I am a bit disappointed with Sansa and Theon running off, because it means that Sansa did not have A PLAN.

Fairly certain that they both know exactly how much snow you can jump into off that wall and not die. Sansa may not have done it herself but I bet Arya and all the boys did.

When Brienne made her speech and then asked Stannis if he had any last words, I was expecting someone to stab her in the back.

I was also expecting Brienne to have someone behind her.

Suspect that she took so long over it because she was having second thoughts. After all, she's so very very moral and Stannis had a better claim to the throne than Renly.

I yelled at Brienne to get on and kill him, and also at Sansa - use the corkscrew to open the door and leave it behind?? Surely that was destined for Ramsey's eye sockets? Would have been pleasing to have both Stark girls stabbing sadistic bastards in the eyes!

Well! That generally went as expected, although Myrcella was a surprise.

Do people think that Stannis is still alive? I'm not so sure that he is alive.

One thing that did not absolutely make sense was being told all the horses had been taken (obviously by the Dothraki judging by the number of horses that they had) and Mel disappearing after that and arriving on a horse at the Wall.

I really hope Mel isn't the one to save/resurrect Jon - I really dislike her and the Red God.

No way is Jon dead though. Blind Gossip had a very interesting post that clearly relates to this. Though the Kit Harrington interview has given me a moment of doubt.

Too many cliffhanger deaths though - salary negotiations must be coming up. Bit disappointed by this series, with the exception of episodes 8 and 9. Pacing was abysmal.

I don't think Sansa gave a shit at that point-she was prepared to die anyway. But a corkscrew in the goolies would be a fitting end to Roose. Hopefully Brienne will find her.

I love the fact that both Jaime and Cersei are meant to be so blonde that a major plot depends on it, yet give the both a hair I and one turns brunette, the other ginger. and don't get me started on Tyrion

Ser Jorah what colour hair has Tyrion anyway! It is a bit random that all the blonde actors seem to be brunettes naturally and vice versa...I have been wondering why she is ginger too, I guess Lena's hair couldn't take the bleach anymore....but why not just stick a blonde wig on her like with Dany . I totally agree on your comment about pacing, this series was def lacking even though there were exciting stories to be told ....the epicness was lacking in that finale especially given the slow start . ... and where was the bloody snow in the battle!

I think they did well. The last few books dragged on a bit, they managed to whip through and bring everything mostly up to date in one series. I now look forward to watching/reading and not knowing again! But I can't wait all these months.

And Kit Harrington takes himself very seriously as an actor so will never give any spoilers away!

Oooh the CGI was well dodgy on Cerseis face during the Walk of Shame. Her jaw was all wonky. Could not unsee.

(It was a body double - LH was pregnant so they stuck her face on someone else)

OK I'll put my hand up - I haven't a clue what was going on with Arya and the body on the floor. What was his point with all the different faces? I didn't get it. And why did she go blind?

The way she killed Meryn Trant was horrible though. Why do they always do eye stuff?? I HATE all the eye stuff!

Arya went blind because, as he said, she was someone and the faces were poison if you are someone. If she had become no one before wearing a face, she would have been safe.

Like others on here, I was disappointed with the number of cliffhangers too. Although Cersei showed some backbone taking that walk, she was still lying about her major sin and was just being devious and bloody minded to get back to the throne, so I still don't like her at all. It's a shame they released her and I hope she does get her comeuppance. Let's not forget she's left a couple of other, more innocent people in those cells who she put there.

I was surprised they let her go. I'm sure they knew she was lying. Unless they are (well, were) preparing her comeuppance for when Jaime returned with Myrcella.

Surely Jaime would just tiurn back to dorne? Not that far out.
I wish I looked like Cersei after popping out 3 kids.

When I said on the other thread I was irritated by all the cliffhangers and that I thought the fate of the characters would depend on salary negotiations/audience popularity and that all the cliffhangers were lazy writing someone said I was being harsh. But there are so many characters in peril it's put me off, rather than tantalise me.
