How old is Nick supposed to be? He looks about 52, and Sarah looks about 14. It's very hard to see them as brother and sister with just a couple of years between them!

Thinks she's called Jazz Hands due to her stage school acting. Very Bonnie Langford.

I don't want Les Dennis to leave! His misery and beige ness has my DS1 in stitches. I need to google about Jenny now, I'm intrigued!!!

I think Nick was a lot older than David and Sarah Lou as he was Gail's dc from Brian and a baby in about 1980 whereas Sarah and David were Martin's dc or maybe just David. All a bit hazy.

Hmm...Google tells me that Sarah-Lou is Brian Tisley's daughter and 3 years older than David who is a Platt. I think that I still assume she's about 14!

Nick is meant to be 34 but Ben Price ism actually 43 and very much looks it!

Sarah is meant to be about 28 I guess if she had Bethany when she was 14 but looks about 18.

So yes I had the same thought in their close encounter on Wed - they look more like father and daughter than siblings with 6 years between them in theory!

yes I think she was a baby when Brian died and Gail lived in that 70s style house away from the street.

I'm sad Jennah has had such a quick descent into baddiness. I prefer her to Kevin and Sawfeh that's for sure.

My school-friend's mum got pregnant at 50. It isn't unheard of.

Tonight's episodes were quite enjoyable as there was a lot of Tim and Sally and Beth being funny. Carla is always good and I quite like the curry four. Who was the hot one supposed to be for? I missed a bit.

We had a (somewhat startled) 49 year old Mum in my NCT class when I was pg with dd1, it's not unheard of.

I really liked the way the Carla/Nick/Erica story was done. All being grown up, civilised and reasonable. No screaming or slapping going on. I also enjoyed the curry 4 and the dynamic with the 3 lads and Roy. The hot curry was intended for Tyrone after he was boasting about his asbestos tum.

Hopefully she will be back at some point. I'll miss her. The only good thing would be a bunfight between Alya, Sally and Michelle about who would be best at running the factory in her absence

Jenny is clearly only interested in Jack, she can barely hide her disgust for Kevin. When he suggest they do "coupley" things, she seems repulsed.

Claire King does seem quite old to be pregnant, but then again surprise babies at this age are not unheard of as people do think they are "over the hill" and don't bother with birth control.

I'm a bit puzzled at Carla's "It's your decision too" type comment. Surely it's up to Erica if she carries on with the pregnancy and Nick shouldn't influence her one way or the other.

I want to throw things at the telly when Callum is on , his acting is dire. why is Sarah suddenly "serious" about him?

Missed most of last night, enjoyed the bit with Roy socialising with the lads. And Sally getting the news about the painting.
I saw that about Carla taking a break next year. She is one of my favourites.
I do wonder a little if some of the cast are getting out, as they see how bad the scripts are, especially in the last while.
I agree re Nick, he looks far older than the age he is meant to be. I must catch up on last night's episodes, sounds like they were okay, overall.

For me it's been a better week than usual. I'm keen to find out more about Jenny and I like Erica.

I agree Nick looks too old for 34...he only looks a few years younger than Erica when the age gap for the characters is a much bigger 15 years. Ben Price is a good actor but he should never have been cast for Nick.

I think its a shame if Carla and nick don't get together. I really like them together. I wish sarah-lou and Bethany would move on. I have never thought the person who plays sarah could act, she still acts the same as she acted the teen version of sarah. Plus why does the character still behave like her teen daughter? Sarah has lived independently for 7yrs or so now right? And brought up a child on her own while having a full time job. She wouldn't still be acting like a spoilt brat
