Looking forward to a great few weeks of tennis!! Should we be asking MNHQ for some balls!!

So who is going to do well this year? Stan has tough first round match against Kyrios......and Nadal is playing Dolgo I think?

Apologies for the woo hoo apparently I need to spend more time with grown ups Smile

Raahh · 18/06/2015 14:40

majestic not at all. But he is by far my least favourite player.

JuanPotatoTwo · 18/06/2015 14:41

Look away for a sec Murray fans - last year, I saw Stepanek put Murray out here. It was brilliant, but I honestly think I was one of about four people in the whole place cheering Radek. Must be v difficult for players when the crowd is very biased.

Raahh · 18/06/2015 14:47

Juan- I might have been cheering from home. But then, I've always rated Radek- he's a great doubles player.

I have to get DD from school Angry

And the dog is asleep on my feet.

GrouchyKiwi · 18/06/2015 14:52

Verdasco really playing with intent now.

Trying to decide whether to worry about my DH. We had a bad night with the baby so he didn't get much sleep, and he has to cycle 40 minutes to work. Left him a message at work 4 hours ago to call me but he hasn't. No reply to email or text either. I'm a bit given to paranoia, though, especially when I've not had enough sleep.

JuanPotatoTwo · 18/06/2015 14:55

I'm sure he's fine grouchy - someone would have contacted you by now if there was bad news.

GrouchyKiwi · 18/06/2015 14:57

I'm sure you're right, Juan. :)

Good job, Andy.

GrouchyKiwi · 18/06/2015 14:59

I'm sure it's a coincidence but the baby, who is 10 months, just said something that sounded very much like Andy. (She's now complaining and biting the coffee table after banging her head.)

magimedi · 18/06/2015 14:59

GO ANDY!!!

MN giving you all trouble for being mean to Murray!!

Muller did well, but it was so boring to watch. I sometimes think the second serve should be dropped. Far less of the boring big serve matches if they only had one try!

JuanPotatoTwo · 18/06/2015 15:01

Hey muddled. Hope you've been sending positive vibes to poor Pot :)

JuanPotatoTwo · 18/06/2015 15:04

I think matches would be over too quickly without a second serve. Sometimes three setters seem to be over before they've begun. That's not to say that I think having 2 serves improves the quality of a match though

JuanPotatoTwo · 18/06/2015 15:06

There seems to be quite a bit of crowd support for Verdasco.

Morgan · 18/06/2015 15:09

DD still off sick - hurrah ! Can watch tennis .

Can't believe I've timed my holiday wrong this year with the new Wimbledon schedule and have the last week of term in the first week and then off on hols for second week . Will remedy that next year .

MajesticWhine · 18/06/2015 15:10

I think one serve would be an interesting rule change. Not sure how it would work with the ordinary players thought. I think Wimbledon slowed down the courts or slowed the balls a while ago, to address all all the big serving which was getting boring. There are much better rallies at Wimbledon these days.

GrouchyKiwi · 18/06/2015 15:12

I love the big rallies.

Both players looking a bit tired right now.

MajesticWhine · 18/06/2015 15:26

I didn't really get that - when the umpire said first serve but andy murray conceded the point. Did anyone follow?

GrouchyKiwi · 18/06/2015 15:29

I was out of the room, alas.

GrouchyKiwi · 18/06/2015 15:46

I've never quite understood why they have lets. That unsettled Verdasco.

Raahh · 18/06/2015 15:47

well I arrived home to see Verdasco blow it. Which is a shame.

So- Isner and Feliciano next. I do need to decide what to feed people.

it is so much easier to feed the dog.

GrouchyKiwi · 18/06/2015 15:49

I'm trying to decide what kind of takeaway we're having tonight. Far too tired to cook.

BagelwithButter · 18/06/2015 15:53

I hate deciding what to eat. Don't mind cooking but run out of ideas.

Luckily, had leftover tuna pasta bake y'day for DD who loves it. Tonight BBQ so DH in charge and I can carry on watching.

magimedi · 18/06/2015 15:56

Bagel - I'm so with you there. Get so fed up of deciding what to cook. DH does cook, quite a bit, but if I ask him for ideas he either says salad or cottage pie!

WELL DONE ANDY!!!

Pesky - I do wonder if Pot will ever get back to the game. So sad.

MajesticWhine · 18/06/2015 15:57

It's tiresome always thinking of what to have. I am thinking of a mushroom / asparagus type thing with rice. Or maybe veggie burgers.

Raahh · 18/06/2015 15:59

Bagel deciding what to cook is definitely an absolute chore.

John Isner is 2ft 2 inches taller than me. Grin Shock

magimedi · 18/06/2015 15:59

When we were both working & DS was at school I had a crafty 10 day menus that I'd rotate for a a while. They never noticed, as it was never "Monday = stew". It's a good one to go for if you are i/c the cooking.
