Really good episode. Eastenders does do well when they focus on a pair of characters like that.

I know Asian skin scars more then white skin - but surely tams would have been offered plastic surgery /tidy up

Didn't he have sex /relationship with someone after the burns?

Did we know Nancy was was an epileptic ?

Nancy had about two or three fits before when been under stress. Not sure of the plot as going to the doctors maybe she's depressed? was hoping tamwar would show scars but sure he has ready?

Think when was fire at pub or somewhere he went off in state and showed Nancy after that?

Agree while SS thing crazy they need DNa to show they are parents at least. And consider mums mental state bit just ship her into the square. Plus neither buster or Shirley are working where are they going to live?

Nancy had a fit during the aftermath of Linda's revelation about the rape and all the Dean/Shirley/Mick fighting that ensued.

I like the way they involve the dog in those scenes: it's true that some animals can sense when their owners are about to have a seizure.

Yes, some are trained as seizure dogs, They are trained to get the person to lay on the floor and lay across them when they sense a seizure coming.

I was mostly just excited that Lady Di still existed! We've not seen or heard about her for months! Grin

Interesting that others thought the Carol/Shirley scenes were so good. I thought they were good up to a point. There was a moment when Carol was sitting in the kitchen doing a monologue that suddenly felt very much like a carefully scripted interview, rather than a genuine conversation, IYSWIM. I love that they used a body double & actually showed the scars.

I felt so sad for both Tam & Nancy. If only they could both shut up long enough for the other to talk! I remember in the aftermath of the fire Tamwar didn't want Afia to put cream on & insisted his mum do it. I think he did work through that but I can't remember if they had sex again before she left. I don't remember him showing Nancy his scars but vaguely remember her being told about the fire when Alfie set fire to their house. Did it seem to anyone else like he wanted to tell her it wasn't his religion that was stopping him having sex with her? I think it would be a shame if they went that way with the storyline. I'm enjoying learning a little more about Islam since Shabnam's been back & it could be interesting to see an inter-cultural relationship where one person did have strong beliefs. They're obviously not going to portray that with Shabs & Kush since they seem hell-bent on splitting them up.

I know. Sonia really annoyed me tonight. She isn't Carol's bloody mother. Carol is a grown woman who doesn't have to answer to anyone. I was pissed off that Carol apologised. She has battled cancer. She can be as selfish as she likes without having to constantly confide in and reassure her family that they are doing a great job being there for her (actually it just seems like Sonia just wants to argue with her, don't see that much support).

Glad to see I'm not the only one that is annoyed by Sonia, for gods sake she stole the charity money for a fat op, moved tina in to her mums house and is generally a pain in the arse, she is hardly in a position to get all judgey with carol

Just wanted to point out three things about Tamwar fasting:

  1. He would have had really stinky breath and Nancy would not have kissed him
  1. You have to abstain from eating and drinking from sunrise to sunset, but also abstain from sex.
  1. When they woke up, it was dark. Believe me, if you'd been fasting all day, you wouldn't miss the time to break it!!!

I want carol to go off with buster. I actually think they would make a lovely couple. I think Shirley and buster should split beforehand though and not have it be that carol split them.
I enjoyed Fridays episode. I always think it works well when they throw 2 characters together who don't normally have much to do with each other. Shirley and carol were both great and you can completely see how and why carol chose that moment to reveal all. Shirley has a hard appearance but is soft underneath it. So has the right amount of sympathy but no pity.

I am glad they are using Tamwar more. He has been underused for so long and I didn't realise til last night how good he actually is

glad it was not just me, get lost Sonya. I think I would have told Sonya and Tina to move out after tge way she went on at Carol.
