Don't suppose anyone can summarise the last 20 minutes of Casualty from Saturday? My TV decided to stop working!

Cal bottled out of telling Ethan about their potentially devastating prognosis. Ethan could sense something was wrong but assumed it was Cal missing the baby...

Jacob gave Robyn a 'secret santa' shift off so that he can do can do it instead (and be working with Connie)...He and Connie ended the episode snogging outside the ED (that would never happen in real life in full view of all staff).

Robyn 'clocking' that Rita and the male paramedic are very much 'an item'.

Lofty and Dylan last seen together arguing over listening to the end of A Christmas Carol - the bromance is well and truly in progress...

Think that's it in a nutshell...

finally caught up 3hrs later

they did kiss but all the staff knew as connie shouted at him in the emergency room saying 'sleeping with me doesnt give you priviledges' and the staff in the room were

never understood how/why connie and zoe wear high heels in a 12hr shift in a hospital, then while rescuing girl in over turned ambulance she asked for her trainers

dixies instincts are obv right and weird seeing topsy and tims mum/emma in eastenders now in casualty

think cal didnt tell ethan as what his mum said was true, its a death sentence if positive knowing one day it will happen, the waiting is almost harder

how gay is new receptionist!!!

What the eff was we watching last night?!

Since when did it turn into the cal show

They do have the occasional episode where they concentrate on one or two characters having a crisis, I don't think there was anything wrong with last night's episode. And Sheila Hancock is always worth watching.

Who is the girl in the club and then in the boot of the car. Who is she to Cal?

A one-night stand, I think.

Don't like Cal much I have to say.

I don't like Cal much either, moln. He's really immature and prone to silly, impetuous behaviour. Which would be ok if he weren't a doctor.

I'm hoping this storyline leads to him growing up a bit. I do hope it's not going to be Ethan who turns out to have inherited the Huntingdon's trait.

It's ironic that Cal's main grievance with his mother was that she had kept him in the dark re the medical history but here he is making no effort whatever to determine whether Ethan is his biological brother, effectively keeping Ethan in the dark! You'd imagine that as a health professional he'd be well used to facing dark situations and then deciding on the next course of action.

Think that is my biggest bug bear with the character Optomist, he's sheer hypocrisy. My birth mother kept it from me she's a terrible person I'm not going to tell me brother because it's difficult

He's definitely a character I wouldn't miss. Now Ethan we can keep. Also I would like to see Ethan paired up with someone nice; and a bit sensible like him.

YY to keeping Ethan, and stop pairing him with totally unsuitable (lovely but dim Honey, scary Lily) women!

My DH insists that Ethan is Cal's gay lover.i keep telling him it's his brother, but he doesn't believe me.

I'm getting quite irritated with the new receptionist. He's so camp, it's virtually a caricature.

He reminds me of Sean from Corrie.

I've got a feeling, from the look on Charlie's face, that he's assuming that Ethan's been told. Could get interesting if the cat accidentally gets out of bag!

Gawd, I'm getting fed up with the Cal story. You've milked it long enough, Casualty writers, and the character simply doesn't have enough substance to sustain it. Hopefully Charlie will say something in the first five minutes of next week and we can get on with more interesting storylines.

Poor Lofty re the auction. I love his character, and I think Lee Mead does a great job with him. I bet he gets the promotion, but I do hope he's not the next in line for a big angsty crisis.

I'm mostly with you, GruntledOne, on the new receptionist, but I did laugh when he bid on the Joseph auction. In a parallel universe I'd quite like them to turn into the next item so that we don't have to sit through any more of Connie being girlish and simpering, it doesn't suit her at all.
