Gosh, three spelling mistakes back there... Must check auto correct more closely!

orphan · 16/03/2015 22:33

nipper great update and what's Bashira's dad's up to? I love her brother by the way.

Ilovelblue · 16/03/2015 22:37

orphan pity I can't send you some cake in the post!

The friend who is coming tomorrow is the only person who knows about this thread and the ff. She's not the type to judge and doesn't have a television anyway so doesn't know anything about OG in any case.

BS42 was not how I expected it to be. Rather sad (but good). Poor Nick. Will they be writing him out?

orphan · 16/03/2015 22:41

percy yes, Vic and Bob could join up with Phil Davis in the MN version for light comic relief. I can picture them leering and doing cod Cornish accents.

orphan · 16/03/2015 22:46

ilove cake rather than chocolate is my downfall. I haven't come across one I don't like (and I've done extensive research!) other than a heavy fruit cake. And I don't like royal icing.

Nickel45 · 16/03/2015 22:47

Bother, damn and blast .....
(that's the polite version!)

Noticed the reference to scones in BS42. Lots of black humour in that one and a bit poignant. I think Nick is being written out onto other projects. Perhaps with Mary gone they thought it wouldn't work as well and we wouldn't accept him flirting with someone else.

I managed about ten minutes of the BA film. I thought the actors were quite funny but the filming made me feel seasick. I'm guessing there wasn't a steadycam involved with that. It reminded me a bit of me filming the kids doing stuff when I get nervous for them and my hand shakes. As a small aside I had to laugh on the subject of spelling mistakes as according to BA's twitter the film was "staring a team of wonders" and he's right they were definitely all staring a lot.

Ilovelblue · 16/03/2015 22:57

orphan snap! I like chocolate but never buy it though I wolf it down if anyone buys it for my birthday etc but cake, yes, that is my weakness too. I will report back on the coffee cake tomorrow night.

BS42 was very deep tonight but (relatively?) realistic I guess. On a similar topic though, did anyone watch the service at St Paul's on Friday for the 13 years in Afghanistan? The Queen, Prince Philip and all the other major royals were there. It made me cry when I watched the highlights on Saturday evening. There we are lusting after a fictional army captain when there were some horrific stories mentioned. It did bring it home.

Rhubarb01 · 16/03/2015 23:07

Looking back on this thread I see I must have missed any reference to syllabub in Poldark (Must have been asleep at that moment). I remember him going to the dance and wondering why everyone seemed to be a Captain all of sudden - Poldark and Blamey and next thing I remember they were having a duel, poor old Verity was slung onto the floor and no one even picked her up - that sad old maid of 25! Looks like I'm going to have to watch again when I'm alert.

Have to say - I love cake and I'm not fussy and will pretty much eat any type. I'm probably fussier about chocolate. One year my DH bought me a massive white chocolate easter egg. Yuck that put me off for life! I recently ate some 70 per cent cocoa chocolate with raspberry. That was a bit yucky too!

Richtea19 · 16/03/2015 23:10

Off to bed and too tired for FF so will save for tomorrow before work.

Richtea is my name, so the clue is in the title!! Although DH sometimes refers to me as "cake, biscuit, bun" !!! I'm not fussy!

BK28 · 16/03/2015 23:22

Wow! You have all been busy on here! Took furlough for 48 hours and it's all change.

My DH was making noises about imminent divorce if I didn't put my tablet down as it was impacting on R/L... considered decompression but with all the ff updates from the superpens of whajebjenlola SPO and now a late one form nipper what hope is there!!

Nice picture ice .. spread eagled BA complete with swivel chair certainly brings a smile to the face!!
But would have to say that those are not briefs, BA is most definitely a snug trunks kind of guy. Baggy grey briefs only brings back memories of that scene in Notting Hill !!

mummyr sorry to hear your sad news, just remember to take time to look after yourself during this time!Flowers

Morning ice what a lovely pic to start the day!

Richtea19 · 17/03/2015 07:38

Morning all, lovely photo this morning.

mummyr sorry about your news, hugs x

BK28 I feel for you with RL getting in the way. DH seems to have accepted that the iPad is surgically attched to me!

Back to vets later today as kitty still not right. He seems to have a limp. DH noticed yesterday and I automatically thought of CJ and "even with a limp"

orphan · 17/03/2015 07:49

Morning. Love the pic icemist. He's looking straight into my eyes thinking "only you Orphan, only you".

richtea hope your cat is ok. (Make sure if they do anything to the leg that it's the right one!!) Our cat is very beloved in our family and it's very stressful if he's ever poorly.

orphan · 17/03/2015 07:54

Our previous cat was bitten on the head by a local tom thug and the vet had to show us how to squeeze out the infected pus. Confused Needless to say, dp had to do it whilst I hid behind him, murmuring "There, there.."

Nickel45 · 17/03/2015 08:00

Morning!

Great new story rhubarb what a treat to have a new story to enjoy. Really looking forward to seeing where this goes.

orphan · 17/03/2015 08:26

Rhubarb01 · 17/03/2015 10:11

Thanks everyone. Some of you know I've had quite a wobble about it all even though I still wanted to write something, so I just had to get over the first hurdle of posting a chapter and then try to get on with it. Should I be doing dozens of other things? Undoubtedly the answer's 'yes' but I suppose you've just got to go with the flow. Thanks for the support, everyone, I always appreciate it.

Richtea hope your cat's OK. We used to have cats before the dog and I loved them to bits. I hate it when they're poorly but they usually bounce back quite quickly. They just don't dwell on it like humans.

Orphan Yes my DH gets to do all the medical stuff on the pets and I do the kids!

cjwoofwoof · 17/03/2015 10:22

Eek! something wobbled with my internet connection yesterday afternoon and I've been in complete cold turkey mode not being able to get onto this thread! Still playing up as I can't always get it to load so dunno what's going on. Think we're getting superfast broadband installed in the area and it could be affecting connection strength.

Anyway...I'm back for the moment. Love that pic this morning ice that headset is an absolute hormone igniter. And jens "furrowed brow" one yesterday is a beauty.

Can't wait to read the ff updates whilst whisking up some syllabubs for ATs visit later. Sure he'll find MINE are the best he's ever tasted.

Hope the cat's ok Richtea. Sure he'll be fine, even with a limp.

percyjackson1 · 17/03/2015 10:41

Morning

Richtea Hope the cat is better soon.

What exactly are syllabubs? Apart from:
a) from the 18th Century, (not yours of course woof)
b)apparently succulent and
c) a very useful euphemism?

I could look it up but you know...
