else.

Yep, CJ is not a serial shagger or a perv with a medic fixation. Let's hope his blisters don't give him too much trouble though cos if I was the new medic I'd be treating him in my tent on a regular basis.

Right now a lot is going to depend on who he can sign up as cast. I trust ice's intelligence source so I'm hopeful S2 will have a part for BA.

I think there's plenty of other themes about the role of the contemporary army and challenges for women serving in it for TG to explore. I hope he's been given free rein over the story, it needn't be a romance. I hope he's feel some responsibility to his 'young' (cough) female fan base and will write something empowering for them, but that's the humourless feminist side of me talking.

Yes Pixie without getting too serious, CJ nearly lost his life and career from lack of judgement, don't think he would go there again. Anyway, possible role could be in the music corps wearing platforms and a rubettes hat!

Why do younthink that it will be about a medic again?

Heels99 MK will be playing the part of a medic according to the write up in the press.

Oh onefor you have now brought back memories of 'It 'aint half hot mum' with CJ playing a Windsor Davies type role in charge of a concert party and possibly Dangleberries as a kind of Mr La di dah Graham on the piano. Don't ask me who will be Gloria but there could be a role for you in this woof

On a sad note one Saturday some years ago I happened upon Don Estelle (Lofty) singing in our local shopping centre promoting a CD he had made. Just him with a mic and amp and accompanied presumably by his wife. He was singing in a really lovely voice as people wandered past going to Tescos etc. It was really sad to see him doing that when I think what a huge star he was back in the seventies. He died two or three years ago.

Agree with Jen that CJ would lose character credibility if he went after another medic and it would be like a slap in the face for the people who love this couple and supported them (I've got to remember not real life!). I read somewhere this morning that the series would be full of surprises so hope they're good ones!

I just hope he keeps them together and CJ keeps referring to her every so often and has a couple of scenes for him and Molly at the end. I hope TG realises this for all of us! My friend this morning says no chance of that happening but I couldn't stand all this otherwise - do others think he might do a couple of scenes for LT??

kelly I'd be surprised if LT was involved, even in a cameo.

I'm content enough just to see BA and 2 section included in the plan. There's no way TG will be able to please everybody, we just have to trust that he'll come up with something that engages us, and that MK can lay off the fake tan and hair and eyelash extensions for long enough to convince us she's a serving soldier. As i said previously, I'm not fussy - give me CJ in low slung combats and I'm a happy viewer

Kelly TG has said LT wanted to stay with EE.... but maybe he could surprise us all and have a very small scene with CJ/LT at the end after the credits?

I am 100% trusting our special agent ices reassurances, TGs storytelling and CJs loyalty - feeling calm in my nut, can't wait to hear more and hoping for lots of BA exposure publicity

MK clearly wants to be taken seriously as an actor and move away from soap. She must have had other offers but has chosen something as far removed as she can get from her glamorous image. As CJ and MD would say you can't help who you fall in love with - even a reality TV star! I expect TG is quite pleased that it will at least give OG a higher profile and more media interest (The Radio Times even referred to OG as being critically acclaimed!) plenty of people will be eager to see how MK handles the role and some wanting to see her mess it up - that's a bit daunting for her. Plus she'll probably be joining actors who were in the last series and she'll realise that most of the fans love CJ and desperately wanted MD back. Not easy really!

That's what I'm hoping Kezia. I know LT isn't coming back but I'm just hoping for some small scene.

Morning! Now I'm hungover sober the sulk has returned, and it's probably a deeper one than orph too. Can't have her outdoing me in the misery stakes.

I just can't see S2 being a continuation of the original story. That was Molly's life now it'll be a different take from Sugartits' perspective. Totally gutted if 2 Section and CJ do not reappear but that's my suspicion. Having said that, I'm trying very hard not to fret too much as its a long time til the end of 2016 and hopefully ice will come up with some Intel soon once she's slept with a producer got the confidential OG dossier from the BBC drama dept

I think TG is a talented and experienced writer. He got us all tied up in knots in the series esp between chaps 4 and 5 wondering where it could all go to..

I hope he'll do the same this time.

CJ was leaving the army at the end of the last series. Perhaps he'll be an aid worker this time around?

If CJ was an aid worker and Molly was in the army, do you think they would've been allowed to work together in Africa or wherever the crisis was?

I trust TG completely on this. The timeline is going to have to be +2years after series 1 finished, so all sorts of things could have happened our favourite couple. And he did say way back that OG could still exist but with a different girl and cast.

Course I'm gutted that Molly won't be in it but, you know I'm not that bothered as long as CJ is as our extremely talented FF writers have covered fantastically well CJ and Molly as a couple after series 1. So whilst it would be lovely to have them on-screen together I don't actually need to see it.

The thing is if CJ is not in the army it would seem unlikely that he would be in a story with the rest of 2 section. It might be stretching the imagination/coincidences to have them meeting up in the same place abroad again. I reckon he re-thought the leaving the army when he recovered and TG knows we can't bear the thought of not seeing the old low slungs and headset again.
