Ben did look remarkably smug for someone who was being questioned about a murder he didn't commit.

Also I don't get that witness. He claims to have seen Ben and Max with Lucy. Yes they both saw Lucy that day but on separate occasions. Ben was with Jay. Max is tall, bold/ginger, in his forties and tall - nothing like Jay. I just had to roll my eyes at that point.

But tbf what evidence apart from this "witness" do the police have? CCTV footage? DNA evidence? The witness is getting some help with his immigration issues in exchange for his testimony. I'm not a lawyer or a policewoman but they really don't have much reason to arrest him, unless they plan on arresting everyone Lucy saw that day.

I think the police are probably arresting them, as I assume but may be wrong, because they have never admitted to them they saw Lucy that day before

You'd have thought the postmortem would've been able to tell that she was attacked several times - some of the bruises would've been hours old & look different to ones that had happened right before she died. Plus where she hit her head when with Max would've started to heal. None of that has been mentioned. The pathologist who did her PM was pretty useless really!

I can't watch anymore. the characters are just so unlikeable. from Cindy being a total bitch, to Stacey cheating and moping around snarling, to rapist dean, to unfaithful kush, to face contorting shabs, murdering Bobby, abusive Denise (is she still beating up Patrick? ), to kims hubby who had dulled her shine and humour and is incredibly unfunny and unscary...... it's dire.

I'm taking a break from watching. especially as they are regurgitating the bloody Lucy story.

When must got mugged didn't she get hit by jay / Ben and why did they mug her?? Not what friends do

Thought Steve McFadden did well tonight. I like the Ian and Phil scenes when they don't involve toilets.
I can't stand Ben and as this isn't real life, I'm quite happy for him to be involved in a miscarriage of justice as he should still be in prison for what he did to Hev.
Clearly the Kathy 'in' is going to be far-fetched and infuriating, unless Ian has been in the shower for 20yrs and nothing has happened.

Bobby is a fucking psychopath! The way he was going to hit Phil with that golf club! Do normal 12 year old do this sort of thing?! Ian and Jane need to get him seen to.

What the hell is Phil going to say to Marsden? Is he going to hand over the purse and phone and tell her Ben mugged Lucy that night? Ben's prints must be all over them. Phil is obviously feeling bad and that Ben needs to be punished.

I still think Bobby is adorable, the actor, less so the character! Are they deliberately portraying him as having some developmental delay that no-one's ever noticed or commented on before?! My 3yo is more on the ball than him! Confused

I thought Jay was related to Billy Mitchell? Lola is his granddaughter so does that make Jay and Lola related? Lola and Ben are related and had a baby and then yesterday Phil kept saying that maybe Ben 'tried it on' with Lucy - but she's his niece :/

The taxi driver saw Max with Lucy when he helped her to get the drunk guy (Joel?) out of the taxi. So am sure he'll remember Max, unless he was too drunk.

And after his heartfelt speech about it being his fault that his son was disturbed, Phil walks straight out and starts being nasty to Jay who looks to him as a father figure.

I did find it worrying that him and Lola seemed to be so in love - you know that's not going to end well coz EE won't allow them to be happy. As Lola is leaving I wonder what tragedy they have in store for her.
