Ok, not sure who to blame thank but thought I'd take a very quick look at DTT this morning just to see what you're all hooked on......2 hrs later I'm just about to start ch8 and can't think about anything else! Intended to do so much today too as also digging DS out of student halls this week BK and need to make space for the avalanche of 'stuff' which will accompany him home.

cjwoofwoof · 10/06/2015 10:46

Ah yes orph Cape Cod Piece was instantly forgettable to the viewing public but is firmly etched in my memory. Dear Ian thought it would stop the stereotyping as The Saint and give him raunchier roles but unfortunately it killed his film career stone dead and left him with an incurable limp (in the trouser department)

orphan · 10/06/2015 11:53

Yep woof, I recall the director had to scrap the scene where you get your gnashers round his stick of rock as dear Ian was clearly not up to the job.

orphan · 10/06/2015 11:55

Although, I think if you'd taken my advice and removed your teeth, dear Ian might not have been so backward in coming forward.

cjwoofwoof · 10/06/2015 12:40

Let's just say there was more than one kind of battered saveloy on the menu that last day of filming orph . Dear Ian, he never did return to Cleethorpes for Cape Cod Piece - Another Helping did he? Thank goodness Oliver Tobias had just finished The Stud and was able to ad lib at short notice. Luckily for me he didn't notice the crew and director had not been paid and we were not actually being filmed as we cavorted on the beach. He said I was so much better at method acting the sex scenes than dear Joan, mainly because he didn't realize I wasn't acting Grin

cjwoofwoof · 10/06/2015 12:45

Aah yes DTT chapter 10 at lunchtime and not a child fed in the house nor a dog walked in the street. Only 50 chapters to go. Currently pretending to latrine clean but only got as far as finding the Harpic and turning a tap on.

And I still blame orphan

orphan · 10/06/2015 13:39

I'm sitting surrounded by unwashed dishes, unironed clothes and with a thoroughly disgruntled Rupert who's been forced to watch Homeland on his own and hurl abuse every time The Sausage appears but I'm on chapter 20.

I'm convinced that despite the fact it was written in 2011, she was channelling the spirit of CJ whilst writing Darcy. And I'm buying Rupert a guitar so he can strum something else in the evenings.

orphan · 10/06/2015 13:43

Yes I remember that beach sex scene woof. From Here to Eternity it definitely wasn't. I think the mood was rather spoilt by the fact that Oliver TooBigAss insisted on wearing a rubber ring round his middle just in case the pounding waves swept him away.

cjwoofwoof · 10/06/2015 13:58

The waves weren't the only thing pounding as I recall orph and the beach was soon deserted once Oli put his rubber on that's for sure. It's a shame you were forced to watch for Health and Safety reasons really, but I'm sure you gained some valuable tips on how to ebb and flow with the tide.

I'm struggling to see Rupert as a guitar player somehow. More of a French Horn man I'd say.

Speighty33 · 10/06/2015 16:10

Hi ladies,
I haven't been on for ages, RL taking over and becoming a little despondent at the lack of BA activity, but I'm back having spent at least two days catching up on the threads. I'm been reading all the FF, Jen loving you're latest offering. Icemist, I can't find the Dance one you mentioned and whats all the FB thing going on, do I need a special link to join. I had hoped there was news of series 2 from TG's post but quickly realised there was no such luck.

Onlygirljen · 10/06/2015 16:25

Thanks speighty! Smile

Dance the tide can be found here
www.fanfiction.net/s/7969398/1/Dance-the-Tide
Feel a bit bad now for mentioning it and throwing so many households into disarray I blame bk too!!

ice should be able to sort you out with the Facebook group, think you need to give her your details so she can add you (it's a secret group so your fb friends can't see what you're up to).

Don't be despondent, we're all still here having fun and waiting out! Smile

cjwoofwoof · 10/06/2015 16:33

Ooh you came back to us Speighty hurrah!

Don't beat yourself up, jen , I still blame orphan

orphan · 10/06/2015 16:51

Yep, I can certainly feel the weight of your blame on me woof. Oh no, sorry my mistake - it's Rupert I can feel. And I'll have you know he's an excellent strummer and a mighty fine plucker. I'm the one who blows his French horn

Richtea19 · 10/06/2015 16:56

Just checking in after day out. Feel I need to join the club and read DTT, but I fear I'm going to struggle, what with RL, work and FF. What shall I give up....yes housework! I've decided it doesn't matter about dust as its summer we are all in the garden!

I've been to Hecer Castle today with a girlfriend that's mad about history. The gardens are beautiful. ilove inthought of your immediatley, stunning flowers and shrubs. Very envious of the alliums and hostas. Packed with tourists so we ditched the English Heritage tea room and headed for the pub. Bottle of NZ SB and chunky hand cooked chips always wins!

Now for a read and snooze in the garden!

cjwoofwoof · 10/06/2015 17:04

Your day sounds magical Rich unlike mine pretending to carry out latrine duties but secretly reading DTT.

Lucky you orph feeling the weight of Rupert rather than guilt for my children's bread and jam tea. I'm hoping the Strike Back boys (and Max) will be able to drag me away from DTT when they pop in round later for a game of strip swearword Scrabble. But I've a feeling they're going to have to come up with some long ones to keep my attention, rather than the usual 4-letters

Richtea19 · 10/06/2015 17:26

woof thanks for reminding me the strike back boys (and Max) are about tonight. Thought of Stonebridge on a jet-ski!!!!

orphan · 10/06/2015 18:05

Urgent message for pixie: PUT DOWN DTT AND FINISH NYOTA. You can't hint that you're close to finishing but may have become distracted. You have responsibilities to your readers.

cjwoofwoof · 10/06/2015 18:30

Ooh yes Rich you can have Stonebridge on a jet ski...accidentally losing his trunks in the powerful wash stream...whilst I'll take Scott (and Max) any way I can aboard a luxury yacht

apsara03 · 10/06/2015 18:47

Hi BK waves. Hope you got DS back ok. We live really close to the uni.

Onlygirljen · 10/06/2015 18:57

Sue Johnston doing the bedtime story tonight. Not quite the same effect.

orphan · 10/06/2015 19:57

OK I've got to stop reading DTT. I'm becoming dissatisfied with my own life and want to move to Cape Cod and live in a beach house with a guitar strumming sex god millionaire who looks uncannily like CJ and wears his shirt sleeves rolled up.

Onlygirljen · 10/06/2015 20:13

Yep orphan - been there, got the dissatisfied tshirt. You got to the end of chapter 28 yet? Personal favourite. 39 is also a goodie, although I felt a bit exhausted by all the good sex in the end not jealous of Elizabeth at all

pixieg1rl · 10/06/2015 20:28

I'm getting a bit bored of it, mind you they've only started shagging, he's just been a bit control freaky so far.

icemistOBE · 10/06/2015 20:30

Yes, he could be a CJ too... I just picture him totally!

speighty to join the FB group just pm me your email address and I'll send you the invite. It's a cracking little group just chatting about FF mainly.
