What a crap day at work. One of my immediate colleagues lost his Mum suddenly on Friday whilst I was in Scotland. His father has major health problems yet it was his Mum who dropped dead without seemingly having been ill beforehand.I've organised some flowers to be sent to him. My manager's mother has terminal cancer and he is going to be working from her house during her last days down in Somerset and I had to try and set up some temporary access for him for various systems, broadband etc. Then to crown it all, there's talk of redundancies. I think I'm going to hide in my little CJ bubble for a bit and pretend none of it's happening.

Thanks Painted. We've been through redundancies before but it's a horrible time and you just hope your name isn't in the frame. I counted up as well and my colleague's mother's death is the fifth one we've experienced since Christmas. I guess it's because we're all round about the same age.

Easy said and not meant to be flippant but best not to worry until things become clearer. The speculation that goes on with this kind of thing can be worse than what ends up being the reality.
So many of my friends parents have also passed away in the last couple of years, it most definitely is that certain age thing catching us up.
Time for bed now early train from Piccadilly, going to take my handbag size CJ to Alexander McQueen among other things. Night x

painted CJ on a stick is brilliant! You should market that at the AGM, you'd make a fortune!! I'd buy one! If you could make chocolate CJ lollipops too, I'd be a very happy bunny!

I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of CJ on a stick's day, the trip in, a spot of sightseeing, meetings throughout the day and the slow decline of his standards as he hits the bars and the drinks trolley on the train home

I am so up for the chocolate version of CJ on a stick, two of my favourite things, delish!

Rhubarb loved the update, no doubt there's gonna be more misunderstandings in this story, know they'll get there in the end .

I'm well jealous of you cherries getting to share your day with CJ on a stick. Decided to make an adapted one of my own with this old thing I found lying around the house

Unfortunately it's proving extremely difficult to mount him so I'm going to just keep persevering. Not usually this tricky...

Keep getting reminders on my PC that the Poldark DVD is available...... don't feel the urge to buy it unlike OG DVD where I placed pre-order, was counting the days til it was released then was on unexpected holiday when it arrived.

I can't imagine a TV programme ever having the same affect again. (Friends did to a lesser extent). I haven't missed Pokdark at all and won't be buying the DVD.

I'm not as resistant as you kez bought my Poldark DVD today just in case my little bleeders delete the Sky recording "by accident". The pic above is the front cover so how could any red-blooded cougar female resist ?

Thinking about spos FF if we do get a 2nd series and for whatever reason CJ is in the army and now a Major we will be the official majorettes!! So gonna be the name of our thread/group

Have you checked the extras on the dvd woof? I'd heard rumours that there's a special extended (and boy, does it extend! ) version chronicling Ross' pasty making sessions with Prudey. There are also clips of him enthusiastically tucking into her deep filled rhubarb pies.
