Here we are again. Grab a Beardy Fucker, pull up a chaise and LetUs (nto) all fall into a drunken stupor.

Start as we mean to go on.

sparkles "I cannot believe you slept with the queen" - brilliant moment of tb acting.

fancy oh the hair! He shouldn't be allowed to have it cut for other roles / his n own life etc.

Morning Wenches. Day two of the most hideous cold i've had for years. I am feeling soooo sorry for myself :(

DH is working from home so I'm spared the school run, but will have to entertain DS2 all day. This is harder than it sounds because when I'm poorly he likes to come and sit on me and stroke my head. All day.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/03/2015 07:59

Oh, and RIP Terry Pratchett Sad

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/03/2015 08:03

Alibabs I'm starting to feel human now (day 10 of the cold) apart fom when I cough and cough and cough and... you get the idea.
Pours FuzzyTom for alibabs (and another for me, while I think about it)

Ask the television/computer if it would mind babystitting DS2 for a while while you sleep.... I feel life would be so much better if I had about 20 hours sleep a day... is there a job where they pay to to curl up and have hours of uninterrupted sleep? I want that job.

Morelikeguidelines · 13/03/2015 08:04

I agree Helen

I always tell dd the story "in the beginning there was nothing, which exploded. " when she asks where things like the world camefrom.

I love the guards and would have loved to know what happened to vimes, carrot etc in the end. Especially carrot.

LetUsPrey · 13/03/2015 08:05

DH has surfaced. Better go and pretend to be a responsible grown up. Or at least throw some clothes on and get DS dressed.
And get the washing on...

FancyFancy · 13/03/2015 08:59

Morning

It looks lovely in here helen, thank you.

I see the Aramis gif from last night has appeared at last.

BloodyElkFire · 13/03/2015 09:20

Mooooooooornnnninnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggg!!!

BabyElk only woke up ONCE last night......I'm like a new woman Grin

lovely job Helen but could you recover the chaise in real pauldron blue leather next time please, none of this pleather business thanks

I love the "I'm going to kill you" gif....Athos' eyes - hilaire, his hair is particularly gorgeous too, looks like he's had a navy rinse.

And that Santi photoshoot with the hat....oof!

and to update you re Elk vs Bobble....it seems that a Landrover beats a Beetle in the parking top trumps. Lyndie fyi, it's a private lane that turns into a footpath that runs down the side of the house. The public have a right of way, and there's a bungalow that has right of access so bobble head's parking space is not within our gates, but it is clearly private land as the bloody great sign says so!

TBH if she'd asked if it was alright I'd have probably said ok...I wouldn't have been that arsed, but it's the dirty, sneary look she gave me at the start, and the sense of entitlement that p's me off. That and the fact that she nearly ran me and the kids over as she swung in without bothering to slow down. She's done that to a friend and her kids walking up the footpath too. She's a cheeky bloody menace.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/03/2015 09:45

WTAF happened to my post?

Ok....

Elk - brilliant news re. BabyElk finally letting you sleep. And if you want real leather, then get it in stock and we'll re-cover the chaise again. Though I was thinking a dark navy leather rather than bright pauldron blue. Hurrah for car top trumps.

Comtess, linked to at ohmyactualgodtomburke, at two minutes in you can get a

Alibabsandthe40Musketeers · 13/03/2015 10:02

OMG Helen where did you dig that up?

That smile

Alibabsandthe40Musketeers · 13/03/2015 10:04

Elk my DH was reading over my shoulder last night and saw your instalment about parking your car in 'her' spot. He was practically frothing at the mouth with outrage on your behalf Grin

Yay on the sleep also. If BabyElk wanted to have a word with DS2 that would be great - he is 4 in two weeks and still likes to pay us repeated nocturnal visits. Hmm

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/03/2015 10:09

Alibabs it was linked from ohmyactualgodtomburke.tumblr.com/
Have you considered a lock on your door? Wink Or star chart/reward/bribery? '5 nights and no visitations = lego minifigure' sort-of-thing?

MadamedeChevreuse · 13/03/2015 10:14

Morning all. Straw poll of the day: if you could move anywhere in the country, where would you go? Best overall place in terms of house prices, cost of living, jobs availability, social life, schools...?

BloodyElkFire · 13/03/2015 10:14

Good God Helen!....even just a tiny snippet.....I'm going to be useless for the rest of the day now!

Cinnamoncookie · 13/03/2015 10:25

God, Madame, that's impossible to answer ! Jobs availability in mylineofwork is very London-oriented, but cost of living, travel, house prices are all crap.

If I could arrange it that I could have a great job, without a massive commute, I'd live somewhere in the Yorkshire Dales #YorkshiretilIdie

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/03/2015 10:26

I know, I know.....

Well, in other news, the mystery of Inconvenient Cat's uncharacteristic lack of appetite this morning has been solved... there are three little rabbit paws scattered under the washing line! (I suspect he ate the rest rather than there being a mutant one-footed rabbit hopping about the garden somewhere)

Madame come and move here, I want a nearby wench to visit. tbh I think your current location is excellent for general accessibility to everything except the beach, though you have the downside of stupid house prices.

MadamedeChevreuse · 13/03/2015 10:26

In theory I could freelance from anywhere...what is it you like about yorkshire cinn?

MadamedeChevreuse · 13/03/2015 10:28

The stupid house prices is why Im thinking of uprooting and going somewhere cheap helen... Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/03/2015 10:34

Ah, well we're cheap Grin I also like Yorkshire and I loved living in Scotland. The worst thing about here is that any trip with DS anywhere except the local playground involves a significant drive. There's sod all public transport in the sticks and very little entertainment for DS.

MadamedeChevreuse · 13/03/2015 10:36

Hmmm. At least you have the beach though!

Salford, anyone?

Cinnamoncookie · 13/03/2015 10:55

Yorkshire is the most beautiful and wonderful place in the world, with magnificent scenery, fresh air, good-looking and charming inhabitants, and generally everything anyone could ever wish for.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/03/2015 11:08

What's in Salford? Cheap housing? (I know nothing about Salford!)

Morelikeguidelines · 13/03/2015 11:12

Tb's godfather is Alan Rickman!? Sorry still very behind but I adore Alan Rickman. Often pretend I am Snape (am a bit odd).

MadamedeChevreuse · 13/03/2015 11:19

Well naturally cinn, silly of me to ask! Grin

BBC? Up and coming. And cheap (relatively.)

Yes morelike his godfather is alan rickman. Grin
