I thought that about Max, then thought maybe Carol had given him free sandwiches. He really should sign on, it's ok for him to sponge off his sister and not contribute but not to claim benefits.

So which of the Mitchells is Marsden out to arrest? I'm guessing Ben with his previous & connection to the victim. Perhaps one of his old prison mates has lied about Ben confessing to him to get a deal for some crime... Has there been any mention of Ben being in touch with anyone from jail? Or maybe Abi's being driven mad again by his blatant infidelity & is making things up assuming that Paul wouldn't visit Ben in prison so he'd be interested in her again, even if it were just during visiting hours... Grin

I saw an interview with Paul-actor who said we'd already been given hints about what's really going on with Claudette & Les. Oooh, maybe Claudette got him to fake someone's funeral too & is now blackmailing him into having a relationship with her...

Of course! I assumed they were there to arrest Phil and couldn't really work that out but it makes sense to be Ben or Jay given they did see her and had her phone/purse that night.

Ooh I wonder what Ian and Jane are going to do. Surely they can't let someone else take the rap. It has to be Ben, they didn't want Bobby to hear anything upsetting and Ben is his uncle!

The dilemna for Ian Will be whether to let his brother take the rap for his son.

Ben was twitchy all the episode so he was clearly worried about something which implies guilt.
Maybe the ultimate twist will be that it wasn't Bobby after all and Ben had already bashed her round the head before she came home and Bobby hit her.

It seemed like they reminded us that Ben is Ian's brother as well last night. They barely seem to have a relationship but last night it showed Ben calling Ian 'bruv" and him talking about the story in the paper. Setting the scene!

I know this is totally besides the point, but Carol wasn't working when Max was in the caf getting his sandwich...I'm starting to understand why no one will hire you Max, you have no money sense! reevaluates life as to why this is bothering me so much

We can conclude that they aren't going to arrest Phil, so they've come for Ben or Jay. I think Ben is most likely as he's the only one Ian would be bothered about being wrongly arrested.

And ew to getting frisky in the funeral home. Wouldn't Ben be a little creeped out by it. I'm also unreasonably enraged by Pauls lack of sleeves and his hairband.

Why would Max and Kush immediately think Stacey wanted to have an abortion? im starting to think that lush but sleazy Kush will jilt Shabnam and she'll end up having the baby on her own like last time.

lush but sleazy Kush sums him up perfectly red I'm also totally in agreement about the awful bare arms and hairband. The wardrobe people must have such a laugh. carol is a Per Una wet dream and I miss Bianca's outrageous ensembles.

I like your thinking southeast I think Martin will become more and more suspicious of what actually happened, he seemed to be very Hmm to Ian, I think he might start asking Cindy questions and it'll all begin to unravel

Creme Gillian Taylforth is due to come back so seems perfectly good excuse to use. Soaps aren't known for their realism or continuity, as is often expressed on these threads.

Maybe the reason Phil was so nice to Ian after Lucy died was because Kathy told him to look after him. I take it from the whole Mitchell clan getting involved that Phil has been aware that Kathy isn't dead for a while. Perhaps there was something preventing her from coming back that's not going to be an issue much longer. Maybe Phil is working to get rid of someone who's threatening her/Ben. I couldn't care less about Kathy coming back, I just want to know what contrived excuse they can find for her to have pretended to be dead for over? a decade.

I did have a snigger about Max & Carol's conversation where she made some comment about her not being his only family & his only thought was of Abi... Let's forget the 3 other siblings & other daughter, shall we?! Can't he just Skype one of them for a whinge instead of bugging Carol while she's trying to earn some money?!

I think DH got a bit frustrated with me talking over the dialogue & re-writing the script in today's episode...
Abi: "Well, come on then. You can apologise now..."
Max: "What? Where are you going?"
Abi: "Out onto the street so I can watch Ben being arrested & look horrified!"
