Started watching it on Amazon Prime last night, I'm hooked already.

Haven't read the books it's based off, which makes a nice change for me!

Anyone else?

I'm looking for THE Outlander thread on Mumsnet. Is this it? I watched the first season with no one else I know watching it, and I cannot go through another season perving over Jamie Fraser on my own. Please tell me I am not alone.

I'm guessing the people speculating in the modern scenes haven't read the books

Red I've heard for practical reasons they've veered quite a bit from the book, but DG has given her approval on everything. I'll be quite pleased if they leave something quite major out tbh.

I hope they keep at least the first few chapters the same. If nothing else it would be a shame for the people who haven't read the books to miss the WTF element

I could quite happily live without sections of the French story so long as the start and the ending are the same
