ooooooof!!! APRICOT bravo bravo. I've just spent faaaaaar too much time watching that over and over and over Grin. Fab-u-lous.

Elk - big huzzah for MrE with the gallantry. Nice one.

Fancy - Ooof me tooooo! I'm all excited about that preview. Shall we play 'random speculation' based on that? Sorry to hear about the rat possibilities. A work colleague has had big trouble with them under her decking which has put me right off ever having that sort of thing in the garden. Apparently they're in 75% of garden sheds. Vom.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/03/2015 15:47

Afternoon Smile

OTB. On Ibuprofen and chocolate at the moment, feeling a bit meh.

Posting Apes Milathos video again cause it's really good, and another one, don't know if we seen that before Smile

Hope all wenches are having a lovely day Smile

LaComtess · 07/03/2015 15:48

Mouse - yes yes to the guilt. But in à way that sort of treachery is quite sexy eh Grin. I would also do soup. Possibly my Moroccan chicken soup.

LaComtess · 07/03/2015 15:59

Sooooo....

What did we see in that trailer....

  1. yay to the convent again. We'll all be pleased to get back there.

  2. marg comes good by the looks as she says to Aramis to save himself and leg it. I think she'll prob still die tho.

  3. Milady helping out and getting v up close to Athos. Phwoar.

  4. Milady being told to beg for her life by Rochefort. Stab him!!!!! Stab. Him!!!!'

  5. Kingy foaming at the mouth. He's said to Roche this week that he worries most about poison. Nasty bastard.

  6. nowt Constagnan that I can remember. Ditto Porthos.

Now whilst I think of it, with due deference to people who have actually shagged him, I'm not a MW fan. He used to irritate me to fucking huge extremes in Good Wife. And I just never thought he was a very good actor. Didn't think much of him in this til THIS WEEK. I think he did the unhinged scene with the Queen absolutely brilliantly. He's still a bit shirt tho.

I'm looking forward to a selective rewatch of: the pub bit and Dog and Athos in the 'entertainment'. The whole 'I bid nothing' was fucking sexy I thought.

On continuity watch Helen, did Athos get his sword back that he gave to the goons on the door when they were told to 'de-weapon'?

And yes Elk I'd love to listen to that 'I gave you everything' a number of times. He is just. So. fucking. Sexy.

I agree with the comment before as well btw about 100 livres not seeming that much.

AnneOfAramis · 07/03/2015 16:03

I rewatched this morning with DH. I had to suppress my oooohing and ahhhing.

Sorry I can't recall newbie who spoke about Constagnan but I think series 1 is key to get this - there is your justification.

LaComtess · 07/03/2015 16:05

Agreed Anne. Ditto Milady and Athos.

Wicked - yes it is a fab vid except the bouffy bitsGrin

FancyFancy · 07/03/2015 16:11

comtess my prediction is that I will be all in a lather at the scene where he's repairing the wall Grin.

I've heard that about decking too, it's put me right off. I am a bit concerned that the tunnels seemed to go under my patio Shock - reluctant to put poison down because of the cats, so will keep an eye out for further signs & hope that with the weather improving & the cats being out more, they may retreat back to the bottom of the garden.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/03/2015 16:14

I went for a walk earlier and found myself sniggering about Athos loosing his trousers, thankfully no one else was around Grin

FancyFancy · 07/03/2015 16:23

In the trailer, Marg was calling for help - was that after finding Kingy foaming at the mouth? Prediction - Rochefort poisons the King and frames someone for it - poss Aramis? He wants Marg as a key witness, but she warns Aramis (per the trailer) & generally refuses to play Rochefort's game. Cue curtains for Marg and Aramis (& all of us) feel guilty for being so horrible to her.

I would be surprised if any Musketeer dies, so guess Aramis is acquitted or imprisoned, which could be a set up for an awesome rescue. Milady to be instrumental in this & she either dies heroically, or survives & Athos forgives her - they ride off into the sunset together on unicorns Wink

FancyFancy · 07/03/2015 16:44

Or maybe Rochefort tries to frame Queenie in a fit of jealous rage & the Musketeers have to rescue her from prison before a trial. Aramis is FAF and heroic, they ride off in the sunset together to conceive the spare (better be quick so paternity isn't obvious) & I do a happy dance. Porthos throws lots of guards, Dog runs around & looks pretty & Athos & Milady have to work together to save Queenie. There is much sass & snark & sexual tension.

Rescued Queenie gives Trev his job back. Big surprise at the end of the series - Rochefort is beheaded for treason (poisoning Kingy) & the executioner removes their black hood & is shown to be...... Queenie. Wink Oh God that would make me so happy.

This whole post may be a big steaming heap of fangirly nonsense Grin

MyVisionsComeFromSoup · 07/03/2015 17:09

MW seems to have two main characters he plays - one is a cheeky chappie jack the lad type(eg Danny Blue in Hustle) and the other is menacing bonkers (eg Roquefort, Dracula, Teatime in the Hogfather). Annoyed I missed him on stage the other year though.

Roquefort will die in the final episode of this series though i'm sure - I got the impression in an interview with MW that he was a one series only villain. MW didn't seem as invested in the whole thing as the others did.

AnneOfAramis · 07/03/2015 17:11

Been productive in the library so now think I might venture to the bbc website to watch all the videos that I have missed.

DC are all back and have elected to watch a film.

Next Friday - requires a rewatch given that Comic Relief is not going to cut it. Shall we have a vote:

Episode 1 - ravine dramas
Episode 2 - Dog rips scarf from the neck of Athos
Episode 3 - Dog kicking in a door to save Porthos and his Moor sister
Episode 4 - It's in the Soup
Episode 5 - Our wench Mave's debut
Episode 6 - Let fate decide
Episode 7 - the death of Bonacieux
Episode 8 - hat fighting Aramis

AnneOfAramis · 07/03/2015 17:14

Disclaimer: this is in no way a dictator The Moor and no reason we cannot explore the rewatch etiquette that is multiple rewatches all at once Dog kicks in door

Or: Knight takes Queenie in readiness for the Convent

MiladyBeaWinter · 07/03/2015 17:19

Back from soft play hell - never seen it as busy, the noise was immense. Still DS had a ball and is of course now knackered, overstimulated and twining. Roll on bedtime.

I really hope they won't kill Connie off. Pleased I was wrong about Kingy. I think if anyone is killed off it will be Marg as no need for her once she has done the heroic thing and denied herself (or died) for the love of Aramis. Also thinking Roquefort should be a one series baddy but he may just get neutralised rather than defeated and of Kingy is staying then chances are he will retain favour.

And what about poor Cpt Trev? Does he get retained? I reckon so, as its Dog who succeeds him in the books but it's too early for that in the show.

Arghhh. I hate not knowing, two bloody weeks.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/03/2015 17:19

they ride off into the sunset together on unicorns that made me laugh Grin Fancy Also Queenie as the executioner. Re. the side order of rats - we have them too, peril of the countryside. They've gnawed into our compost tumbler now too. Sods. And we have decking which I think may be largely supported by mole hills underneath. Rip it up and put down a patio - that's what I say. (Anyone need anybody buried?!)

I need to rewatch the trailer. They're sneakily cut though - the one for 'Through a glass' was cut to look like Milady shot Aramis and thus made him fall through the window

Comtesse I think Dog retrieved the swords and lobbed Athos' over to him when they were busy escaping - around the time Aramis was busy pretending to be OddJob and using his hat as a weapon.

Back to housework again. (Who had the stupid idea to invite my parents to lunch tomorrow?! Am having to excavate the dining room table. Have found the Xmas table cloth on it now, so nearly there Grin ) Have also done three loads of washing to make up for having slept most of the morning

MiladyBeaWinter · 07/03/2015 17:24

Pfthpthpthpthphphwoooooaar re that gif. Yes it wasn't totally pretty, but my god what an arse. And he was fighting on stairs this week. Training finally paying off! Grin

I vote for KTQ for rewatch.

Alibabsandthe40Musketeers · 07/03/2015 17:33

Hello wenches :)

Been out to a NT place, DSs immensely muddy but will hopefully sleep tonight!

Fancy plot sounds good, maybe minus the unicorns Grin

WW I like that video. Luca moving is a very beautiful thing

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 07/03/2015 17:39

YYYYY KTQ.

Does anyone have a stand-out ep from S2? Cos I don't. Yet. I have HIGH HOPES for ep 9 again, Adrian.

I am loving all this speculating. Fancy yours are quite brilliant.

FancyFancy · 07/03/2015 17:44

Even the unicorns sparks? Wink

I'm always in the mood for a KTQ rewatch (& I can't make up my mind which is my favourite s2 ep yet)

Alibabsandthe40Musketeers · 07/03/2015 17:47

I think last night's was probably my favourite sparks, I just really wish that Connie and Dog had more chemistry. It's all very respectful and chaste.

FancyFancy · 07/03/2015 17:55

Sad about your rats too helen, we have a railway line at the bottom of the garden - very handy for the rats, (& mice, voles, foxes, badgers & deer) & puts me off a proper compost heap. My neighbour had either badgers or foxes living under her shed until recently - she was amazed the whole thing hadn't collapsed. Re the patio, I was a bit worried that the tunnels led under my patio

MiladyBeaWinter · 07/03/2015 18:04

Ep 5 of this series for me. Athos wet, drunk and half naked ' village did it for me Wink

We get rats outside, this year was the first time they got into one of the sheds. Gnawed into the box with the birdseed in and stole the fat balls. Little buggers. But we are rural, get mice and moles and all sorts of vermin too. And bastard rabbits that eat all my plants.

ApricotCrush · 07/03/2015 18:14

Ep 5 is my favourite too.

No, Connie and Dog don't have a lot of chemistry, do they? Athos and Milady have it in spades and won't do anything about it. I've watched the tavern scene over and over and it breaks my heart.

"I gave you everything." Sad

BBC MUSKETEERS; Swagger on Inn it's thread 85! Who's your daddy Porthos? Will Roquefort survive?
Baddz · 07/03/2015 18:23

Oh Athos.
Come here....I will make it all better...

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/03/2015 18:33

I'm on the Wine
