I like your assessment of the chemistry in the show apricot - that tavern scene was good.

I'd prefer Connie & Dog a bit more if Connie got her balls back, so to speak. Dog needs a good slap round the chops & to be told to stop pushing her around & pressurising her. He should take some lessons from Aramis - no pressure is needed there, he needs to fight them off . In fact that's why we knew the daughter was evil in this ep right from the start - she was immune to his charms

Yes, Fancy they've dumbed Connie down in this series which is a shame because she was quite feisty in S1. I guess they're just showing them as being less mature than the others, probably to appeal to younger members of the audience.

I agree massively with Alibabs ref the chemistry with Dog and Connie. I've now worked out what it is. The very best onscreen couples you always have a feeling that it's not really acting and they've been off shagging against walls in the rain after the cameras have gone. I have no such iota of inkling that Luca and Tamla have ever thought about each other like that. And sadly that does come àcross. And even tho Luca delivered the 'shut up and kiss me' very well, it wasn't pant wetting. If Tom did that line .....

Another thing about last night, Aramis being a player when he first turned up at the house snooping around was v well done.

Texted mum who is at the hospital today and she said he is more chatty than yesterday.
I also asked if any hot drs were on, but no reply yet :)
Looks like bil will be transferred back to local hospital on Monday barring any deterioration.
I will probably go in tomorrow again, but needed today at home to do washing...2 days of no washing OMG! it's like a Chinese laundry here!
also needed to spend a bit of time with the dc...ds2 in particular.
Just had a bath to try and make myself feel a bit more human.

I liked the episode....obv the Athos and milady scene was fucking epic.

Marguerite dies saving aramis in some way...
Rochefort dies - perhaps even at the hand of the king?....
Dog and connie get married....
Milday dies, but not before saving Athos, the musketeers, the king and France. I picture a touching death scene with her in his arms and them both forgiving each other
Not sure about Treville...if he dies I think it will be end of series 3 if that's the last one...and dog will take over the garrison.

Ds1 has been a pain re his homework today. Ds2 has been quite sweet.
Ds1 has a football match in the morning and I am planning to do an early lunch and then go to the hospital in the afternoon.
I've got a couple of errands to run for my sis too that I might do tomorrow.

You definitely get the feeling that Athos & Milady still love each other, but hate how the other has acted - excellent tension there.

Yeah rat tunnels, I was hoping a little pointy face wouldn't appear as I dug those over . Which is pathetic really as I love a fancy (nto) rat generally & have had them climb all over me & sit on my head.

Glad to hear BIL is making good progress badders & that you've had some time at home today. Hope you have a restful evening & tons of sleep. That is a very touching Athos & Milady scene you describe, it would really have me sniffling

I wouldn't expect them to have Dog & Connie get married this series, getting together so soon after MrB's death is scandalous enough, getting married would be for the times surely?

Mind you, they may finish up with a wedding & then kill Connie off if they felt really evil. My problem with that would be leaving Dog with less to do in s3, could work if Dog spent the series seeking revenge on her killer, but that's most likely to be Rochefort, who I think is more likely to die in s2. Milady? They seem to be rehabilitating her so far, so that would be a shock.

We have just finished the Moors episode. Dog kicking the door in and the ensuing fight scene was brilliant. I think that's the first time we had such full on new fight music. Aramis did some fab stabbing.

Now on The Return. Athos hanging by his hands. Can't wait for the barricades and Trev calling the shots. Loved those bits.

Also on the - one metropole and a glass of bubbly down. Waiting until dc are in bed before finishing the rest of the bottle in various champagne cocktails to celebrate spouse's promotion to Senior Lecturer which came through this week.

Wish I'd had the forethought to take them out to a NT place as then they might have run off more energy and not be winding each other up.

Not managed a full rewatch but have seen the travern scene a few times. I really hope that they don't kill off Milady this season. A murderer she may be but most of those murders have been state sponsored assignations - I can only think of the owner of her first dress at court as a murder which wasn't linked to some sort of political machination. If only Athos would say 'shut up and kiss me' indeed

Rats - I think we have them in our compost bin again and unfortunately next door'so cat who was an excellent ratter was knocked down and killed in the summer. May have to get the rat trap out...
