Started watching it on Amazon Prime last night, I'm hooked already.

Haven't read the books it's based off, which makes a nice change for me!

Anyone else?

The new trailer looks excellent!

hudyerwheesht · 11/02/2016 21:27

I saw the new trailer today - the bit at the end made me gasp out loud!

gingerboy1912 · 11/02/2016 22:43

Me too. That better not be a permanent state of affairs Angry

gingerboy1912 · 11/02/2016 22:43

I'm hoping it's just taken out of context

hudyerwheesht · 12/02/2016 10:08

Also wondered about a couple of flashes of other modern scenes, like her stepping off an plane - what's that about?!

Maybe it was out of context - a dream/nightmare?

cardoon · 23/03/2016 18:59

Anyone with amazon prime know when season 2 will be aired?

gingerboy1912 · 25/03/2016 08:45

April sometime not sure of the actual date

laundryelf · 25/03/2016 08:49

Think it's back Sunday April 10 on Amazon.

cardoon · 25/03/2016 16:37

OK, hang the expense, I shall be subscribing next month - a one off you understand Wink

Not long now.

I AM SO EXCITED.

Do you all watch it on Prime and pay the full £79 pa or the £5.99 pm?

gingerboy1912 · 28/03/2016 19:28

I got a years membership for £36 pa as a student which includes tv and prime delivery

OstentatiousBreastfeeder · 28/03/2016 20:14

Yep, we get student prime too.

We're not students though, we bought a lifelong creative writing course on the internet and applied for an NUS card... What?! You never stop learning Wink

OP posts:
WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 28/03/2016 20:54

Mmm, details of this creative writing course please? Grin

OstentatiousBreastfeeder · 28/03/2016 22:04

Keep an eye on Groupon! That's where we got ours Grin

OP posts:
WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 28/03/2016 22:44

Thanks. Never realised you could get an nus card from such courses.

I'm looking for THE Outlander thread on Mumsnet. Is this it? I watched the first season with no one else I know watching it, and I cannot go through another season perving over Jamie Fraser on my own. Please tell me I am not alone.

Redglitter · 02/04/2016 02:36

I'm guessing the people speculating in the modern scenes haven't read the books Wink

Im going to be gutted if they don't keep this season true to the book.

OstentatiousBreastfeeder · 02/04/2016 19:06

You're not alone Grin

Though don't let your obsession leak over into real life and have you stalkerishly googling Sam Heughan NOT THAT I DID OR ANYTHING. He's just not the same without a bit of mud and a kilt. So I've heard. Aherm.

Red I've heard for practical reasons they've veered quite a bit from the book, but DG has given her approval on everything. I'll be quite pleased if they leave something quite major out tbh.

OP posts:
Redglitter · 02/04/2016 19:29

I hope they keep at least the first few chapters the same. If nothing else it would be a shame for the people who haven't read the books to miss the WTF element Wink

I could quite happily live without sections of the French story so long as the start and the ending are the same

whatevermaycome · 07/04/2016 16:47

Just watched the 1st episode of season 2. Different to the book but flows more logically IMO

whatevermaycome · 07/04/2016 16:57

There is the same WTF moment, just in a different order. Not giving too much away to non book readers

OstentatiousBreastfeeder · 07/04/2016 19:15

Oh wow whatever, I didn't know they were releasing it two days early. How did you watch it, do you have the app?

OP posts:
pixieg1rl · 09/04/2016 18:48

marking my spot before tomorrow. Prime is all lined up and I will be hiding myself away to watch it on the laptop. Anyone use Amazon fire/stick? Are they pretty straightforward to set up? I'd like to watch it on the TV as well as covertly on my phone when I'm supposed to be making dinner
