pixie love the dried peas and rice but Kitty seems to have grown a big ginger beard...Confused

pixieg1rl · 02/05/2015 20:05

I don't have any female Playmobil. This will have to be the bloke who got hung.

orphan · 02/05/2015 20:20

Who knows though what the female convicts would have looked like without the recourse to immac etc?

Ilovelblue · 03/05/2015 08:31

Quiet on here so far. It's rare I'm the first. Everyone having a lie-in?

WHAJEB1 · 03/05/2015 09:00

Morning! Just trying to catch up, thank you so much for your lovely comments yesterday, was the scariest chapter ever to write - as per usual I take my hat off to you jen

ilove thinking of you yesterday as did a family trip to edinburgh museums, please remember some scarves, that hurling wind as you go up the steps at Edinburgh Waverley is something that even a man who's completed 4 tours of afghan may struggle with!! Hmm

painted a wee lump in my throat reading about your dog, really hope she's a picture of health for many years to come. We've got a dog who's heading into her twilight years and it just doesn't bear thinking off. Lost my horse who I'd had for 14 years earlier this year and that was horrifically traumatic. You have just got to appreciate every day you have with them I suppose.

Sorry for not posting as much, I shall continue to read, laugh and not think of anything funny enough to post prob Grin

pixieg1rl · 03/05/2015 09:10

If only ilove DS has been up between 5 and 5:30 every morning this weekend.

Ilovelblue · 03/05/2015 09:33

Thanks for the tip Whajeb. I will do some packing tomorrow and already have a jumper in mind to take. Please continue to post (and write amazing ff). In fact I have started reading Kinship again from the beginning today.

Off to Manchester for afternoon tea. My Amsterdam friend is paying for it as my belated birthday present.

Tipping it down here. Will need my brolly!

Paintedcherryblossoms · 03/05/2015 09:33

Sad news I'm afraid whajeb she took a turn for the worse yesterday and the vet had to come out to the house and put her to sleep last night. We are devastated she has been one of the family for 13 years and they house seems so empty this morning me DH and DS all propping each other up today still we were able to be with her on her bed as she went to sleep Sad and she had a good life Smile

Nickel45 · 03/05/2015 09:34

Morning. I crashed out with the kids last night (unintentionally ... should have been sitting with mum and dad ... while they fell asleep in front of the TV!). I'd forgotten how exhausting motorway driving with two kids is! Wave to richtea over the water and mooj over here, and thought of you pixie as I avoided the A13 at Lakeside!! Loved your Banish re-enactment pixie.

Got to go get kids ready for church, have a good day everyone.

Nickel45 · 03/05/2015 09:41

painted so sorry to hear that. Virtual hugs xx

WHAJEB1 · 03/05/2015 09:51

I am so very very sorry painted , devastated for you. Sending virtual hugs xx

Richtea19 · 03/05/2015 10:02

whajeb so, so sorry for your loss. Hugs and love are being sent to you from all the RichTeas. We lost our beloved Carlos a few years ago, and still find it hard to come to terms with it. We have the most beautiful Acer tree we planted in his memory which brings us joy.

A very rainy day here to. What to do...... Well I really need to clean up and tidy the garage..dull but needs to be done. Think CJ will be very handy , he might get a bit grubby though. ilove yes he is aware he is off to Jen, and I have warned him told him that orphan and I will be measuring him for his kilt!

Richtea19 · 03/05/2015 10:03

Durr, sorry meant painted Confused

pixieg1rl · 03/05/2015 10:10

Oh I'm so sorry painted, that's really sad.

Rhubarb01 · 03/05/2015 10:16

painted so sorry for you. We lost both our cats (16yrs and 13yrs) within four weeks of each other due to ill health a couple of years ago. I completely sympathise, it's horrible to be in that position but as you say the most important thing is to remember that you gave them a good life and cared for them and a well pampered cat has possibly the nicest life of all! I won't deny that I still feel sad about it from time to time and I do miss them but more often I remember all the sweet and funny things they did and we often laugh over the happy memories now.

Paintedcherryblossoms · 03/05/2015 10:30

Thanks everyone for your kindness x
I like the tree idea rich we are having her cremated so will be a nice thing to do when we get the ashes back.
Might do some writing and baking today to take my mind off things.
Have a good day everyone whatever you are up to Smile

orphan · 03/05/2015 11:59

Oh painted I'm so so sorry. Hope you and your family are all ok. I think richtea's idea is lovely. Something beautiful to remember him by. Our previous cat (who was a tremendous character - semi psychotic! ) had to be put to sleep at 17 yrs and is buried under a rosemary bush in our garden, wrapped in my favourite jumper. Probably one of the reasons we've never moved!

orphan · 03/05/2015 12:07

Horribly wet and cold here today. Feeling very demotivated but might make a crumble using some of our allotment rhubarb when really all I want to do is snuggle in my cosy tv-watching blanket and reread OG ff

icemistOBE · 03/05/2015 12:19

So sorry painted

Miserable but very warm here. Sorting out boys room- loads of baby toys to get rid off Sad and deciding when we get the bunk beds as youngest has taken to want to sleep in bed with his brother.

Nickel45 · 03/05/2015 13:27

I know mooj, bunch a numpties! Still, Wycombe won, so the battle is getting tense ... ish!!!!! I'm hoping for a playoff final at Wembley - Wycombe v Southend ... But which end do I sit in?! DH and kids in one and me in the other!?! Sounding better and better!!!

moojangles · 03/05/2015 13:31

Shrimpers all the way!

Onlygirljen · 03/05/2015 14:34

icemistOBE · 03/05/2015 19:20

Tonight's picture from TG is the cast at the 1st read through.

So glad it's nearly boys bedtime. Having few drinks with hubby tonight- well deserved after working hard on boys room today. Ended up painting where the walls had scuffed since we painted last.
