Jaqen knew Arya was lying.

Lweji · 10/06/2015 09:15

I thought Jaqen was testing earlier how good she was at lying (or actually believing her own lies) if she wants to be someone without a face. As in to become someone else she has to "be" that person, so she cannot lie, but tell that person's truth.

yumyumpoppycat · 10/06/2015 09:52

I don't think it has to be 3 targs, just 3 people that can control a dragon.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 10/06/2015 10:55

Be interesting to see how Bran will play a part in the next series. He can control things by entering their heads/minds, so maybe that will come into play.

yumyumpoppycat · 10/06/2015 10:59

yes and he dreams of flying, ...and isn't there a prophecy about water in the books or was I dreaming that?

Moln · 10/06/2015 16:24

Do you think Meryn Trent was looking at Arya because he recognised her or because she was a young girl?

Cooroo · 10/06/2015 16:29

Shudder. I hope not but I fear so.

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 10/06/2015 17:33

Bran will warg into(get me) a dragon, so he's riding it that way.
My son just showed me this-it's moderately amusing.
Last episode

Agent160 · 10/06/2015 17:34

I think there was some recognition there. Perhaps he wasn't 100% sure but he definitely looked like he was starting to recognise her. Plus when she opens her mouth her Westerosi accent would be a clue. Hence she'll have to change her appearance to kill him.

I have a question about the Faceless changing their appearance. If they take on the faces of the dead could they kill someone and then assume their identity?

Lweji · 10/06/2015 17:55

On that "last episode" I did laugh at a couple of bits.
"They threatened us with a necklace"

And it was nice to finally see Jaqen's and Arya's face on that scene.

AmberFool · 10/06/2015 18:33

Hence she'll have to change her appearance to kill him.

That's interesting because I think she needs to be Arya to kill him. My take on this: I don't think Jaquen was anyway fooled by her lie. If he was, then he's crap at his job Grin He knows that a girl is still Arya and not ready to be no one. I think she will kill Trant but be punished for it - if it goes in the way of the books. Showrunners may decide to change it. Also, I think she will want Trant to recognise her, don't you?

AmberFool · 10/06/2015 18:36

Yes, that's true. But I wasn't necessarily talking about the actual dragons - I was talking about 3 heads of a dragon where the dragon is an actual Targ.

Vivacia · 10/06/2015 20:07

If they take on the faces of the dead could they kill someone and then assume their identity?

I don't think it's spoilerish at this stage to say, yes, in the books.

herfrom2doorsdown · 10/06/2015 20:54

Oooh I thought the 3 dragon riders are Targeryans. Dany and 2 others but we don't know they have Targeryan blood yet.

yumyumpoppycat · 10/06/2015 21:00

In which case if dany is the dragon, tyrion for instance could be one of the heads?

ArabellaStrange · 10/06/2015 21:03

Ohwhat, thank you for posting that, it was vair amusing!

QueenOfThorns · 10/06/2015 21:14

That was highly amusing, Ohwhatfuckery! I love their faces on the 'friends that judge together stay together' one Grin

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 11/06/2015 17:53

I like "cold and miserable-the Jon Snow story"
Do you think if he goes to ahem, warmer climes, he might divest himself of that (must be rank by now) leather? get his kit off

QueenOfThorns · 11/06/2015 21:14

I've often thought that Jon Snow (along with pretty much everyone else in the North) looks like he might smell Grin

I watched Pompeii the other day - reducing the clothing levels definitely improves him, but I just can't get over the fact that he's short. Sorry Jon Snow Kit Snow Grin

Lweji · 11/06/2015 21:26

But it's cold. I bet even smelly sweat bacteria are dead there.

Lweji · 11/06/2015 21:43

Star Wars vs GoT

Tequilashotfor1 · 11/06/2015 22:16

Marry me kit!!!!!!

AmberFool · 12/06/2015 07:15

Lweji Theon's face says it all! Grin

QueenOfThorns · 12/06/2015 09:18

OK, perhaps height isn't everything! We need a [drool] icon Grin

Cooroo · 12/06/2015 10:00

Height certainly isn't everything - Tyrion anyone?

So the Faceless thing: ok they've got preserved faces but there is still magic involved, right? And did Jaqen imply that nose mouth and ears are surgically removed to low the faces to be used? Making them truly faceless? Yuck. And I have read the books but can't remember if this was ever made clear.
