ilove thinking of you yesterday as did a family trip to edinburgh museums, please remember some scarves, that hurling wind as you go up the steps at Edinburgh Waverley is something that even a man who's completed 4 tours of afghan may struggle with!! 
painted a wee lump in my throat reading about your dog, really hope she's a picture of health for many years to come. We've got a dog who's heading into her twilight years and it just doesn't bear thinking off. Lost my horse who I'd had for 14 years earlier this year and that was horrifically traumatic. You have just got to appreciate every day you have with them I suppose.
