We saw Elle in this episode, so she there.

TizzyDongue · 27/02/2017 19:27

Gravy I think FrancisCrawford, the train crashed and it fell off about 10 years ago.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/03/2017 16:42

Seems I've missed one according to comments

And there is was on my planner 💓

Pixel · 02/03/2017 21:55

I was so cross with Charlie for letting Connie off, she gets away with everything! Shame she didn't get killed in the crash because she ruins Casualty for me.
Can't stand Cal either, he is very snide and devious. I really want him to get his come uppance and for nice things to happen for Ethan.

Thank goodness for Dylan, he is lovely.

TheRealKimmySchmidt63 · 04/03/2017 23:06

Davids acting was amazing tonight

TizzyDongue · 05/03/2017 06:34

And there was me an thinking it was just the opposite!! He's so robotic and stiff, quite detached from the character.

FairfaxAikman · 05/03/2017 07:27

I've always taken that he's stiff because he's on lithium for his bipolar.

Optimist1 · 05/03/2017 07:39

Lowly nurse outshines highly qualified doctor in Important Presentation and persuades the board to do the right thing.
Member of staff's child wanders round the department doing good.
Neighbour of elderly couple has instant personality change and offers to provide care for them.
I was swamped by a feeling of deja vu last night!

Can someone explain Ian's sister's job to me - is it the same job that a patient offered to her a couple of weeks ago (ignoring the fact that she was rude, wouldn't complete an application form and IIRC didn't turn up for her first day)?

TizzyDongue · 05/03/2017 07:44

Optimist1 I wondered that; in fact I thought I'd missed a episode where she'd not done the other job (though it wasn't clear what that was) and Ian had secured her a job in the hospital instead. I also wondered if they are setting her up to be a carer, or get a job wandering around in hospital being nice to lonely patients that job will exist in holby

FairfaxAikman I don't know if anyone I know is on lithium, so couldn't say if being stiff is a trait. I just don't think he's a good actor- though maybe it's the character he's portraying!!

TizzyDongue · 05/03/2017 07:51

Well from the look of it:

How well he acts will show next week

FairfaxAikman · 05/03/2017 11:33

Tizzy I had a family member on it and it did rob him of his personal for a bit. He hated it and says he will never go back on it again.

FairfaxAikman, that sounds awful. Though that would explain the emphasis David made about feeling, if lithium effectively stops the actually personality of a person it'd stop a person having feelings (well it is supposed to be a mood moderator isn't it? So I imagine that's the idea)

60sname · 05/03/2017 21:56

How is it even slightly credible that Ian's sister can't recognise numbers or count to three (the 'test' he gave her at the end)?

TizzyDongue · 05/03/2017 22:11

Because its casualty. But no worries shell be doing advanced calculus by next month!!

60sname · 05/03/2017 23:06
Grin
mrswhiplington · 06/03/2017 11:10

60sname I thought that too about Ian's sister, he asked her for the 10ml and she gave him the 20ml. How can she not know the difference between a 1 and a 2. She uses a mobile phone, they have numbers on.Hmm Why didn't she use the calculator on the phone to work out the change?

Thought it was very poor writing and acting all round.

Bestthingever · 06/03/2017 14:10

I never thought of the mobile phone example! I'm quite enjoying some aspects of the show at the moment but the writing is sloppy. David's son was supposed to go to school yet there's talk of a football match and lots of drinks so surely that would make it a weekend?!

Optimist1 · 11/03/2017 21:55

I can't believe what a pantomime they're making of David's issues - pity that they couldn't treat it a bit more sensitively.

Bloody Connie can put herself out to go to see the school talent conesst but not to get home to look after Grace?

Optimist1 · 11/03/2017 21:57

And Ian's sister has not only mastered reading and writing after a couple of sessions but also the correct use of the apostrophe?

The counsellor didn't exist

They are handling this storyline terribly

I hope next week is done better

TheRealKimmySchmidt63 · 11/03/2017 22:52

Awful storyline tonight agree with pp- making a real pantomime out of Davids mh issues - really unhelpful- then Connie taking time off last minute.com to support another child who was freely walking out of school Shockand leaving her own daughter - who looked glad of the break away from her - what a load of rubbish tonight
