(Apologies to any French speakers and for lack of cedilla- hazy 'A' level French and an English keyboard) Grin

Looking forward to Monfils/Federer

LOL I know it's a guess, I just wanted your guesses rather than my own because you guys know way more about tennis than me Grin

Seeing as the current womens' match looks as if it might go to a third set (drat!) I reckon not before 6pm UK time.

Raahh · 31/05/2015 14:22

I'm glad they gave her that point. I called it as soon as I saw it. the lines people need sorting.

Corner is really not happy.

I hope Svitolina isn't phased.

Cornet

magimedi · 31/05/2015 14:25

I'm not watching it - am upstairs on the computer farting around & checking the score every so often.

Pigged out on ginger & lemon yogurt ice cream at lucnhtime & might fall asleep if in front of the tennis.

Raahh · 31/05/2015 14:27

tie break .Sad

GrouchyKiwi · 31/05/2015 14:28

Ooh a tie-break.

Have to admit I'm supporting Cornet for two shallow reasons: I like that blue and she amuses me.

magimedi · 31/05/2015 14:31

kiwi I also support people for really shallow reasons & can change my allegiance from match to match!

Apart from El Potato, of course.

Missing him & the banter El Pesky Juan & I have when he's playing.

Raahh · 31/05/2015 14:35

I'm team Svitolina. Cornet is annoying me.

Although I do like the blue. Grin

some fantastic shots this match though.

If this is going to go to 3, Svitolina will probably fall apart.

OP posts:
GrouchyKiwi · 31/05/2015 14:44

That was an exciting tie-break!

Raahh · 31/05/2015 14:46

Phew!

I want Tsonga to win this. and Gabashvili to beat Nishikori. he's had it too easy so far.

OP posts:
Raahh · 31/05/2015 14:53

Nooooo it is raining.

OP posts:
GrouchyKiwi · 31/05/2015 15:09

DH likes Tsonga so we're all supporting him.

MrsVamos · 31/05/2015 15:10

Salut, mon amies. Smile

Poor Alize, was willing her to do well.

Would like to see Tsonga win this, but I fear the infernal Petchey may be right and Berdych will have this match. Sad

Perhaps the crowd will help Jo ?

Waiting for Rog V Gael. Lets hope the rain holds off and doesn't upset play for tomorrow.

JuanPotatoTwo · 31/05/2015 15:13

Hi everyone :) Managed to get here just in time for start of this match. I'd love Jo to win this - maybe he can if he harnesses the power of the crowd. And I would be delighted if Gabby could put Nishikori out.

I have a stroppy ds3 on my hands - you'd have thought by now he'd have realised tennis matches are not a good time to play up.

Drama what a shame your ds hasn't been enjoying his course but he seems to have a sensible plan in hand. Is this his first or second year? Ds1 did exactly that - currently coming to the end of his 2nd year because he hated the course he initially went away to do, so dropped out and started over.

Muddled, I don't in the least blame you for being grumpy having builders in. I hate all the noise and the mess and the disruption. We had 3 days of it recently which was bad enough, 4 weeks would drive me to leave home. And thank you for your lovely comments but I think the gin must have given you dodgy vision!

What did Vika say in her press conference?

JuanPotatoTwo · 31/05/2015 15:16

Which one of us is the Berdy fan? Is it purpleprincess?

JuanPotatoTwo · 31/05/2015 15:17

Great start!

DramaAlpaca · 31/05/2015 15:19

Afternoon all Smile

Can't watch tennis atm as DH is watching hurling, but I'll reclaim the TV after his match.

Juan yes DS just finished 1st year, he deferred going to uni for a year because he had that horrible depressive illness that I think I've talked about before on here. He's now fully recovered, thank goodness. I just hope he gets a place on the course he wants, which is in the city where he was at uni. He's made lots of good friends there so wants to be near them.

JuanPotatoTwo · 31/05/2015 15:19

Muddled meant to ask where you got your ice cream from, it sounds lovely?

JuanPotatoTwo · 31/05/2015 15:23

I don't remember you talking about his illness Drama. Poor lad, that sounds hard but thank goodness he's ok now. Fingers crossed he gets a place on the course he wants. Is the city far from home, ie does he live away in term time?

MrsVamos · 31/05/2015 15:24

Ooh, Jo a break up ! Magnifique start !

I meant to say agree re Vika.

Can't remember what she said exactly but it was along the lines of dubious calls & that something needs to be done.

However. Sam & Marion were talking & said hawk-eye wouldn't work at RG because there is a 2-3mm 'gap' where hawk-eye can be wrong. Shock

Don't know if that only applies to clay, but it sounds like it all needs looking at, hawk-eye, linespeople who can see, seconds between serves etc.

Pain in bum.

Raahh · 31/05/2015 15:25

well, going to plan in one of the matches anyway. Grin
