I missed the start last night but caught the end when Carol was confronted with her bra. If I was having a bit of nookie of a sofa that I shouldn't I'd certainly make sure I left with all of my clothing. Leaving without a bra wouldn't be an option!

It's all a bit moralistic and judgey of the writers for my liking too. Very 1960's "if you spread your legs your life will be ruined young lady"

Dear BBC
After watching a documentary on the working Class the other night i decided that i could write for EastEnders.
Being dedicated to my work i rented a hotel room in the heart of the Eastend and watched them, carefully studying their behaviour safely from my window.
I was amazed they are so like us in many ways, yet so far from being us, you can really tell we all came from the same place once long ago.

Shabs is one of the drippiest characters ever to grace EE though and she is 85% responsible for me watching only 2 episodes in the last 3 months - and she is still there gurning on and on FFS!

Well, I qualify for that much at least! Grin I would love to work on scripts for EE but unfortunately I live at the wrong end of the country, have 2 small DC that I don't plan on putting in full-time childcare, have no experience of script editing & get anxious when communicating with people or suggesting my ideas. I'd happily edit scripts via email though. They could email over the scripts, I'd read them, find all the plot holes & inconsistencies & email it back. EE would be dramatically improved for all of us & there'd be no more child-cupboard or unexpectedly large/small babies. There would also be a character with ASD/HFA who would appear "normal" much of the time but it would just be masking & the scripts would cleverly educate people on how difficult it is for some people with ASD to pretend to be neurotypical all the time as well as drawing attention to some of the lesser-known difficulties, like how hard it can be to get a job when you have anxiety issues & low self esteem because of your ASD.

Perhaps I could suggest they give me the job & allow me to work from home so they can use me as an example of what a wonderfully inclusive company they are. I can dream! Grin

I like Shabs. Probably because she's a lot like me, but more outspoken. I have an inexplicable dislike of the word "gurning". Just something about the sound of it freaks me out. I shall have to remember it for the next time someone starts a thread about the word "moist".

I also don't get people leaving their bras behind when they've had a bit of on the couch shagging. Mine are all heavy duty scaffolding from Bravissimo, I'm not leaving them behind. Plus how would you not know you have no bra on?

I am really confused.
Shabnam left her daughter on her aunts doorstep without a note explaining it was her child.
Jade is now in foster care. During this time Shabnam has had nothing to do with her. She didn't register her birth she didn't 'put' her in foster care. How can she then tell social services "oh yeah it's ok for my daughter to see her grandma Shirley?"
Wouldn't she need to go through some checks?? It's driving me insane eventhough it's just a show. But you can't just pick and choose who social services can give access to. I really don't want it giving false ideas to people.

I am glad Carol might be fluttering her eyelashes at Buster (is that his name?) tho as he is growing on me and prob would end up nicely slotting into Carol's set up - and Shurl needs to be back with Phil. Sharon & her ringlets can have Richard Blackwood. Kush and Shabnam have no chemistry so throwing Stace into the mix was genius...lets face it she has sod all else to do/was seriously under used. Ronnie needs a Steve Kemp type of gangster or what was the other guy - Johnnie Allen? Mr Blackwood is seriously lacking in menace. You cant beat a bit of menace IMO.

shehasawildheart I'm confused by it too. I thought she didn't leave a note so how would the aunt know it was her baby and how did Fatima (is that who we saw recently?) know where Jade was? Is it Fatima she left her with? I agree about registering the birth as well. I doubt she did any of that. Some plot holes there definitely!

I though Kush looked bored too. He certainly isn't staying with Shabnam for the right reasons. Which is stupid considering how much he liked her from the first time he saw her and how he has pursued her. Also Carmel seems to be going on about Stacey a lot being pretty/good friend/lovely etc. It's quite annoying how much she is bigging her up. She's a home wrecking miserable whingebag who never has a good word to say about anyone. I really don't like Stacey or any of the Slaters tbh (little Mo was ok).

I don't think the bra is Carol's. Surely she would have one that has a false bit one side? Or do you put something in them? Sorry no experience of mastectomies. But even if that is the case, she would leave without her bra on. I think she said it to wind Shirley up and to not sound like her boring (in her eyes) self.

Sonia needs to fuck off. She is irritating as hell. I love how the fact she is a nurse means they all treat her the The Doctor of All Things and a fountain of medical knowledge.
