And on that note, it's time to clean the loo. Better read the MN thread for guidelines first.

woof AT is 32 on Friday so I suppose he could definitely be in the running for the job based on my highly ageist criteria - although he'd need to cut his hair - couldn't have a straggly haired Bond! I would certainly fail the criteria if there was to be a first female Bond on so many grounds I couldn't even start on them. However, that's an interesting question which I think has been raised somewhere before - what if they were casting Jemima Bond? Who would fit the bill then? What's the betting it would be Keira Knightley?

SoEverybodyDance · 17/06/2015 12:17

Gay with no dress sense or taste that's almost an oxymoron Orphan! You did make me laugh!

orphan · 17/06/2015 12:43

OK rhubarb how about Matthew Goode? 37, so a good few years left before we have to depose him and he would def cut a dash in a dinner jacket.

Oo Orph funny about how you mentioned a teeny bit of you think BAs gay, I was talking to one of the mams who I don't see very often but a huge BA fan, she was adamant he's not gay and just picky. I really don't think he's gay mind. He's just very well spoken too as sometimes his voice doesn't sound the deepest.

KellyHb · 17/06/2015 12:48

Funnily enough I've always liked Matthew Goode esp in the film Leap Year. He was great opposite Amy Adams.

orphan · 17/06/2015 12:53

Oh not Keira! I like her but not as a super spy. Will have to think on that one.

Anyone watch Humans the new c4 drama about 'synths' (humanoid robots) who are used as servants and even prostitutes by humans? The husband in the series buys a gorgeous female synth to help around the house, much to his wife's dismay (but his teen son's delight). Found myself thinking how lovely if a CJ synth was available.

orphan · 17/06/2015 12:59

Did you see Matthew Goode in Stoker kelly? It was a very different role to his usual ones - basically he was a psychotic killer, but very elegant and well dressed!

KellyHb · 17/06/2015 13:12

Actually I did want to see that but never got round to it. Ill see if i can get it on DVD. Thanks for reminding me.

orphan · 17/06/2015 13:27

whajeb wonderful update to a brilliant story! Angst, two time frames, bitter recriminations, father-daughter reunion, undeclared suppressed love. It has it all!

KellyHb · 17/06/2015 13:45

To rest my mind orph do you think it's could mean something that BA favourited that tweet about Drag queens or an I reading too much into it? Just he hardly ever favourites tweets but then he favourites that one?!

cjwoofwoof · 17/06/2015 13:49

Ah yes Matthew Goode he would do very nicely indeed thank you. And no need to worry about ATs hair Rhu I'm sure his wig has its own agent and is definitely not in the running for JB. Female JB I'd like to see is Sheridan Smith or Gemma Arterton (but I think she's already been a Bond Girl before).

As for a CJ 'synth' orph that would be very useful indeed for unblocking plumbing and general rotavating of overgrown bushy gardens.

SoEverybodyDance · 17/06/2015 13:54

And what about a CJ synth for removing high and low stools Woofy?

Richtea19 · 17/06/2015 14:05

Could we consider Tom Hiddleston for the role of James Bond? British and looks the right age. orphan I've thought that a while about BA. I suppose it started from that picture we all saw of him at a wedding holding hands with that man, then the dress sense. It would be a dreadful shame, however I am sure we could all turn him!!!!! :)

cjwoofwoof · 17/06/2015 14:07

Ditto Rich it was the feather ostrich cape that hinted it for me I'm afraid. But you're right, just give me an hour and I could turn him no danger.

Dancey I think I'd leave the stools removal to DH - that's more his bag and really all he deserves Grin

cjwoofwoof · 17/06/2015 14:09

I would pay good money to see Tom Hiddleston as JB too. Very nice on the eye that one.

Nickel45 · 17/06/2015 14:18

Why do I do this to myself every week - back at work, and cant resist dipping in here, Japanese chicken soup (coffee man doing a new line in lunchtime food!) all over the keyboard! Honestly, I really should not read this, or should buy a tried and trusted sandwich, that be cleaned up much easier!!

CJ synth - yes please ... :)

Male JB - sorry, but definitely not DL or Guy Pierce (since he was in Priscilla, I've never really thought of him as manly!). Has that guy from 50SOG been suggested yet (not on here, I mean in RL?). Not sure who I would chose mind. Female JB - Sheridan Smith, good call, but too short I reckon. She's doing well for herself at the moment, in loads of stuff, I really like her too. What about the girl who was in Spooks, the blond one ... Miranda Raison?

Anyway, back to work .....

Rhubarb01 · 17/06/2015 14:22

Matthew Goode - definite possibility orphan. I liked him in Dancing on the Edge and there are lots of pics of him in a black tie and suits from that if you need the full effect. Just one teensy little quibble - a slightly weak chin! But I could probably forget that if required.

cjwoofwoof · 17/06/2015 14:40

Ooh get you Nick with your fancy Japanese soup. I had a cheese and onion pasty from Greggs - you're well outta my league. Do you also live in one of them big houses with the staircases you fall down, like in The Omen?

50SOG man good call but minus the beard please, and not quite in AT, Matthew Goode, Tom H or Idris's league. I suspect he's contracted to do the other two 50SOG films though so unavailable. Lets have fewer worries about weak chins and more concentration on those with fullsome tight trousers Rhu if we're going to sort out the JB dilemma post Daniel, who I must admit could nicely fill a pair of budgie smugglers when the script required.

orphan · 17/06/2015 14:42

Ha rhubarb the weak chin is my one quibble as well! Yes to Hiddleston - very classy.

I think the tweet could be a little sign I'm afraid kelly. A man who has an ostrich feather cape in his wardrobe I don't believe it was just a photo shoot probably has the full Judy Garland back catalogue.

cjwoofwoof · 17/06/2015 14:42

I've just caught up on the ff. Simply brilliant updates from whaj dancey and greenstuff not so sure about the one where Charles is King Hmm

orphan · 17/06/2015 14:46

Oh yes, fantastic update dance. Do hope you're never tempted to write for the Board of British Caravan Holidays though! Saving greenstuff for later.

Ah, but he's king in our hearts isn't he woof? Grin

orphan · 17/06/2015 14:52

The woman in the series who had the male synth masseur certainly looked happy when he scooped her up and carried her off. I wonder how long they can go before needing to be charged up? Would need to be careful not to overheat my CJ synth. Wouldn't want premature blowout.

cjwoofwoof · 17/06/2015 14:57

Certainly on top orph just not sure about King.

Lets face it, you do have form when it comes to premature blowout too. Dear Ian always came early to your parties.

orphan · 17/06/2015 15:04

I can't help it if I'm more woman than any redblooded male can handle woof plus dear Ian refused to see anyone about his problem. At least, premature blowback wasn't anything I had to cope with, unlike you...
