I know there's a few of you out there...

OP posts:

Didn't the stalker stuff start before though?

My money is on Ian

GetHappy · 06/06/2016 22:20

If it is Ian do you think it could be a PTS storyline from when he was in the army?

MakingJudySmile · 06/06/2016 23:05

Hmm interesting about it being the new paramedic. He is annoying - if he leaves because of being a stalker I won't be too sad.

ThornyBird · 06/06/2016 23:11

Just caught up.

YY to Mr Meyer coming back. I recall fondly the Mr Meyer/Alex Adams Holby days. I would also like the really tall Casualty dr back, but can't remember his name - Clive?

No idea about Rita's stalker but don't really like her character so not fully invested in that storyline. I also like silent David. He and Robyn make a good pairing.

Optimist1 · 07/06/2016 07:11

Tall doc was Mike Barrett (played by Clive Mantle). I'd forgotten all about him!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 07/06/2016 07:17

It may well be Ian - making Rita rely on him. Didn't think of that !

heavenlypink · 07/06/2016 20:04

When my DS was born he was seen by a consultant called Mike Barrett - he looked a little like him too

TrixieBernadette · 07/06/2016 21:45

I said paramedic as a plot twist - meant Ian. He's so weird with Rita

WonkyCastle · 07/06/2016 22:54

I think the stuff that has happened to Rita so far has been genuine (ie ex, or ex's girlfriend) but Rita is going to start doing more, and setting up stuff as she is scared of losing Ian, and realises she can use these situations as a way of controlling and keeping him.

No idea why Ian has actually started being a knob, though. It's all come out of the blue - they were fine as a couple, and then he started being weird.

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/06/2016 18:26

Don't like the new doctor.

Not sure what the stalker is

TrixieBernadette · 12/06/2016 21:05

Mac leaving is a bit :-(

So Rita has been told it wasn't Mark, and is now suspiciously looking at Ian. Have I been right?! Is it Ian, doing stuff to be controlling?!

Emochild · 12/06/2016 21:54

I thought she said it was mark last night?

TrixieBernadette · 12/06/2016 22:05

When the police phoned her she said "it isn't mark, well who is it then" and then paused before something happened and she hung up (Alex/Joe collapsed I think?) so she lied to Ian.....

FoxesOnSocks · 12/06/2016 22:22

How come Mac got a lovely send off despite letting Charlie get suspended and taking his sweet time to confess and new doctor is still in the bad books?

Also why was Charlie at the addicts thing with Mac

Casualty is odd sometimes!!

TheDrsDocMartens · 12/06/2016 23:22

Was an odd one r last night

SoupDragon · 13/06/2016 07:21

I think it is because Mac is a Much Loved Character and came clean in the end.

New Doc is still in the bad books because that is her place in the cast list :)

Maybe Charlie was there because Mac was apologising to him as part of his therapy.

SoupDragon · 13/06/2016 07:28

They seem to be clearing out characters all over the hospital.

specialsubject · 13/06/2016 11:30

it is only soap but I'm glad I don't work in the Holby ED, where there are all such fawning sheep.

Mac let Charlie take the blame, yet is the total hero and gets a loving sendoff rather than the sacking he deserved.
Elle did what she had to do and is now being subjected to playground treatment even though she has been vindicated. Otherwise it would never have all come out.
Connie (who wasn't there last night) is the worst boss ever - stroppy, unprofessional (hair everywhere - also dresses like Simon Cowell but that's just funny), and has favourites even when she isn't having sex with them.
Robyn never seems to do any work.
Dylan is the one who makes it worth watching, plus Max. They get all the best lines.

yet everyone gets treated so quickly....

KenDoddsDadsDog · 13/06/2016 13:24

I quite enjoyed this episode . Glad the Mac thing is over. Hope Ian does not depart though !

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/06/2016 13:33

Shake Mac had to go but he did

Don't think it's IAN. I think k maybe his paramedic partner. He looked smarmy at being caught at stealing my food

JudyCoolibar · 16/06/2016 06:53

I must say I thought stealing drugs was sort of a criminal offence. I rather doubt every hospital would be so generous about letting Mac walk away.

SoupDragon · 16/06/2016 07:18

It's not a criminal offence in Holby. Even Diggers got away with it and I don't think he was the first.

JudyCoolibar · 16/06/2016 09:05

I'm intrigued by Holby's relaxed attitude to employment contracts. Apparently they have absolutely no problem with people deciding to leave their jobs and departing that day without serving their notice.

SoupDragon · 16/06/2016 09:08

that's because they know they'll have a replacement immediately without having to follow normal recruiting practices.

JudyCoolibar · 16/06/2016 09:35

Yes, it's amazing how many shit-hot medics there are hanging around ready to walk into a job at Holby at a moment's notice without having to apply or go through tedious technicalities like having references checked.
