Welcome back Nickel. What a bad week you chose to be AWOL. You've a lot of catching up to do! I'm not sure of the stats, but I am convinced this must be one of the quickest moving threads for ages. We're 4/5 of the way through this in just over a week.
Brilliant, brilliant ff updates. Whajeb I cried at the end, it was just so lovely and judging by the FB comments too, I'm not the only one to have been moved. Please, please, please consider doing something else.
My friend and her parents were pleased I'd popped round with the cake and the soup. Her father in particular has a sweet tooth so I doubt there's much of it left now! All the furniture had been moved in but was otherwise chaotic as you might expect.
orphan if you are fantasising about work in an office, my place of work is not the place to be. We are an office of around 500, roughly 350 men to 150 women and we have a mere six men so far who could be on our calendar (should we ever do one, it's just in our mind at the moment). This would be like your farmers or firemen etc. Six out of 350 is pretty poor, don't you agree? They range from about 30 through to 50 in age. A couple of years ago, the company took the decision to make the dress code business casual. It didn't affect the women particularly but the men immediately cast their ties and to my mind, half of them are a bunch of scruffs these days.
