pixie reading your chapter made me realise just how much I've missed Op Nyota. I loved your update and isn't CJ just swoon worthy with his 'camping' surprise?! Can't wait to see if he does propose.

A great first date kelly . Please don't feel so anxious about your writing. It's a really lovely gentle story (so far anyway, don't know if you've angst and trauma planned!) and I'm thoroughly enjoying seeing their romance unfold. The photo booth scene made me smile cos last night in London, dp and I went into an old style photo booth that was in the bar we were in. We managed to completely mess up the photos, mistiming every single shot. The first one, I'm scrabbling on the floor, having dropped my phone, and it looks horribly like I'm giving dp a 'good time'...Blush In another, I'm cross eyed, but not on purpose.

Ah yes, this naked bike ride with Matthias was a great idea of yours orph I'm on the back of the tandem natch. He doesn't realize I'm not pedaling at all, just freewheeling and admiring the mighty fine view of billowing smock in front of me

Richtea19 · 14/06/2015 14:46

Richtea19 · 14/06/2015 14:47

woof hillarous diary of CJ touring the country. A mini series in the making!

cjwoofwoof · 14/06/2015 15:31

Thank you Rich ...wait til I get to YOUR CJ visit!

Fantastic ff updates and a double woohoo for Nyota. Going to read it all again later

KellyHb · 14/06/2015 21:13

Hi. It seems quiet on here tonight. Thanks orph. I'm sure it's just a little wobble. Need to get my head into next chapter. That's so funny about the photo booth. It just popped into my mind and now you've been in one too! I could've done a photo where molly bent to pick something up and ooph give Charles an eyefull and click! Grin

Did anyone see the retweet that BA gave the lady who makes jewellery for help for heroes?? How greats that?? I would melt on the floor if he retweeted something of mine. I had to tweet her and say how lucky she was. Star

pixieg1rl · 14/06/2015 21:15

Very restrained day at the garden show, we're making plans for a weekend at Tatton Park next year. Completely shattered after being on my feet all day.

Thanks for all the nice words about Nyota,I promise, no more 3 month waits for the next chapter

Nickel45 · 14/06/2015 21:24

Hello :)

I've not managed to catch up with the ff ... the kids will not go to bed and stay there and go to sleep, so given up trying to concentrates. I'd love to go to bed and go to sleep ... why can't they!!

Ilovelblue · 14/06/2015 21:44

pixie we will have to arrange to meet if you come to Tatton, though we usually go on the Wednesday (members' day) as it's a bit quieter.

Did you see any of the TV gardeners? I've had my photo taken with Carol Klein and Chris Beardshaw before now.

pixieg1rl · 14/06/2015 21:57

I saw Monty. He got quite exercised when someone asked a question about insecticide.

Nickel45 · 14/06/2015 22:21

pix, scarily I was trying to think what woof would say to that, but I just couldn't do it justice!! Anyway, just scary how my mind is thinking at the moment. And that I could murder a Baileys ... (but am too lazy to actually go and get one!) ... anyway .... I am trying to sort out some very annoying people at the moment, on email, and one lady wrote back (who isn't annoying at all ... in case she's reading this - she's lovely!) and said I was "infinitely sensible". She obviously doesn't know me very well!!!! But I was quite chuffed I gave that illusion ... mind, if she is on here, and now knows who I am, she will undoubtedly have changed her opinion!

KellyHb · 14/06/2015 22:25

Just read an article on daily mail about BBC facing £500m worth of cuts! I hope that doesn't extend to TV commissioning!!

And on FB there was an article about the Almeida Theatre fundraising thing BA was involved in. I think him and a few others were dressed as Greeks and performed while people had their dinner. Apparently Billie Piper was there and Andrew Scott from Sherlock. Coor imagine seeing BA dressed as a Greek god Grin.

Ilovelblue · 14/06/2015 22:44

I watched that Home Fires thing earlier - I've sort of followed it but not concentrated properly. It's been quite good. At the end (I hadn't even realised it was the last episode), it said there would be a second series next year. Got quite cross thinking about the uncertainty around OG.

The BBC probably just need to axe (not literally) some of their very highly paid management.

Ilovelblue · 14/06/2015 22:46

pixie we need to arrange how you are going to get CJ to me in my hotel in Surrey next Sunday after he's done his wedding escort duties for you.

BK are you able to help out or are we sending him across country by train?

Nickel do you fancy having CJ as a house guest for a few days? I can throw him out on our way home somewhere on the M40 next Wednesday!!??

Nickel45 · 14/06/2015 22:51

I've been watching Home Fires too, haven't seen tonight's yet, but have it recorded. Not in the same league as OG but nice am enjoying it. I like Samantha Bond in it, she makes me laugh!

I'll pick up CJ from you next week ilove, I'm sure I can find something he can help me with, while he's here Wink ... just need to finish DTT before then, but that shouldn't be a problem! I'm finding I am reading it every minute I get ... I just don't get many minutes!

Rhubarb01 · 14/06/2015 22:52

I watched Home Fires too. I think they knew right from the start barring disastrous viewing figures it would be running to several series just from the storylines alone. But ITV have the money and period drama series sell well overseas.

Nickel45 · 14/06/2015 22:52

By the way, I didn't realise it was the last ep of HF today either!

Nickel45 · 14/06/2015 22:52

Or that they'd recommissioned it already ..... grr ...... I do like it, but ....... !!!!!

KellyHb · 14/06/2015 23:00

Did anyone hear today that OG is being shown in Sweden? I'm not sure what night the first episode is on but it's very soon. I hope the BBC aren't gonna wait to announce a new series until they've shown it to all these different countries cos that could take forever and BA could be booked up with work by then! Confused

Rhubarb01 · 14/06/2015 23:00

I came across an online poll the other day following comments from an ex-Eastenders actor saying he thought that perhaps it had had its day. Thinking of LT tied into that dismal series (sorry not a fan) to the question "should Eastenders be scrapped?" I answered Yes and found that sixty eight per cent of people agreed. Maybe without Eastenders and its hefty commitments another series of OG would happen.

Rhubarb01 · 14/06/2015 23:03

I like the idea of exporting a bit of British drama to Scandanavia rather than the other way round.

Ilovelblue · 14/06/2015 23:05

Rhubarb do we all need to vote in that poll maybe? (Unless anyone is an Eastenders fan of course).

Nickel by the time I am ready to throw CJ out on the M40 after our gardens weekend, he will be so well versed horticulturally that he will be begging you to let him show off his new found knowledge in your front garden........... Grin.

I do hope he's not going to throw a tantrum if I won't let him drive. He did behave like a sulky child when we were in Bath.

Rhubarb01 · 14/06/2015 23:13

The poll was on the bt tv website under the heading "Should Eastenders be axed?" Sadly I don't think it will carry much weight - after all pushing Sherlock to the limit didn't work - and I can't see the BBC ditching it for years. Sorry, I know people do like it but I gave up on it about 25 years ago. I even ditched Coronation Street about 2 years ago when I couldn't keep up with the multiple episodes per week any more and I'd watched it for donkey's years.

KellyHb · 14/06/2015 23:48

On no. I hope the BBC would let LT go if there's another series. I mean its all the BBC. If they knew they couldnt make her available to make another series of OG, we wouldve heard something? I was watching briefly a bit of EE from the other day and LT is totally wasted there. She only says a couple of lines. Especially when you know how great an actress she is!

Rhubarb01 · 15/06/2015 06:59

Kelly I think they probably could make LT available if they wanted although they claimed they had big storylines for her. I don't know if she has been involved in any but whenever I occasionally come across it on TV it only seems to be a few characters saying "Leave it out!" all the time. I think I stopped watching way back because it was depressing even then and it doesn't seem to have got better. I have to say that Corrie used to have humour but that seems to have disappeared over the years in favour of more over the top drama rather than domestic drama. The murder rate in that street is ridiculous. I'm surprised Weatherfield haven't opened a Police Station on the corner just to deal with the residents. They must account for half of Greater Manchester's crime figures.
