Run out of everything here, need to go shopping! Blimmin' DTT meant I didn't get anything done today hey ho! Loving it though! pix only two days past their date is fine! I've always tried to not give my kids stuff too far past it's sell by date .... that's gone completely by the board this week! Oops! Still. They've been fine and it must be good for their immune system!

I'm pretty blazé about use by dates, it helps that DS is dairy free so doesn't come into contact with a lot of the worst offenders. Poor blighter has a case of the trots today, had an unfortunate accident in the garden earlier, but even I'm not lax enough to feed him gin soaked olives

I sent Greenstuff a PM yesterday and wanted to send her something via the ff messaging system but it wouldn't work so I ended up phoning her after she'd kindly given me her number. What a lovely lady! We chatted for ages. It made me laugh afterwards because although the longest serving of us have been on here for almost eight months, this was the first ever time I had spoken about MN, ff and our CJ obsession out loud. It was quite a weird feeling.

Well, I was going to mention as well that she says she doesn't do social media but I tried to persuade her at least to lurk on here for a while even if she doesn't create an ID and join in. I said we had all admired her writing and the speed at which she produces it too. Watch this space - maybe I have managed to persuade her. She did like the idea of our CJ on tour - Kenya, Amsterdam and all over the UK and I explained that all the best ff writers apart from her are on here as well!

It was really, really odd to be discussing it out loud.

I can imagine it's strange. I've still not told anyone!! I don't know how I would have managed though, if I'd not had anyone to "talk" to on here though. Mind you, decompression might well have happened by now, had I not been on here!! So, just as well I am ...... :)

Morning, torrential downpours here this morning, the garden will be very happy. Long day today bringing DS home from Southampton at end of first year. Have fun all.

Taking a friend out for a garden day for her 50th birthday. First choice had to be scrapped because of the weather forecast though it keeps changing. Off to Holehird in the Lakes instead. Nice lunch overlooking Windermere then the gardens. Fingers crossed about the weather!

We have a party in the garden today, very cloudy and not that warm! But I'm determined to keep everyone outside as I have done the garden and not dusted or Hoovered..... Shoved a load of bleach down the loo (shock horror, loo etiquette MN thread!). We are having a bbq. I asked DH to look at the gas bbq yesterday to make sure everything is ok from last year, and of course he didn't, grrrrr. His at work this morning and I've just looked and the whole think has rusted away. I'm so angry. I have 20 people coming and now having to buy disposable ones. pixie too early to turn to the gin?????

Give them lots of alcohol Rich and they won't notice that there's no food.

I've bravely ignored ff today and have cleaned the bathrooms, so I can ignore them for another 6 months now.

World Gin Day! Oh god! Shock horror. Me and gin aren't best friends anymore not since an episode many, many years ago including a cheap student holiday in Spain, cheap imitation Spanish gin - just a smidgin too much of it - and a long night getting closely acquainted with Spanish bathroom fittings from a height of about three inches off the floor. Happy days! It's strange how some things can put you off the taste or smell of something for life! Similarly, I had a terrible problem with pineapple facial wash from the Body Shop for years because of another unfortunate incident. I hasten to add that I have been a very moderate semi-teetotal drinker for many years since.

I have a similar relationship with whiskey, Rhu. Can't abide the stuff now.

Oops, bath overflowed, kids had toast for tea, no shopping done, no food in the house .... Only 7 more chapters of DDT before I can breath again! Knew I shouldn't have started this!!!

Or even DTT ... Isn't the other something poisonous, or something?!!

Ok, 2 cocktails down ...my favourite the Pornstar martini by the way.

No sign of BA yet but the lead actor in High Society was rather delicious.

Adding espresso martini to my fave list as well. Dp says I need to have something to eat now. Apparently my hand gestures are getting quite extravagant.

Evening everyone. Was out in Newcastle last night for a friends birthday and saw lots of men in Saville Row looking suits in a particular bar and it made me think of Jens CJ. I spoke to a couple and said a few "above and beyonds" but none had actually seen Our Girl, a couple had heard of it but none were that impressed when I was waxing lyrical about CJ/BA.

A funny part was in a different bar, me and my friend were approached by a couple of lads from London. LONDON I thought - BA country! So instantly, acting like I think the place only has 3 people living in it, I was asking him if he'd met or heard of BA and he said he would need to see a pic and so produced my phone with at least a good few (ahem 30+) pics of him on and he said he didn't think so although he owned a bar in London and knew Almeida Theatre and had met Jorgie Porter from Hollyoaks-what good are you I thought!?

Sore feet and sore head this morning and definitely remember lots of crazy dancing but well worth it!
