Did anyone else notice a close up of a small black charred object as debris from the fire? Was that meant to be the candle then?

I don't understand how a candle could have survived the heat though. Mine melt on the windowsill in hot sun so how could they determine that a candle was even lit? Surely it would just be a puddle of wax at the most, considering the fire was so hot that all the other flats were alight and the ceiling fell in?

The Platt scenes didn't work for me because I found it unbelievable that Andy and Gail would keep up the masquerade for so long, especially after they found out Gavin had died.

So I was right about Maddie dying. Very clumsy writing with her and Sophie discussing getting their own place in the hope viewers would be more invested in them just before she died so it was too easy to guess how it would turn out.

Couldn't Gavin had said it was his best friend in the last picture his mum put the picture in?
Michael already has seen real Gavin and knows he was a friend.

I think it's a bit of jump to assume he has a fake son, why wouldn't he just think what's this picture doing in here at the end?

Looks as if there will be another hospital scene next week.

I didn't think Maddie was going to die, has Sophie not listened to the message Maddie left on her phone about Jenny, has Dev been dipping his wick elsewhere, where is Tony, will Tracey ever be caught, why is Deirdre not mentioned, will Mary live forever in Devs, can Rita really cope with a lively toddler being dumped on her every five minutes, will Jenny ever make her getaway witJack, will Maddie's mother turn up and be as weird as Tina's mother was...............
