I didn't dream of CJ last night but I did wake up thinking about him and series 2.

Morning all - have a great trip ilove, hopefully the wifi won't be an issue.

Think the news has settled in with me a bit, looking forward to seeing what they come up with. Also highly pleased about the fact that we can all watch a new series together can you imagine the excitement?!

At least TG wasn't full of empty promises when he promised record tweets, think it's fair to say he has us all talking!

I do wonder what SPO is making of this, I can imagine if the position were reversed and they announced that BA wasn't coming back / a new CJ figure, we'd all be up in arms.

Morning! And crikey, what news I wake up to!! ice you truly are our Head of Intel and super sleuth. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been to keep it secret. How on earth did you know - is TG captive in your bunker?!

Posted too soon too flustered. Don't know MK, but idle googling, just on very first impression and snap judgement, I'm not so keen. LT had a very natural, not too glam look to her which I prefer. Obvs, I'm mega disappointed CJ and MD won't be featured, but as long as they keep them together in any references and BA is back, I can cope, I think.

orphan it was very hard not to say anything at all. Its going to be a long wait till its broadcast next year, I'm sure we'll cope if we stick together.

I never really watched Corrie so can't comment on her acting in that but I did like the episode she was the main character on Ordinary Lies.

I guess we'll hear in next couple weeks about rest of cast.

I will be devastated and furious though if CJ is in any way romantically involved with this new medic. I can't imagine TG would do that though, surely? Actually, any romance ocurring within the same section would be a bit of a repeat, so perhaps it won't go in that direction at all.

Now, I'm starting to feel a bit angry cos according to one report, LT can't do it cos of EastEnders obligations. Blooming soap only cos I don't watch it

spo I hope you're handling it OK, or are you at this moment, cutting out individual letters from newspapers to write your ransom demand protest? Can I suggest you remove your rigger gloves, it would make it a lot easier?

As it's working in refugee camp, I wonder if CJ would be an aid worker? Least then we might still get some low slung combats- I'm ok with them not being camouflage

orphan I think if LT had wanted to do it eastenders would have let her, they've done so for other actors and actresses. She has been fairly vocal about how gruelling she found the whole thing, I think it was perhaps her choice not to return. Fair play to her, but I'm glad they're trying another route with it rather than nothing at all.

Totally agree that they can't have anything romantic happen with CJ - I'm sure TG knows that. Can't say I was overly keen on MK as an actress in corrie, but she comes across as a lovely person in RL. Hopefully she will bring something to the role but I won't notice cos I'll be too busy perving on CJ

Morning all, I'm feeling less she'll shocked this morning and really just happy that OG will be back on our screens. With regards to MK, yes she is very glam but I just can't imagine TG would have her with fake tan, eyelashes and make up when she's on tour. If BA is in it .... I hope that LT would play a cameo roll or perhaps have a reference made to her as being in a relationship with BA. They might be drafting in another super duper hunk????? (Obs not has handsome as BA) but maybe he will have MK as love interest and BA is there as shoulder to cry on!

OK, jen I won't storm the EE HQ and pelt them with woof's surplus pilchards then. But, flipping heck, couldn't she find the time just to film a steamy kiss/sex scene for a flashback? That wouldn't be gruelling!

CJ has to be in low slung combats. Surely that's written into his contract?

Assuming the BBC will have to make the formal announcement at some point soon that it's been recommissioned now that the news is out, we will hopefully get more casting news then? Waiting out for a year will be interesting, although we will perhaps get tidbits from filming to keep us going!

Do we choose the venue for the MN party for the first episode yet?!

Morning all - the day after the night before! The new MK character is apparently a Corporal so we're talking about someone a little more experienced than MD at the start of OG1. I think this is going to be more about the challenges and conflicts of handling the refugee situation and no doubt some awkward politics which don't sit easily with the characters on a personal level - another do the job and don't get personally involved sort of situation. It's difficult to imagine anything 'romantic' in that kind of scenario. I think MK will be fine once she's glammed down a bit - no make-up, sweaty looking, wispy hair and all that. Just hope she's not all angry, conflicted and glaring - which is my main impression from Corrie. I expect before OG1 most of thought of LT as being a shouty EE type but we liked what we saw of her in OG, so I'm sure (fingers crossed) MK will surprise us too.

Morning all. Yes Rich that's what I'm hoping. Knowing all the love for the couple, I really hope TG has a cameo for a couple of scenes for Molly and BA if he's still in it. I feel robbed of a proper kissing scene et al as the one in the bunker was well blurry for me. In the meantime if I carry on watching EE, I would have to see her snogging bloomin Martin Fowler!! The whole situation was one of the first things I thought of this morning. Not really sunk in yet. Does anyone think that TG might write a special scene for our couple of BAs still in it?? A cameo scene would be my last hope. God I sound like Princess Leia

Perhaps we should demand a kissing scene be filmed for Comic Relief or Children in Need or something and lobby for it! Unfortunately, as we pointed out before - no one watched OG did they?

Yes, I imagine MK will be stripped of the eyelashes etc, but she's still more stereotypically glamour model attractive than LT- taller, big boobs, very slim etc. jealous I'll never ever look like that in a bikini I'm very fond of LT's chipmunk cheeks! I'm probably still just in denial mode though.

Hopefully if enough people ask TG for a kissing scene between them, he might oblige. Yes you would think LT would have time to film a couple of scenes esp for the fans knowing the great response they had!

orph and jen, I wondered what spo was making of this, too. spo, how about popping back in and letting us know .... Please say you'll come back when the series is actually on? Oh. And any chance of a new zombie story yet, I'm missing the SZS!! :)

Morning all. Good news on series 2 but gutted LT won't be in it . To me she is Our Girl won't be the same without MD/CJ connection, if CJ is in series 2 surely TG wouldn't write a romance with him and a new medic?

Heehee dizzy yep, let's start the campaign for series 3, to be shot solely in the bedroom and shower with only two characters: CJ and MD. Saves costs of course so should appeal to the BBC.

Thanks orph spand kezia. Does anyone see the image of BA at home in Devon today with it being Father's Day and thinking whether to do this series or not? I think the answer is - yes!

I had a thought LT might not be in the OG world any more when she didn't turn up to that reunion last month in London. I thought she may just been filming but I guess maybe she thought if she's not seeing them again, why bother? Sorry I sound jaded. Massive lack of sleep overnight!

Yes orph and maybe BBC could even stretch to kitchen worktop, dining room table, red room under stairs - well that would be 5 episodes wrapped up, so to speak! Perhaps us lot could direct it , cheaper still. Feeling quite excited now, just need to get series 2 out of the way...

Hmm, dizzy you may be right. I think the budget might extend to some outside location filming as well. A good rootle through the bushes on the way to the potting shed perhaps? But, each episode needs to finish back in the shower cos they'll def have worked up quite a sweat.
